Off the radar hack/glitch

Deadman2112

I have been seeing this more and more over the last 2 months yet nothing has been patched.

I've had conversation with others who have seen this both while we were on the same server together and alone. So I know I'm not the only person in the community seeing this happen.

I'm sharing this with the rest of the community to warn others and hopefully in the process prompt Rockstar to finally get off their @$$e$ and fix this problem because at this point it's now becoming widespread.

So without further Ado, here's a video showing proof that players can make themselves not only invisible to the radar but you can't even lock onto them.

First, it's not a hack. There's no need to use that word.

Cool video, but there's no need to prove anything, this glitch has been out for sometime on that site that shall not be named.

I'm sure Rockstar will get around to it eventually. They tend to react a lot faster when money making is involved, as a rule.

They also like to patch fun glitches like out of map, New Austin as Arthur, etc. So maybe post a video of you having fun with this glitch and that'll speed things up 😁

Okay fair enough. I won't call it a hack but either way it's still an exploit.

...A Cheat

...No Skills

...The Coward's way

...Chicken$hit

...Useless

Not disagreeing with the advice you gave however I'm not the one using it.

I'm the one who was a member of a posse simply trying to complete a mission but instead getting ambushed by a bunch of players who were off the radar.

Look, I get the Dynamics of the game.

Simply put, when you're doing missions...

I believe the saying goes "All's fair in Love and War".

But you see that's the problem right there. All is not fair when someone is off the radar and almost impossible to locate, let alone be locked onto.

...and it's made even worse when there are several of them.

As mentioned, that's been around for awhile. I like this one better, player blip on radar but player invisible.

^^ ...and the PC version of RDO (which exists; plenty of proof now), will be exponentially more problematic than this.

lol I can sense the sarcasm. But we'll be used to it.

Been that way in the PC version of GTA Online almost since day one.

With Ability Cards being virtual Rockstar-approved hax, what else is new anyway?

But seeing as consoles have typically been safer places to play (and I play RDO on the PS4), I couldn't agree more with Deadman2112.

I had this happen to me yesterday (or something similar). The guy was on the minimap but I couldn't actually see him. He then appeared from nowhere and shoved a knife in me. It was very annoying.

The Dedito Gae

Reminds me to the passive mode glitch back in the day, with the added element of being able to interact with players in the main map... f*cking annoying.

Failed Again

glad I read this, I experienced it today in Valentine

Ghosted (Red)pink) dead npc and players everywhere.

Killed me in defensive mode in camp cook site- Valentine and my horse .He was impossible to target-I checked the map-he was using Slow and steady- so not SB

then sniped me as I  respawned,

Then It began Raining(Many) posse members from the sky- looked like Jack in the boxes,,sort of funny

I had some sympathy for killing isn't Griefing..But there's just No END to the lengths people will go to exploit the Rules( even saying its fair- there are no rules..fine then there will be less folks willing to engage in RDR OL

If you choose to play in free roam, that's  probably what you can expect eventually. The griefers/bullies and those who cover for them are the ones in control. I know people who no longer play because of the griefers/bullies.

Unless, of course, you play in a glitched solo/passive lobby which Rockstar might frown upon. But, for some of us, it's worth the risk.

I generally take a somewhat passive stance in regards to how others acquire their money and the like, but something like this; no, never! Forcing yourself off the radar or to be invisible so that you can attack/grief others is the absolute worse and in a perfect world, would be worthy of a long suspension/ban and/or character and asset wipe.

I too have seen this though. Thankfully I've not been attacked and killed by them (yet), but the more people who learn of this and decide to partake and the longer R* drags their feet on a fix, the worse everything could easily become for the state of free roam. It's pretty sad, really.

A lot of GTAO's problems on PC (and 360/PS3) are a product of how the game was made, I would imagine they learned their lesson with RDO and I suspect they have in places but we can't know for sure yet obviously.

But basically there's a reason you can't spawn sh*t in other online games but you can in GTAO. Might be difficult to fix in a game that's already out but it's an easy fix for a new game.

Its gonna get bad I believe, Each attempt by RS to enable a passive style has been quickly meet with anti measures to weaken the effect.

Time will tell; I have my doubts as to just how different GTAO and RDO are, even in terms of the 3D construction of buildings.

My best guess is that a sizable chunk of the limitation(s) in the 3D wall breaches are related to Autodesk's software that R* uses... which (if you know Autodesk) has its own share of glitches that never get fixed.
