nope.

everything since GTA 4 is the HD universe.

so GTA 1-2 are the 2D universe.

GTA 3-vcs are the 3D

and GTA 4-RDR2 are the HD universe.

and every game after RDR2 will be HD universe until R* switches to something like a UHD universe.

 

but currently we are still in the HD universe

Can’t own handguns here, at least not cartridge ones. Can blame Martin Bryant and Allen Xiang for that, the cuntface bastards. You can theoretically own percussion cap revolvers and muzzleloaded flintlock pistols, but in practice are nigh on impossible to get anyway. I’d love to have an FN five seven.

Yeah, i dont know why all this talking about a gun, lets be real, if you dont want to be fuc*ed (by either npc or players) you dont use a pistol, pistols only purpose is for pvp jobs locked+pickups.

I think i never used one in freemode or in pve jobs.

Maybe just to kill some civilians and laugh.

A new one would be...pretty useless

3D Universe is GTAIII to San Andreas, when the games made the jump from top down to 3D. This includes the Liberty City stories as well. The HD Universe starts with GTA IV and includes GTA VI, its DLC's , GTA V and GTA Online.

 

Brucie, Johnny and Tony being from GTA IV's DLCS are part of the HD Universe and have a place in GTA Online. Basically in the HD Universe the 3D Universe never happened which is why the Ballas still own Grove Street.

I mean... I probably use the AP as much if not more than any other gun in the game (driveby) but I doubt any pistol they add will take its place so yeah.

I wonder if R* puts the Christmas DLC along with this one for the dripfeed to release the content on Christmas. Would be cool to see the dripfeed 2 weeks in advance.

There were times they didn't and it was a separate download.

i wonder how the new heists will work for those that haven't completed the original missions from the first casino DLC. since it's really relevant to the story we are going to have in the casino heists. 

why would you get revenge on the Dugins if you haven't done the missions where they actually buy the casino?

 

Maybe the heists can't be played until these missions are completed?

This may be the case. People had the chance to complete the missions. If anything, those missions may be made x2 in case those that haven't completed them have a bit of incentive to and then proceed to bigger things... a la casino heist.

You know, that's actually a sound thought. Newcomers are in for extra long preparation process.

Otherwise, it would be people jumping in sideways. Germans do even have a "Quereinstieg" word for that.

I’m stuck on bad beat as I can only play them with randoms really and can rarely chat as it’s always late here and wife and daughter are sleeping.

 

All the others I managed with randoms...strong arm tactics was a challenge and I had to do it in easy but the others I did first time.

 

Bad beat everyone dies instantly.

 

im guessing everyone needs to take cover in the bar and shoot from there?

Video games are awesome, but do not meet the standard for philosophical labels.

Yep I will never understand why people keeps insisting those rules are set in stone... Its something that was said once in an interview and that's it. R* can and will cherry pick what they want whenever they want from both universe if they want to. The only reason they even created this rule in the first place is so they don't have to keep caring about continuity errors. Why would they want to tie their own hands with a huuuge bible of past events? That would just limit their creative vision for no reason at all. Same goes for that imaginary rule created by the community that "they can't use X cause he's from 3D universe"... I'm calling bullsh*t on that part! They would never limit themselves with a stupid rule like that. 

Just because they are different universes doesn't mean they can't share events and characters. 99.99% of things might be exactly the same in both timelines and that's fine. That's what having a parallel universes means... 

And the best proof of that is that we already had characters (for example Cris Formage), DJs (Lazlow), bands (Love Fist), rappers (Mad Dogg, OG Loc), companies, weapons and vehicles that appeared both in 3D universe and HD universe (some of them are even from the 2d universe as well). So its safe to assume that both universes are very, VERY similar, with only slight differences.

You can even pick Claude from gta 3 or John from RDR as your father when you create your gtaonline character (if you want to assume that gtao is even canon. But Its not in my book).

tl;dr - just because those are two universes doesn't mean they can't share the same characters. Just because someone appeared in 3D universe doesn't mean he can't exist in HD universe.

This is why i was so confused about the whole HD/3D/2D debate. It's a video game, ofcourse anything can happen. There are no written rules where X character cannot be in X because of X.

Imagine comparing the philosophy that the world is tearing itself apart because it just does to some arbitrary rules for a fictional product, lol.

 

Just assume characters  GTA IV and onward are probable to appear but anything before that is slim to none, lol. It’s really not that complicated. The people who get it confused are doing that to themselves.
