The guy didn't reply to neither me or the mods. His "leak" doesn't really have anything that makes it look legit to me.

First week of May and I'm seeing some progress on SteamDB, 3 updates to the development branch.

I guess Rockstar set up meetings in the last few weeks to prepare the developers to kick things off in May? Boosting up the production rate even though there are some obstacles like Motion Capture which requires the developers to meet up in the studio. Nonetheless, it's nice to see that the new policy didn't slow them down for as long as this pandemic is going.

So, you're saying that maybe the motion captures will kick in May and maybe late June, we can get the dlc?

I'm saying development is proceeding at a faster rate, for all I know, it could be bug fixing or anything else. It may not have anything to do with motion capture so it could remain as an issue.

It depends, maybe Rockstar found a workaround to deal with the obstacles which lead to the boost in production? This would be a good sign that the new content could be done sooner than later. Or they are prioritizing certain parts of the update like bug fixing while looking for a workaround, this would be a good sign for the update quality, but more time would be needed.

Whatever the update might be, I am sure some aspects of it are gonna be cool.. vehicles i.e. BUT I would love to see r* going back and revisiting some old cars by introducing new liveries to them! (e.g., Warraner, Pigalle, Coquette and Brawler.)

Yeah, so many items need a rework, it would be great to have a homing launcher MKII that would be able to take out oppressors MKII, also, the .50 cal pistol is a joke compared to its real life counterpart or in other games and definitely needs a buff like many other items in this game.

Usually SteamDB updates around this time mean a DLC coming in June, at least that's how it has been so far. But yeah no one can know for sure.

I do believe that'll become the norm as it clearly worked given R* was so pleased, and it also see's those players that do enjoy both games have less time for each alone potentially making cards/gold more viable as after all, that is the key to any DLC.

Completely unrelated to anything to do with R*, I know that there's at least one mocap studio in NY that's open for business again. The queue for studio time is probably around the virtual block right now.

 

Even if there are major constraints, the good news is that (in theory) we're no longer in the 'mocap is impossible at the moment' phase.
