Next DLC Speculation Topic Mk VIII

The fact that the qabeta was updated yesterday/today makes me think that it won't be out next week, unless its just the PC launcher thing?

 

Tuesday release means the DLC comes in the middle of an event week, I don't see why that isn't possible as they won't be related - the event week can cotinue even if a DLC came out.

 

If the qabeta was for console builds it could mean a week of the 16th release to give time for the networks to approve/distribute.That would allow them to run the event week to next week, then either run a short one to the 17th or just not bother at all.

I can't remember what they've done with event weeks around previous releases - can anyone remember?

it's the holiday season, kids have money to burn, Dec updates are always the biggest, even if last year's was a bit of a flop it was still big content-wise

maybe, but even then, those trucks are well armored, that would be the most OP thing in the game aside from the orbital cannon

People need to stop making assumptions based on Quabeta. Quabeta was relevant 1 year ago, but they have changed a lot of stuff. They switch branches all the time so it's not a valid indication.

you can't say they're the same though, a player using the MkII can be killed, someone using the RC can't, they aren't the same thing, while I think the MkII needs a nerf (not the time or place for that discussion) I don't think it's fair to say a weaponized RC where the player is invulnerable is the same thing as a MkII

That's why I only kill opMKII tryhards with my Bandito.  It's delightful

That’s what I’m hoping for. Even though I was a little bit off with comparing the release date for the Arena Wars DLC to the release date that I’m currently speculating for the Casino Heist update which I think there’s an 80% chance that the update will drop on the 17th, because one, we’ve never gotten an update past Christmas and two, I think it’s more likely than the 10th due to the way how Rockstar has been teasing the updates for GTA Online throughout this year. If it wasn’t for that, December 10th would have been the likely release window for the update with an announcement this week instead of a teaser because of the way how they released last year’s DLC.

 

Two weeks is definitely much more tolerable than that almost two month wait we had before the Casino update dropped.

Usually they are griefing around in a small area killing the same people over and over so I wait until they get low enough and explode the RC truck.  It works if you are patient.  The drone is another fun tool to use to annoy them until they fly off to another part of the map

totally forgot you could put explosives on the Bandito, ok, well a Wheelson would still be OP, the RC can only explode once then needs to be called in again

Agree having a remote controlled tank would become a very used griefing tool.

I expected griefers would use the RC Bandito more when it was released... but griefers wouldn't be griefers if they didn't try to kill as many people as quickly as possible and the Bandito does not lend itself to that at all.

 

By the way, very funny is also to get a person who always drops a sticky bomb to blow themselves up -- you can zip by with the Bandito, place a kinetic mine and it will blow up the sticky bomb giving you the kill.

Best counter to the Oppressor Mk II in my opinion would be a homing launcher Mk II that has Ruiner missile tracking but only a kinetic warhead -- meaning it would hardly do any damage to vehicles/aircraft but knock people off of a motorcycle/Oppressor.

that actually sounds like a great idea, also I kinda want the handheld AA that's in BFV, it's ballistic based instead of explosive so that would be useful against MkII's and less armored aircraft

As great as this sounds.... I feel like Rockstar could very well add another vehicle that "does more bad" than the Mk ll. So, if that is the case, fingers crossed it is limited to the ground at least, like a tank. Killings will happen less out of nowhere..
