I believe R*’s market strategy was...

Since leaks aren’t allowed anymore

R* updated props for the forum guys because it would be detected instantly by people like fun, which would substitute for our usual leaks, then the spoon fed us minor details with the news wire, again in place of our leaks then started the mass promotion for casuals through the ads to finally release a trailer with hype built from both sides, which attracts the biggest base, more profit and activity on the game

I may be way too optimistic but I actually don’t see the casino games being drip feed stuff.

They aren't going to do it because it's a poor financial investment. Nobody is going to buy a shark card because they add a popular song to the radio. There is a reason they have made such a profit off this game, and it's partially because they don't invest where it isn't needed, like expensive music.

I mean, if they don't put in the table the objective of "give content just for make players happy without any aspirations of profit from it (like popular music)" yeah, they will not do it, bussiness wise...but, for a player-base who made them the owners of the game that became the most lucrative enternainment product of all time making billions of dolars for them, morally speaking, they should give us some gifts without expecting profit from it, bcz, that's what the word says: "gifts".

Oh yeah of course, I was just saying they could if they wanted to. I highly doubt it however, I am sure there will be a blue corona.

Of course there's going to be, because it will require more effort and will use more resources. The game is in bad enough state not to push it further, especially because there aren't much benefits of this decision.

No offence, but they're not a charity and I (I suspect that you too actually) would rather have GTA VI as this gesture or a QoL update in the short-term perspective.

Let’s just forget about things like guest list, event weeks, stimulus packages etc etc.

That and if you could enter the Casino by simply walking through the doors... has anyone been near Vanilla Unicorn with other random players? If not, try it and see how long it takes for the VU to get shut down.

They can just make it that the casino can't be shut down.

Make the NPCs ignore every player action so that they don't get scared, put a collision at the door that blocks vehicles and bullets, don't the player draw his weapon.

DONE.

It shouldn't be too difficult so make it

Hum...not really that much...bcz i fear that our characters progress will not be able to be transfered from GTA Online 1 to GTA Online 2. Which is f*cked up. xP Also, my pc isn't the best for gta v, performance wise, so, personally, i don't mind to wait more 2 or 3 years for GTA VI, maybe then i have a better pc. :)

I'm sure you didn't expect them to drip feed the DJs with AH either.

The only way I can see them doing this is if they were to keep some parts of the casino "under construction" and then to drip feed each section with new games every week

Well, I'm pretty sure we won't see VI earlier than 2-3 years from now anyway and considering how good V was optimized, you won't need a beast PC to get the most out of the game. Single player is more than okay, it's Online that lags. Chances are, VI will run better. Anyway, if your PC is not the best now, quality of life update will definitely get you more joy than some song in the trailer.

How much you personally care about it doesn't change the fact that they drip fed the main part of the update lmao.

The casino games are this update's version of the DJs. I can absolutely see them being drip fed.

You can’t compare the two necessarily. It’s no guarantee they will he Drip feed this time.

How can't I?

The main aspect of a nightclub is the music.

The main aspect of a casino is the games.

One was drip fed, and it's just as likely the other will be too.

There is a huge difference between the DJs and the casino games.

Casino games suck players bank accounts dry, and assuming there is no overhead cost (a property to buy to "unlock" the games) for the player, it's basically an easy way to drive up potential shark card sales, by lowering overall bank account balances consistently over time. So they are gonna include as many of those games as they can from day 1 in my opinion.

The DJs on the other hand we're never meant to drive Shark Card sales, they just lacked buyable content for that update so they needed a way to boost player counts each week following the update, more players equals more potential shark card purchasers. Unfortunately there wasn't much to buy in the following weeks and I bet that their shark card revenue took a hit because of it, compared to updates that included more vehicles at least.

That's my take on it.

Think about how boring the casino would be on day one if there’s only 1 or 2 games? I have a feeling they won’t do that. But hey it’s Rockstar so you never know.

I honestly couldn't care what kind of music they'd add at this point. 1. They're so f*cking cheap they remove a good portion of what they added 10 years in because they don't want to renew the rights even though they very well could without making a dent in their ludicrously high profits. 2. They haven't exactly added anything good lately. It is mostly lame, less popular tracks that don't wow or immerse me. Hell they added so much music in After Hours and... not one of those songs do I look forward to playing.

Honestly, if I want a casino vibe imma turn on spotify in the background while I gamble.

I can picture myself playing the actual casino games for less than an hour, and focusing almost solely on potential garage additions and the potential business itself.

This was EXACTLY my thinking as to why I don’t think the games will be dripfeed.

but was overhyped by us, not by R* tho, same with this one.

R* have made just a few mentions of the casino, vague at best, its not R* fault if people build up a hype and get disappointed when the update is not exactly what they believed it will be.

They made a teaser for that update, last time an update had a teaser it was the Heists, I call that overhype.

That's if we will be able to gamble with our GTA$ balance of course. I personally don't think that R* will go RDR Online way, but who knows, but if you put it that way and there's no substitute 'currency', then chances of dripfeeding are actually lower and that's great news for some.

Damn, we're back at actually speculating.
