So the new JB700W looks exactly the same as JB700, even the handling is same.

Except that it has functional guns and two mines options

It costs $1,470,000 and the original JB700 cost $350,000

You have to buy a whole new car which cost $1,120,000 more for functional guns and two mines option.

The guns and new mines aren't free, you have to pay for them.

I'm starting to think Rockstar just come up with random numbers for vehicle prices.

The fact that it doesn't come with ejector seats disappoints me greatly. I will still buy it as I've always wanted a JB700 without those stupid guns. I have a nice clean, shiny spot ready for it right now.

 

Btw, is the Bunker+Arcade still being sketchy on PC? Just gotta know when I can reopen the Bunker again. It's always been a nice change-maker on the side of things.

Pretty sure any other developer would've also removed the guns on the 700 too. I also can't believe r* is charging 3 times the price of a regular jb700 for a weaponized version that isn't even weaponized.

Tbf the car it’s based on the Bond 64’ DB5 sold for 4.6 million dollars...so it’s cheap!

10 cars left to release (I think) and 8 weeks until Feb 14th. Chances of some sort of valentines event week to finish off this drip feed ?

 

Also, I was contemplating that we're unlikely to see GTA6 on next gen in 2020, but what if they made some extra content for PS5/XBSX to keep interest going next year ?

If next gen launches go well, GTA could see a drop off in player numbers as people play the new consoles & games, so some exclusive content might keep people playing at least for a little bit. Maybe a leader in to GTA6 (especially if announced next year).

If R* were cheeky they could even approach MS / Sony to part fund it as a launch update.

Just saw the trailer for No Time To Die and there was a DB5 with mini guns that popped out of the headlights. It actually hyped me up for the weaponized JB700, but now I'm disappointed after hearing they just made the guns work and added mines.

I don't know if it's fixed, but you didn't have to close bunker, you could've avoided paying fees by switching sessions every 48 minutes. That's what i've been doing since this bug, but i did risk it yesterday playing more than 48 minutes in session and i payed standard 9400 fee for bunker. So i don't really know if it's definitely fixed, so i would not risk it yet, but i read here that someone confirmed that he/she got normal fee for bunker, but don't take that as confirmation that bug is squashed yet.

Basically I'll have to pay 1,4m in order to own a clean JB700. GG C*.

 

Selling my current stupid JB700 will fund the non visual upgrades for the new one, at least.

From what I know, Rockstar hold a meeting near the end of their fiscal year, somewhere during February or March, to discuss GTA Online roadmap and future.

The developers aren't going to sit and wait for the meeting to happen to see if they have to develop more updates or not, so next GTAO update is pretty much guaranteed.

It will only get interesting after the next update, that's when I would expect them to talk about GTAO future and if they are planning to stop supporting it anytime soon, or they could announce their next title and claim GTAO support is ending soon.

Fun, waaay back when it started they did say that they wanted it to be an "ever evolving world" and the thinking at the time was that GTAO may carry on and be expanded with the map or whatever from the new game. Whats your thought on that?

 

I'm kind of thinking that its grown in to a bit of a beast nowadays and its a bit too disorganised - we've got businesses, Motorcycle club, facilities, bunkers, hangars, nightclubs, arcades and a handful of apartments.. I can't help but think they will want to tidy that up. Not to mention the various glitches and car dupes etc.that they will want to clear up.

I can see us keeping our characters and maybe even some money (lets say 10m or something) and convert the account to GTA6 Online in a similar way to platform transfers were done (i.e. GTA5 online will still work any any progress you make stays on that version).

 

Feb/March sounds about right for and April-April financial year, they probably have Q1 money agreed at least and are planning the second half of the year. Would not be surprised to see a GTA6 announcement next year for a 2021 release. the next gen update idea I mentioned could be GTA5 swansong

The original guns.

Basicly all they did was very simple.

They opened the jb700 model file in max, removed the guns and put a few polygons over the holes.

And then make the "removed" guns a tuning option

 

(You can even see how they put polygons over the hole ingame bc you can see the outline.)

 

 

Actually i did a mod like a year ago that adds a tuning option to the jb700 to remove the guns in the LSC.

Which is absolutely disgustingly lazy if you ask me. The Comet Safari also has the option for the same model of machine guns, yet its fenders are completely smooth with no polygons or outlines to be seen from where the guns should be.

you can´t compare it to the comet safari.

the comet safari just places the guns on top.

while the jb700 had to fill holes that were there from the start.

and make the guns a tuning option.

 

but it´s still lazy.

they could have fixed that by cuting a larger piece of the metal out and then fill it and make that bigger piece the "misc" instead of just filling the holes,
