Knowing R* though, they won’t have any good money making bonuses, since they know everyone’s home and could grind a lot... prolly just shark card sales and discounts on business's that we’ve already had for years.  They’ll try to milk out all the new players or the people who don’t grind that much.. Since unusual players will be on, by trying to get them to buy shark cards.

Source: I work in research and was responsible for engineering several schemes of remote work for different institutions. The trickiest part is to plan ahead and anticipate as many bottlenecks as possible, but that not only requires a lot of time and observation but is also limited in principle, because some of the new problems will always arise no matter how good are you prepared. Right now we are using a lot of different commercial applications, but my line of work is mostly progress tracking and publishing coordination. Even editing a scientific text remotely may be tricky, especially if you are working with different statisticians/ math specialists. Especially, in the beginning when the approach is being decided. Remote work is not as simple as video conferences, although they are useful and I am working on weaponizing it right now to orchestrate online conferences and it is far beyond Skype/ Facetime. There are more applicable solutions, although I will not advertise anything.

 

P.S. Considering that R* have implemented remote work recently and it was not a public knowledge that they have used this approach before, everyone should expect that it is going to be a clusterf*ck, pardon my English. Not because it is R* or any other company, but just because you can not simply do it fast and successful. Even driving a car in US/UK will differ dramatically and we are just talking about a traffic rules and different placement of a steering wheel. Remote work is FUBAR going to SNAFU over time unless it was prepared extensively, instructions were distributed, tests were made, load was balanced and feedback is constantly being accepted.

Not to mention that most "office type" environments, of which Rockstar is certainly one, given the secrecy of what they do, are not able to easily scale old-school "VPN" type solutions to their entire workforce en masse.  I work in software and the divide is massive of traditional "office work" and new / cloud-based IT systems

Surely they have a bunch of finished or nearly finished cars sitting on a server somewhere, now would be a great time to break off 15-20 of them and just release a big batch of cars and nothing else. Everyone is at home and restless, give us the good sh*t they’ve likely been holding on to like the CC, ZR350, actual Dominator Classic, Savanna, Euros, and whatever other cars they’ve likely been holding out on..the sharkcard sales would skyrocket!

So what do you all think we’re gonna get as far as the new event week tomorrow, will it actually be good like 2x, biker sell missions, Bunker, night club speed, good vehicle discounts or will it just be discounts on properties that most of the consistent players already have and just try to fish out shark card sales to take advantage of people being at home.

Tomorrow will be the preplanned event week, and then either at the same time or later they'll layer on some more goodness. That's how I read it.

I guess, I tried to play those when they came out and every time I got in a lobby it would say that everyone left.  I tried it like 3 or 4 times and just gave up.

Good activities paying double is nice, but twice monthly mini updates with 2-3 cars apiece would be the best. Not likely, this I know, but imagine getting a pair of cars like they did with the Sultan RS and Banshee 900R but instead it’s cars they’ve been holding back (we all know they’re holding some gems back, likely finished or close to it...)

 

But yeah, I’d gladly settle for more OWR, OWR creator, and some Ron and Gerry missions..

Tomorrow? I wouldn't hold my breath, after all it was only this week everyone started going into lockdown so this week might still be "Part Of The Plan". Next week is when they might do something more interesting. They might even kick it up a notch and make event weeks rather basic, but on the weekends they'll double something BIG, like in the run-up to Gunrunning there was an event week where just for the weekend they doubled all the Heists without warning.

 

You need to remember, this situation has essentially halted R*'s ability to work full steam ahead, therefore delaying any of their projects by a good while, thereby allowing people more time with the game to earn money, which they have even more of now if they can work from home. What that'll result in is a either a boom in GTA$ meaning economic hike in the next or even all future updates.

 

But at the same time, this is a period in which people will be needing something to keep them occupied.

 

My low level decision: Double or at the very least 1.5x All Contact Missions for the time being.

 

My high level decision: Get in touch with the programmers, see if they can polish up a copied build of the Mission Creator that has Cash payouts use a formula that results in anywhere from $5,000 - $100,000, like how the current Dev one for RP is RP = (Rank * 10) + (Num Enemies) + (Gang Chase peds * Rank). Also, it'd need to remove the Originally Planned Heists option.

Until then, I'll stick to singleplayer driving the cars Rockstar should be adding. Like the Euros and a ZR350...

You know I never really thought about this before. 

 

Total random thought that has no merit behind it. But maybe this is why some new cars have old sh*tty interiors (Like the Krieger), because they were made months/years before they were released.

Pretty sure they were just lazy with the Krieger -- and the Emerus. These two are the new fastest Super cars, so people were going to buy them regardless.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I just want every update to open some new interiors and give us some new cars. That’s it. Doesn’t need any game-changing mechanics, doesn’t need any new businesses, none of that. Just let me into some of the restaurants, businesses and landmark buildings.

What about mansions? Unfortunately for us the casino and resort DLC brought the penthouses which would “replace” the mansions a lot of people wanted. But i do agree on you.

We have about 9 un-released podium vehicles left (10 vehicles if you count S80RR which has been on the list since Casino update)

This means the game won't have new podium vehicles to be featured on May 21st or 28th unless Rockstar update the list.

Rockstar might update it with like 1 or 2 new podium vehicles just to get into June and then drop the new update.
