Not sure if anyone has brought this up, but it would be really nice if we had some emotes for drag racing and car meets. Wouldn’t be too much work to make your character raise their arms all the way up and throw them down at the same time to send off racers. Probably a bit far fetched, but a leaning or sitting emote would be neat too.

That’s a great point that I completely overlooked. Could definitely see that happening for the cops and crooks update!

Exactly my sentiments, because at this point the game is too blurred, there's a lot of things to do and a lot of vehicle but very little depth. 90% of game modes are dead unless it's you who brings friends to play them, most of the vehicles are redundant thanks to dominant Opressor Mk 2, guns are mostly cosmetic and the only new thing we've seen in terms of game mechanics is the casino. The engine is too old and too imperfect to make sense out of all these new cars.

I agree. Not necessarily even new music linked to a DLC, maybe just a radio station refresh. Summer 2020 is too far away for DLC publicity right now.

 

It can't be GTA6; next gen consoles won't be out until the end of 2020. R* would be even more insane than usual if they released it before then.

 

And no way can it be RDR2!

Hopefully GTA 6 online will be better. The current GTA Online is just too outdated. Fortunately Red Dead Online seems to be built more with longevity in mind. GTA Online actually has too much content but it’s inconsistent and a lot of it is redundant. While Red Dead Online is nowhere near the Story experience it does have things like random events and roles, so hopefully GTA 6 online will have more story-like elements than just a bunch of random modes.

Like, most things in the game, from vehicle/weapon attributes to payouts and everything in between are basically either boolean values (true/false) or numeric values (0.6913420666911) that could easily be edited with a text editor or something.

 

Hell, someone literally modded in a better physics engine on PS3, and that's something that is harder to do than say, change the rate of fire of a weapon:

 

 

If some modders can change the game so easily (as the vast ammount of mods can attest to), I bet that a multimillon game company with (probably) some of the best coders in the planet can, should and honestly have to.

 

Those “better” physics are borderline Looney Tunes and just make the game feel unrealistic. I can see why people would say they’re fun but saying GTA 4 has more realistic physics is absurd. People don’t fly around like they’re having a seizure when they get shot. GTA 5 did at times feel too weighty but Red Dead Redemption 2 manages to feel realistic while still showing pain. But people just flying around everywhere is almost cartoonish.

Just like real life modern cars--they are all milquetoast jellybean transformers with 2 pedals.  No soul.  Which is why I hope beyond hope we get away from the 'everything has been perfected' world into something more gritty and different next time 'round [and without the flying bikes]

Gta 5 was released just before the PS4 was released. Still made a sh*t load of money either way. Gta just has that pull.

Im gonna go out on a huge, unstable limb n say the summer 2020 is gonna be Gta6. It'll come out for current gen first, then get remastered for next gen n pc in 2021. Were already past the usual 5 year window for another gta. Next summer\fall will be about 7 yrs. Plus R* loves viral marketing. Using an obscure band to start the frenzy is just their style. They said the map team starts working on gta next before the release of the current one. So they've had plenty of time to finish it. I just hope its back to single protag again with advanced customization like san andreas. I wanna pump him up like cj.

Honestly?  I'd love to see a nonlethal Vigilante MkII.  Base it on the Nolanverse Batmobile, give it Insurgent-level explosive resistance and kinetic missiles (works like kinetic mines) with Ruiner 2k tracking.  Its sole purpose would be to boop Oppressor MkIIs out of the sky without dealing with the EWO then Bad Sport + $10k ding cycle that regular missiles give.

Do you realize that anything that gets added to the game as a counter for the Mk II will most likely end up replacing it instead?

 

We don't need a counter for the Mk II, we need the Mk II nerfed so it can be countered by more things already in the game.

Lol no way they are releasing GTA6 in summer 2020. They woukd have released  teaser trailer by now then to start the hype.

 

Also they just released RDR2 for PC so I think they wanna focus people's attention first on Red Dead Online before they blow peoples mind with a GTA6 announcement.

Quite, hence the bolding of “nonlethal”. Though I have no delusions and know that Rockstar would never add a viable counter without making it the new OpMkII, but it’s fun to think about. And yes, at bare minimum the OpMkII’s missiles need to be nerfed to Buzzard tracking, but I doubt they’d do even that.

Somehow I think they are saving this for the next rendition which (should have) a bigger map for longer distances. If we had got it two years ago it would have been fine, but now, nah.

I'd have loved a trucker DLC/business and use my nightclub as one sort of too as I haven't made my delivery trucks look all ready for war.

 

But with how spicy it is out there now, I'm in no hurry to run more public pap. Though if the methods to go solo remain, that'll do, lol.

 

The only thing I'm really hoping on next update is more nice cars, good garage spaces and to be able to buy a Lost Van would be nice.

That was the other theory in my mind. Another radio that doesn't have anything to do with the update but adds more music.

 

I don't think Chanel from Frank Ocean had a lot to do with a possible WW3 by Clifford so it could be the same situation here.
