iiCriminnaaL
I recently recognized an issue with drifting while vehicles are stationary, which is caused by the driving force adjustments. It varies from being slower to impossible from a vehicle to another. I'll hopefully try to do something about it later on. On 7/13/2021 at 4:40 AM, Maximas14 said: Hi, this is my first time playing gta 4, should i install this mod? this seems good options for first play, or should i play it vanilla I highly think that you won't find an extreme difficulty with it even in the first playthrough. It's recommended to keep in mind that, given the weapon adjustments, taking cover is very important than ever in shootouts, as not only weapons deal more damage than originally now, but the A.I. is now more accurate in shooting as well. Random bullet spraying isn't very recommended, as weapons now have less max ammo capacity, making it more likely for the players to run out of ammo in the middle of a shootout if they don't focus in shooting as accurately as possible. Moreover, during vehicular chases it's more important to shoot the targets themselves and/or the tires than trying to blow the vehicle up, as vehicles now take much less damage from weapons than before, sided by the fact that, as I mentioned, weapons have less ammo capacity than originally. In general, just playing more tactically shall make the gameplay well balanced. Driving/transmission force has been adjusted for several vehicles, and that is issue now most likely completely fixed. Additionally, suspension force has been minorly adjusted for several vehicles. iiCriminnaaL
Max ammo of the Rocket Launcher has been increased from 4 to 5, as well as the Grenade Launcher's from 6 to 10. Ammo of weapon pickups has been increased for several weapons. Moreover, just like in the standard version, Pipe Bomb pickups in the Improved Animations Pack compatibility version now offer 3 grenades instead of 4. Pepsi Man
I tried installing both Responsive Plus and Potentian Grim in the same order like here : but the game always ends up just not launching, I press "Play", it loads for a few seconds, and then it resets to default like I've never booted it up on Steam. I am most likely messing up either Responsive or Potential, because the installation is really confusing to me, there's an "EFLC" folder in both, which contains the "common - data - cdimages - script.img" whicn ends up replacing the same exact files from the "IV" folders in both mods. Internet Rob
Quote Fixed some vehicles appearing too rarely (by removing them from the "POPCYCLE_CAR_GROUP_BORING_SALONS" group). Hey @iiCriminnaaL would you mind telling me a little about this? I'm curious how this car group works, is it intended to make them spawn less often? I noticed it features some gems (e.g. Hakumai, Cognoscenti - I love these!)
Panzermann11
Can you make a version for Complete Edition with compatibility for the radio downgrader? I'm using CE and when I replace the text files, it breaks the name of EFLC-exclusive radios and replaces it with "RADIO 22" or something. I think it also breaks the song names when looking them up on ZiT, but I haven't checked to be sure. Edited February 5 by Panzermann11

All you have to do is follow through the directories the folders inside the archive file are leading you to in OpenIV. Any items that are not directories, drop the files within that directory. If you want to add, replace or remove files in OpenIV, click on "Edit mode" on the top right of the program's interface and click yes. As mentioned before, if you're unsure you're going to ruin your install, make a backup of GTA IV before adding, replacing or removing files. As mentioned before, if you're unsure you're going to ruin your install, make a backup of GTA IV before adding, replacing or removing files. I did edit mode, etc. However, 1, as I said, there is nothing specified for complete edition, do I need to install just the GTA IV folder, or the EFLC folder, or both? Second, do I simply drag and drop into the OpenIV ui over my own directory once I'm in edit mode? Cause the first time I tried it I don't think I got asked about replacing anything and I wasn't sure if there was some import command I had missed. edit: OpenIV makes no sense. It FORCES me to install to a directory, then tells me that the functionality of the program is being harmed by me running it as an administrator. I am not running it at as an administrator, and I made zero modifications to the program to do so. The program tells me if the software is launched from program files (WHERE IT FORCED ME TO INSTALL) that the program may launch as an admin. It then tells me if use the program to enable permissions in the folder directory that it will be fine. I do so, I restart the program, open it, says I am still launching it as admin. Drag and drop does not work because of this. edit2: I've reinstalled OpenIV a second time, took my game directory off of read only, and i'm not getting the administrator message I was getting before but drag and dropping is doing nothing as far as I can tell. I'm getting no message to confirm overwrite, nothing seems to load or change when I drag and drop. Edited March 17 by TerryStump

Drag and drop does not work because of this. The mod is compatible with the RGL version of GTA IV, I tried it myself before downgrading. Even then, all three versions share the same file structure. Install everything for GTA IV. For the EFLC folder, ignore common and pc folder and only install the files for TBoGT and TLAD. Yes, you drag and drop to the intended location when you're in edit mode. Did you read the warning prompt after you click on Edit mode? It clearly warns you that dropping files through the program will immediately save before proceeding. I don't know what's the problem there. Looks like an issue with permissions on your system on who can launch the program or it's improperly installed because OpenIV launches okay for me without a prompt to launch as an administrator. TerryStump
I believe I got it installed or partially installed the first time for GTA IV because the weapon damage had changed and prices in ammunation and handling seemed to change. I've now attempted to install it for EFLC and am trying TLAD. The game directory keeps resetting itself to read only so I cannot tell if what I am doing in OpenIV is actually working. My main issue is when I drag the files into the program, I don't see any loading bar, or any message to confirm that anything took place or completed. Should I move my game directory to a different location temporarily to mod my game perhaps?
