It's a matter of personal preference. I have F1 2018 and 2019 now to play around with F1 cars with various pit strategies, tires and other stuff including team R&D. And pit stops, strategies, tires and other nice things are out of place in GTA. A lot of things that already in the game already are too.

I think you either see the glass half full or half empty. I agree with you at some extent. For example, if you ask me if i would like to have OP MK II or even MK I, i would say no...because it seems displaced in time and environment. But we have them. So, i see them as at least good ways to help the grind (and i'm seeing the positive side of them, not the negative one, that we know how it works). So...additions like F1 cars or even karts, which i'm with a feeling that will come...it  can be fun, fun just for the fun of it. xD At least, it will be for collection...xD But, even if you don't like that, be optimistic of the "next updates and more surprises in this year".

Thing is, I want GTA 6. I don't want karts, F1 cars, aliens, naval bases, tuners, smugglers and other stuff. Great ideas, but it's time to turn the page. In the time span between 2008 and 2015 IV became released, re-released, got DLCs, V got released and re-released for different platforms and Online was going on for 2 years. Between 2013 and 2020, it's still there. V is a great game, it's exceptional, state of the art game, it's unique. But it's old. And R* is greedy, as it seems. Or incompetent, or both. Because these explanations like let's wait for another generation of consoles are not cutting it for me. There's always a next generation, it's just like upgrading your PC. Some people will always say that you should wait, because something new is coming.

The thing is...you see GTA V but let's say...GTA Online, right? x) The game evolved so much from it's SP counterpart that seems like a new GTA title with only a multiplayer platform. But well, you only see this game during like almost 7 years bcz it got an unexpected adherence due the way it evolved. Of course shark cards sales being the main reason but bcz that we got 500 cars...clothing items over clothing items, properties, missions, new type of gameplays...and all that always was filling the gap that other games tend to get when they can't rejuvenate their games. Yes, a map expansion at least would be in need right now...but apart from that, the online of IV can't be compared with the V, that's why they didn't make online dlc's for it...maybe bcz IV was "only" a gta title to test the waters of HD games, while the V would become the real deal. Not to mention how bad the PC version was made, so...it would not be a good strategy to invest in a game that was quite "broken".

Yet, R* couldn't have imagined how popular the gta online of GTA V would become, that's why they maybe didn't properly thought of more stable servers and many other issues. But i'm not with you when you say that they shouldn't be waiting for the next gen consoles in order to release the game. Why? Wee know that was a marketing/financial cunning tactic that R* made when released the GTA V to old gen and new gen: "hey, let's make this game for this gen and later we will grab again the money from players while we release the same game for the next gen with new content and optimized mechanics and graphics." But where that toke us? Into GTA V next gen having issues and barriers into developing new content and mechanics due the code being stuck with old gen code molded according to that consoles gen limitations (e.g.: no animals in gta online). And i'm certain that R* would not do that today, if they knew that GTA Online would become so profitable by it's own means, but well...they couldn't guess the future.

Also i may say here two things about GTA VI. First, i can't imagine the dilemma that R* is into. At least this is the way i put myself into their shoes (or at least i expect that they are thinking in this), "will we let the players transfer all the progress in gta online for gta online 2? Or for shark cards sake, we will make the players start anew? Will they be towards that? In throwing to the trash all this 7...8...9 years of gta online with hours and hours of grinding to get a criminal empire and when not a vast vehicle fleet?!" And i think they should make a plot where for example, our characters need to flee to the next city bcz law problems with Lester's help to stablish ourselfs in the new environment...or whatever...and in a near future they would let us transfer some of our goods that are in Los Santos, like vehicles, clothes and some money, after let's say...2 or 3 years of "starting anew in the new city all the grind, all the character evolution in order to grab some shark cards sells"...hell...make it 75% of the original price of the vehicles as an "import fee"...i think there's ways to make this right...would be lame AF to lose everything...and is R* really doing 500 cars and all imaginable vehicles for gta online, which is a lot of work, to not use them in the next title?! And the second thing is: if rumours are true and it will be Vice City the next city, please...not make the game in the 80's as some people are asking...xD I know we loved gta vice city bcz the 80's vibe, but for nowadays with an online aspect of the game that do and will do a major role, i think making us to go back to the 80's would be very limitative in terms of well...everything...cars being the main issue for example, i don't think people will be happy in all they can hope at the higher way possible are super cars from the 80's. But yeah...put a radio station specialized in 80's hits, that's a most for some nostalgia that should be in Vice City!

Let people buy multiple office garages. It can't be that hard to implement. That would be 180 extra parking spaces in one fell swoop.

Listen, i don't know if someone already talked about it, but if not, i think i found something like an "easter egg" very interesting that can show that R* is teasing us with a clothing article long resquested. Remember when they gave LED Shoes to Lazlow but no LED Shoes for the players and they only came for us in one or two dlc's after? I think R* did something similar again and i'm talking about Toe Shoes.

I noticed Paige wearing one pair of them while i was watching her in the heist preparation room. I have some images here:

I can't check myself but someone from PC can take a look at her SP model and see if she had them in there, cause if she did it won't really mean much.

Also .. Mrs Baker uses a player model for her body yet the clothing items she wears are not even available for females, and that was two updates ago.

this model of paige was the one R* added with the heist update in 2015.

 

so she does have those shoes since heist update.

 

PS: her SP model does have them too

but hey, most british ppl think that all Vauxhall cars from the last years are british ... the aren´t , they are just rebadged Opels...developped and built (most of them) in Rüsselsheim , Germany ... 

the asbo was really a weird choice from R* , the MkII Corsa was more iconic , and I definitely would buy the Asbo if it was a Corsa B ...

cars like ASBO and Kanjo are rly interesting , this is a step in the right direction ,and with a possible Tuner DLC we could see some nice tuner cars that are cheap (300-400k ) ..they just need to be a bit faster...

I don't think anything in GTA is "simulated", everything is a parody of its real life equivalent. So things can be a little characature-ish.. it's what makes GTA such fun. 

 

Don't get me wrong, I'd love a straight up serious game like this, where my cars weren't fakes, but actual liscensed cars.. and with no mad people everywhere on broomsticks, but then again wouldn't it be a bit boring?  What I like about GTA is that I can still have serious moments or whole days if I want, or I can dive in with the rest of the crowd.

I may have put it out wrong, karts are not really interesting to simulate at all. They're available, affordable, easy to learn and generally available almost everywhere.

Or just remove the stupid garage space limit altogether. That's what they SHOULD do. If people want to spend money and buy every single property in the game then Rockstar should let them. Sounds like more shark card sales to me...

Lmao...so, you're saying that everything which is realistic and affordable should not be simulated in the game in order for people live that in real life?! Well...makes a lot of sense...nowadays people are simulating almost everything...hell...in short time we will be making babys through a VR sinulator... but well...somethings can be dangerous of doing in real life and doing it in the game have zero percentage of danger, like parachuting for example. And remember, you are talking to a crowd that probably the majority is like basement dweelers. (I kinda am ).

I would assume so, if we follow the website order, either V-STR or Drift Yosemite is the next vehicle, but they could always ignore the website order and release whatever they like.

The F1 cars are part of the casino podium list, so they could release the Open Wheel races, feature one of the F1 cars on the casino podium and feature the other one the week after.

January 30th - February 5th

PR4 on casino podium

February 6th - February 12th

R88 on casino podium

This makes more sense as on February 13th, we would have the Roosevelt Valor on the casino podium
