Hoping someone can help with a posse versus contest

Hey everyone. I have a daily today to complete the "Herb Picking Contest" and I can't for the life of me get it to activate.. I've had 2-4 other members in my temporary posse, and same in my persistent posse, and it's always grayed out. I hopped sessions, quick joined and backed out of a story mission, completed a story mission, and nothing... Any help would be appreciated, or if someone that can start the contest can add me and help me complete it, that would be fantastic. Not the end of the world as it's only one challenge, but I'm a stickler for doing all seven each day if I can lol.
