I do think we will gamble our GTA$ and there will be no alternative currency. 

 

I think they will potentially separate Shark Card money from regular money (finally making an actual use out of money "in your pocket/in the bank").

 

OR, I have been thinking that they may be able to side skirt gambling laws because of all the free cash they are always giving us. Think about it. Let's say a player says they lost 1.2 million dollars of shark card money at the Casino. Well Rockstar can counter and say they have given the player 4 million dollars in free money over time, previously, so they in fact, haven't lost anything they have purchased with real world money.

 

Idk sounds good in my head.

When I woke up today somebody this morning posted in the Facebook GTA online group, a fan-made concept trailer. The thumbnail looks really great, didn't watch the video though. Needless to say in the span of two seconds going from excited to disappointed was something else. Thought they had dropped the trailer this morning #sadface

1. I am pretty sure no other company spends more cash for the ingame music thand Rockstar.

2. I am pretty sure Elvis, Motorhead or Pantera would not cost more than the songs which are already in the game. Maybe some liscenses are harder to get. Maybe some really crazy high prices (some artists really want some millions just for a song on a compilation). But we got in GTA games some really popular songs, for example:
Rage against the maschine - killing in the name of (san andreas)

Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus (san andreas)

Danzig - Mother (san andreas)

Slayer - Raining Blood (probably most popular song by Slayer)

Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pool (very popular)

Miles Davis - Move

Electric Orchestra - Easy Living

Queen - One Vision

ACDC - Touch too much

Bob Marley - Concrete Jungle

Queen - Radio Ga Ga (GTA V)

 

I do not think it`s the money or the popularity that counts, when Rockstar chooses their songs for the radio stations. I guess they could just buy some of the most popular Rock, Metal, Hip Hop, Pop etc songs for the soundtrack if they wanted to, maybe not all of the top 10 but enough of the top 100. I think it depends how they think it would fit in the game. But also a big point is probably the ability to hear songs more often before they get boring. If I would hear on the hip hop station only the top 20 songs of all time, it would become faster boring for me. It`s like doing a mixtape... its more interesting with songs which you have not heard already a million times. Its great if you know some and you can discover other ones, which might become one of your favorite songs after listening more often to them.

Its the "principle".  R* can afford to pay them whatever they're asking no problem, but that only makes things worse. What stops music companies* from charging double or triple the next time? Or even go as far as demanding a percentage of the game's overall profits?

But we got in GTA games some really popular songs, for example:

Yes of course they spend a lot of money on music, for the base game. They don't however, for GTAO updates. 

 

A good initial soundtrack can help drive game sales. Adding new popular music in a GTAO update isn't going to make them money. Shark Cards do.

They already do that. There's a limit to how much Shark Card money you can have at any given moment (I believe its 8 millions) & the game doesn't allow you to redeem more Shark Cards until you spend the SC money you already have.

 

They can use the same system to prevent people from gambling with SC money.

 

For example, say I have 2 million Dollars, but $1.25 millions of that is from a Shark Card, they can restrict my gambling money to the remaining $750k.

And it's intentionl by R*.

Bc they put collisions at the doors that only block vehicles.

Saw it when i looked at the building collision a while back

Kenny Login`s Dangerzone and later "swimming pool" by kendrick lamar?
Also the After Hours Djs are pretty popular in the nightclubs scene. - Sure they could have added mainstream popular Djs like David Guetta, but that would not fit to the theme. I guess they wanted that hip berlin club feelings. Dixon for example is know in every good techno club in germany for decades.

Dixon is worldwide know in the club-scene. Dangerzone and Swimming Pool were part of the current gen base versions of the game, like I said, to sell copies of the game. They weren't part of a GTAO update.

 

The Nightclub DJs aren't even close to what would be considered mainstream popular music. At least for a game set in the United States.

my fault... but it was nice they used it in the mission from the heist where you fly the jets

 

I just like their choices of music very much. And I do not think they choose the songs even not by update on how cheap they are. I think it`s their kind of sounddesign and it works perfect for me. (sure i dont like it all the songs or stations)
