No, they are part of this DLC. In fact on PC people have already created custom open wheel races that can be played without mods.

Just had another go on the single seater races, not convinced at all. We had slipstream on but ended up strung out, for the most part you were just running around on your own. At the start and if someone made a mistake cars got close together and inevitably rear wings got knocked off, which forces a respawn. Also the tyre drop off is too sudden - soft tyres, going along just fine, then out of one corner it spins, next corner same thing, next corner same thing again and tyres pop forcing another respawn. Its more fun racing the new Albany if I'm honest..

You can count with that! xD The next dlc will be open wheel races, and we got already two open wheel vehicles in this update, which together are wlike 7 millions, so, imagine 15 cars costing each one 3M.

This may not be the ideal thread for this but I don't think it warrants it's own thread, I have to give R* some props for the casino heist.. Finally a heist with fun, soloable preps and a decent payout when played correctly. I made over 2 million today between running a sneaky finale I had set up, and 2 loud finales for friends. The heist itself doesn't take much time or effort, and is variable enough to be fun when replaying. I paid off My V-STR and then some while also unlocking the trade price for the drift Tampa. Feels like R* genuinely listened to feedback from the first two heist DLCs. I've done the casino heist going on 30 times now between my own and friends and it's yet to get boring. Can't wait until the diamonds go up for grabs!

I've really surprised myself at how much I have enjoyed repeating this. Probably run it at least 2 dozen times, maybe more, and it hasn't felt repetitive at all.

 

In the initial couple days I was worried I was going to tire of it quickly, but it can easily be done in under 2 hours start to finish with little effort. I have completely changed my mind on it.

My speculation for the future of the dripfeed: Drift Tampon next, then the two Dinkas and then the open wheel cars before finishing up with the Stryder. I really don't think we'll see the open wheelers until the very end of February unfortunately, heck they may even skip a week and release the Gerald missions to buy some time.

 

Have any of the other prepackaged racing "updates" come before March (SV races, Transform, Hotring)? Doesn't it have something to do with having a small release at the beginning of the first quarter? May well have pulled that last part from my behind, really just speculating here. I'm dying for those race cars though, I'd be glad to be wrong about them not coming until March.

Take 2's fiscal year ends Mar 30, so anytime b4 then I guess. That way they can squeeze out a few more sharks. Hopefully it comes in feb.

A hanging spot for car meets, would be great if we can host a meet with other players and some NPC to lighten up the parteeh, make it like a contest or anything themed like the mirror park meet, where we compete for the cleanest sleeper and some drag race around the area, the groove street meet with the sound of los santos classic rap and lowrider contest like in SA, The la mesa meet, burnout contest and drag racing muscle class, and so on, instead of this boring open wheel racer, such a waste of potential imo..

A dedicated server option menu where players can go through a list of active car meets going on at that time with scheduled ones below active ones. Car meets could have time/theme/attendance. To access menu you call Johnny on the Spot, who after retiring the valet business, has started arranging underground racing and knows any car related event going on in SA

 

also sure hope this new open-wheel race has great views of the coastlines and is surrounded by yacht parties

SV races and Hotring were actually full fledged title updates called Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit and Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series.

Yeah, must have confused them with Issi races. Point is, majority were released in March.

 

So we're basing the idea that the next actual DLC will be more open wheel stuff off of strings Fun found in the DCH files? Having trouble believing that one. Why would they package the first 2 cars and the races with the previous update? If anything I think it will be a broader car/racing themed update in the summer and more open wheel cars, races and the creator will come with it. Hopefully it's Midnight Club themed.

 

But yeah, the idea of them doing another full DLC for just open wheel racing smells a bit funny to me and Fun's record of prediction hasn't been very good lately..

Also would be cool in those servers to make it passive automatically, but not turn our characters and cars into “see through”.

Given how well both casino updates have been received and the money they are making from sharkcards, I'd suggest it makes GTA6 less urgent. They can take their time to make it, let next gen ownership increase and then release GTA6, all the time collecting revenue from GTO.
