How much money has R* made you lose?

To clarify -

 

By money, I mean GTA$, or 'in-game' money.  This doesn't include how much you have spent on Shark Cards. 

And by R* making you lose it, I mean by way of annoying bugs or software issues - not from a griefer destroying you or because of your own mistakes.

 

For example, I have lost money because of the following things:

 

• Lost over 300k in a single nightclub delivery because at the black screen just before the sale is confirmed, by game lost connection to the servers (not my connection)
• Lost countless high end IE cars due to the spontaneous combustion bug
• Lost a bunker sale when my lorry decided to glitch out and jump 10 feet into the air and over a bridge
• Lost multiple amounts of cash where the game loses connection during a sale, and when you log back in, you have lost a small amount of your stock through no fault of your own
• Delivery vehicles becoming stuck on unseen obstacles and destroyed (as opposed to driver error)

 

What ways and how much have you lost?  I'm curious to see the stats.  I've definitely lost well over a million.  Possibly multi millions.

Easily over a million, simply because of Rockstar's failure to save after earning money. But boy, do they save the game quickly after you've spent a lot, that's for sure.

 

It's probably closer to $5 million or more.

I've probably lost somewhere in the region of $400K, with 'saving failed' (as above) incidents, I/E vehicle flameouts (the spontaneous type when someone enters or leaves a lobby), glitched cargo sales that didn't sell etc. 

 

I might have lost more than that in all seriousness, but I believe I've learnt my lesson pretty quickly about not trusting R* P2P 'servers' when I'm trying to make money. Once bitten, twice shy, and all that.

Oh yes, funny that isn't it??  I too have noticed how exceptionally quick my game saves when I have just LOST money because of cargo being destroyed etc, but when I've just made money, it takes forever and a day for the little yellow spinning logo to appear.  Must just be a shocking coincidence eh?

Mostly those, with some other (smaller) things scattered in every once in a while.

 

Definitely over a million. Not a *huge* issue seeing as I've made almost $430 million, but it definitely gets you frustrated for a few minutes.

Over a million due to a persistent ammo bug.. it migrates from one type to another. Sometimes it’s sniper ammo some times it’s the grenade launcher.. I clipped the loss once and sent in a ticket. R* refunded 750k

Not as much as my Elegy Retro customs, Sultan RS, AW Issi and Deluxos have given me.. Also my good friend Bogdan have been nice to have but a big reason I've been doing these things is because of things mentioned in this thread

"Saving failed" is rarely a server issue. They have a giant air-conditioned farm of the things.

 

9 times out of 10 it's because they have found an exploit and are stopping people from keeping the money made from it until it's closed, at which point they audit the player estate the best they can and remove it or boot everyone off and onto another box with a patch on it

 

That's why it does my head in that there are people here and elsewhere who brag about benifitting from exploits when it's the rest of us who ultimately get scr3wed over and cannot save the game or lose money..

You guys can probably get rid of the missing ammo bug but it will come back if your not careful.

I had it with the mk2 marksman and another time with the combat mg mk2. Every time I entered a job screen Id automatically lose all ammo for those weapons.

I think it has to do with gun lockers not having every weapon set to show, picking up weapons, buying ammo from job screens and mk2 weapons.

If you have carbine and special carbine mk2 dont buy carbine ammo from ammunation, only buy special carbine mk2 ammo from moc or avenger and same goes for other weapon slots where u have normal weapons and mk2 weapons mixed. Dont buy ammo from job screens and buy only heavy weapon ammo from interaction menu if you really need to.

Once I had the bug to get rid of it I had to set all weapon to show in the gun locker(I bought all weapons to make sure they all said show).

Revert all mk2 weapons to normal and fill all ammo at the gun store. Then you can go back and upgrade back to mk2.

In the 4+ years I've had my account I've lost about $500-700k over time for different reasons I do not recall. But because I have modded cash in my account that makes these losses trivial if not inconsequential, I have been highly reluctant to contact Rockstar support or make noise about it.

So yeah, if a solo money glitch comes up I won't feel bad abusing it.

Surprisingly only lost money from losing your mods bug during the Sultan RS/Banshee releases. 

 

What should’ve been over a million lost became a million gained due to an actual human interaction with R* support (never settle for the initial auto response). 

 

So technically, no money lost. You’d be surprised what you can get if you manage the next level of support (somehow was rewarded 500k twice more after an email stating I had not received the log in bonus during the window of time).

Outside of the disappearing ammo bug I don't think I've lost too too much. Except for a couple import export sales where I got the "unable to save because the game cannot connect to cloud servers at this time" message and I couldn't stay up longer waiting for it to save.

Well over a million, easily.

The last one I recall specifically was a meth sale. I finished the sale, got the notification of getting the money (+$180,000 or whatever the sale was worth), but my money didn't increase, then 10 seconds later my lab got raided even though I'd just finished selling the product.

I switched sessions immediately, resold the product (now valued at around $82,000 or thereabouts) and never touched MC businesses again.

Lost an MC plane sale during the 'wall of death' period.

Didn't get 2 of the $300,000 weekly login bonuses.

Had a bunker wedge sale just totally glitch out and lost the trailer.

Lost a Cuban's worth of crates due to the 'Titan glitch' the first time.

Much ammo lost here, there, and everywhere.

 

I've made way more, but that's not the point, so I don't mind when I get a little bonus, like getting this week's twitch bonus twice (first time that's happened to me) or when I made a bit extra using the TByte 3 rare crate source exploit. I probably made an extra $2m from that, but at least you still had to work for it like normal crate runs, it's not really a glitch IMO.

I just figured they owe me those.

We get frigged around often enough as it is during the normal course of events.

I'm not sure. I've had a couple of single car I/E sales lock up on me. I also had a 4 car (high end) sale turn into a fireball because on an "all players left" disconnect. That one was more my fault though because I was in a lobby with friends from Australia.

 

They have gave me a lot though. I have received a few bonuses twice, like the recent prime one.

 

I also have a reverse ammo glitch going on with my Combat MG mk2. It always refills the supply when I go from online to sp and back. Also does it after missions. I go crazy during survivals because of this

Back in early 2015, I lost nearly everything (over 14M) due to a weird playlist bug that had me automatically placing wagers (which seemed to double) after each job. This was the first and last time I ever saw it and I've yet to hear of anyone else who had the same experience, but I went from having about 16M to less than 2M after the playlist had finished. I nearly lost my mind; that was a lot of money back then, but after submitting a ticket with video, thankfully they credited me back with my original amount plus about 100K extra.

 

Other than that; I've not noticed losing too much from errors and the like. I have lost lots of MKII ammo after joining certain jobs and I once lost a fully modded Dukes, but they replaced the Dukes as well.
