Oh damn, dat car makes me hard🥰 The GTA SA Infernus always seemed to be most popular back in the old days. I like it because of the design.

thanks for feedback all,

 

So, Unfortunately I have to delete whole infernus, and do it again, after taking advice from elite 3ds max artist recently.

This will reduce size massively, and will have better UV and AO Map this time will be on each side.

Since this new UV and AO Map will be so simple when you look at it, you guys could just drop it in your photoshop or whatever and paint, draw and drop all kinds of logos, marks and details, ( AO Map is not black and white effects only for the record)

I might drop gratis few of my own AO Maps like : Dirty version of infernus.....

 

In the end car will be low in MB size and cool for customization.....

This is officially 3th time I making this car, and hopefully last time, and still have love for him...

this time I decided to remove lower lights on front bumper like in real Acura

and to connect taillights in one part

Car is done, Junior will run full test soon and we will see what more can I do, so expect release sometime this week.

What's new since my last showoff, apart from fixing many bugs I added few details, up you can see dirty tires and dirty inner parts off chassis (As I past by tons of parked cars when I go outside, there's always some details to notice, this is one of them.To make infernus more dirty isn't a good idea, since car is exotic and rare in game.Medium reflection added to brake disk and pipes.Damage is reduced and more...

Everything fits to game universe, clock says 221 KmH , on speedometer 220 is marked, and NO Ezekiel marking on car, don't be silly.

About car DFF size, last year I made my first car and it was Infernus 11mb in size.So I didn't expect to hear 1 MB or less than 2, that's cold, but I know most of you aren't familiar with 3D modeling, so we won't continue about size, I expected you'l say like 4-5 mb, which is typical for very detailed car for this game.The truth is I expected more people to come here and say something, but I think you all got satisfied with all these infernus remakes, I got it to trust me.

Let's see will next car attract more attention and then we could talk about making more.

This might look easy when I crank these models fast, it ain't, just check the date of post when I started making it again...

At very first steps of making car like this, yeah, it's what I do, I make exactly same car in 3ds with clean mesh.

I don't know if it's a feature of VehFuncs, but is it possible to animate the speedometer needle? Change direction as the vehicle is moving, unless you have also implemented it. I guess the speedometer along with the needle is just a texture, so I wonder if you could add something like that.(?)

Forget about Active Dashboard

 

About that SpeedoMeter mod, it ain't just needle, it ads clock which say 280 top speed, so all cars are exotic..

and I found that simple steering wheel mod, cleo script which works like any other dummy system in game, Junior will add that in VehFunc with he's eyes closed, about gear and needle, will se can it be animated, just so it don't stand still.

So in that mod needle moves when car is accelerating, so it's possible..

I wont addapt cars to 5 cleo mods out there, it will be only these two VehFuncs / ImVhFt

 

Edit;

Junior is currently unavailable and this mod might end up dependent on vehfuncs.

Why? We might get even more than just these 2 features....

Today was boring day, but I'll decide to share little behind the scenes, for those who interested..

This down there is Unwrapping, there is no button or tool which will make better UVmap in seconds, just Human hand, I learned that a hard way but in the good way thru these years.

So yeah, this is how UV map is made...

This is how early born textures looks like,

than in PS, we add inner glow, in english =black shades on edges - you can see on 2 images bellow

and for this hours of Unwrapping pays out

Tomorrow will start paint in PS this texture, AO map shades comes at the end, I need full model done so I can bake AO Map, that's the most fun stuff, you setup settings in blender and let Blender bake that 6k AO map for 6-7 hours.

Why 6k, better quality when you resize it later to 2k, something you won't hear on internet tutorials.
