 Welcome to the Pistol And Revolver Elimination Game

 

 

The object of this is to pick a winner from the different Pistols And Revolvers in RDR Online

 

 

The Rules:

● You add one point (+1) to your favorite Pistol or Revolver and subtract two points (-2) which you can split (-1) (-1) for your least favorite(s).

● It isn't allowed to add and subtract from the same item in one vote.

● You're only responsible for changing the score to reflect your vote, not the person before you.

● You can vote once per day (every 24 hours). You can do it after 21 hours minimum, but if it becomes a habit it will not be allowed.

● When we are down to the last three, you need to vote after 24 hours. Voting earlier than 24 hours is no longer an option at this point.

● Copy and paste the list from the last person before you. This helps out everyone to see what the scores are and we can prevent disinformation from spreading through the game.

● Do not use multiple accounts, this is not allowed and action will be taken if you are found to be doing this.

● Only vote in these games if you have been a forum member for two weeks at least. If the person above you hasn't been a member for at least two weeks, then you should ignore their vote.

● If the person before you votes wrong (not forgetting to write the correct scores, but doesn't vote as the first rule implies), you shall ignore that vote.

● If you are new to this game do as the regulars do. If you disagree; they are right, and you are wrong. Accept that or leave this thread.

● Please show what you voted for in your post, as a example:

+1 to the LeMat for all-round versatility, -2 to the Volcanic for performing more like a revolver while having the ammo restrictions of a pistol.

-2 on the volcanic pistol mainly due to its slow rate of fire.  Has all the disadvantages of both revolvers and pistols but none of the advantages.  

 

+1 on the semi auto pistol for it’s rate of fire and ammo capacity.  

 

I currently carry art a semi auto pistol and a LeMat.

 

The sawed off shotgun should be in this thread rather rather than the shotgun thread since it is held in the handgun slot.

Sidearms would have to include the bladed weapons as well. Those are for another game.

Technically the sawed-off would be considered a Pistol - it has no buttstock, cannot be shouldered and is way too short to be considered a long gun.

(+1) LeMat Revolver. The LeMat is incredibly heroic. Even without the shotgun barrel, it just feels special. With the shotgun barrel though - it is actually really useful. You'd think it's just a gimmick - and maybe it is with the real gun, I don't know - but on this it's useful. You can essentially have two revolvers or two little shotguns at the same time.

 

(-1) Semi Automatic Pistol. A high fire rate isn't king in this game, not like it was in the first Redemption. Aiming bloom/inaccuracy stops it being a big deal.

 

(-1) Double-Action Revolver. Same as above.

Aesthetically, the Mauser always looks out of place in a rugged western setting.  It also looks like a squirt gun.

 

The semi auto pistol, particularly if it has etchings, has a charming steampunk vibe. I expect that 3 years from now RDonline will be described as a western steampunk game.

My favorite sidearm is a tie between Schofield and LeMat. I suspect that the LeMat will do just fine, so I added +1 love to the Schofield.

i voted for the semi auto pistol because its my favorite sidearm in the game. maybe even my favorite weapon. i just like the way it looks. plus i like being able to insert the magazine. instead of having to hand load a revolver.

 

i also downvoted for the volcanic pistol. i honestly am not a fan of this gun. i much rather would have had the high power pistol than this. its just a pistol version of the henry. nothing too special.

I prefer revolvers over pistols and the LeMat is the only revolver I use now.

 

I'm really not a fan of the semi automatic and automatic weapons, I find them unsatisfying to use and the high fire rate feels a tad gamey to me.

-1 Cattleman - looks good as a stock gun, looks stupid with an elongated barrel.  Since lengthened barrels are basically necessary, the cattleman looks stupid. A pity.

 

-1 Volcanic Pistol.  Useless.  Got it for free with ultimate edition or PS4 bonus or something.  Wish I could take it off my wheel.

 

+1 Semi Auto Pistol. Fast firing and with a good ammo capacity.  Being the first to get that second shot can be a lifesaver. 

 

Surprised the Schofield isn’t getting more love.
