I suppose you're right, but the difference now is that it feels amplified because the last DLC was out 8 months ago and most of us were expecting the next one to drop around March time.

Tensions are running high. I imagine we'd usually let this drought go before.

No way lol. The majority of people on here never let any droughts go. Most of these people don’t even like drip feed! Personally, I love drip feed since it keeps the game fresh.

Yeah I don’t know.  RS confirmed it then released another post with some details.  For all we know, there are bug issues with some of the planned features that they are trying to be fixed and it could cause them to have to eliminate some things.  For a dev like this, last thing you want to do is promise a feature that has to be removed because it was causing bugs.  The other thing I would point out is that this is basically how they have operated for most of the six years now, people should be over it by now (lack of full disclosure).

No matter what, I feel like we shouldn't let R* think getting little to no news updates is acceptable. I know they can do whatever they want, but when is it ever good to keep players in the dark like that? I know they got f*cked up with heists, but at this point you'd think they learned from the past and so they can do better when announcing new content. Even if anything is delayed, I would at least like to know that rather than trying to guess what's going on all the time.

I remember how it was 10 years back when R* were getting ready to drop TBoGT.

 

Watching the same trailer for 3 weeks till the next one released with hardly any info dumps was the worst.

 

R* have always been silent, this really isn't anything new.

Can I ask why some people seem to have a problem with people being hyped and wanting more information and are tired of the radio silence since they last talked about it? Maybe people feel they started teasing a little to early with the props? Maybe just make a small coming later this summer and started the teasing closer to release

 

Would it really hurt to give some screenshots, maybe say something about some vehicles, etc.. Rhetorical question btw

At least with a trailer, you have something to look at. All we have right now is the f*cking logo.

 

And you can't compare a story expansion, with hours of new dialogue, cutscenes, characters and stuff like that to an Online DLC.

No one said there is a problem with your position on the lack of information.  This is a discussion board, and you should reasonably assume when you put something out there you will get a response, sometimes with a position that differs from your own.  Can I ask, why are you surprised that people have responded and that they have a different position than yours?

LOL. I certainly would not feel that way... Just me. Back when they did used to drop everything at once, I enjoyed it all for quite a bit. It was a fun experience. Vs this dripfeed method where I get bored until everything is out but by then it feels like I've seen it all... youtube videos of the unreleased content, a sh*t ton of pics of the cars from those on PC. Like... it's not fresh. I'll never understand how a ton of content can get old to someone within a short period of time but to each their own

I think it is less rude to ask a question than suggest how you or anyone else should feel.  Asking a question is meant to keep dialogue going, that is all. I really don’t understand why people are so upset.  You have paid nothing for this, weren’t promised anything, and this company has never given the player base a lot of information.  I understand it is frustrating, but I see no reason to get angry.

To sum it up, I feel like this: RS said: 3 2 1 .. and then nothing happened. They build hype. And then they killed it.

Am I angry ? No. It's free, they are not obliged to do anything.

But disappointed ? Definitely.

Basically we've been trolled with the props.

Also it's actually not that different from before. But the lack of information by RS used to be filled in by leakers. And that's what's different this time.

Some people are angry because they're going the wrong way about digesting the frustration.

Why people are frustrated? Because Rockstar were brutally ignorant with how they chose to announce the update.

"Later this summer", when announced in June, is a sure way to feed frustration over lack of information with every passing week after a period of one month, especially when the word "SOON" Is casually thrown in the mix.

If they had made it a bit clearer that it's not going to be as "SOON" as the mob mentality is likely to interpret things, I'm sure people would be much less agitated.

They could have worded it better, like "In a couple months" or at least not used.. Friggin' "soon"...

But Since they did it the way they did, the least they could have done is thrown some minor info or a couple of screenshots to calm the spirits. Instead we have to rely on sh*tposting to keep our sanity intact.

It is only human for people to be impatient. I mean, that's really the only explanation. It's just gonna happen. It's basic curiosity and excitement. I see nothing wrong with it unless it gets way out of hand, which it hasn't if you ask me. It's a good question I get but a simple answer. Better than some people who get on their high horses (not you) and act better than everyone for being impatient.

So you want people to answer your questions but you don't want to answer the ones you've been asked? 

Several people are complain about people being impatient, don't understand it, yada yada yada and generally seem to have a problem with that, I wonder why that is such a bad thing but I guess some people are a little to high on their pedestal to feel it's any point in answering that

QA Beta (sorry @White Shark) hasn't been used to determine when an update will release since QABeta 3 came into the picture (I think?). As Fun has stated many times, the only way now to determine the release using QABeta is by seeing if they update it without changing the file size. He also said that by the time that happens we will most likely have gotten a release date from Rockstar already so it's still pretty useless

And thats the saddest thing of most of the dlc they made so far. It's only fun for like a day or 2 and you have to rely on dripfeed cars to keep it interesting. I seriously hope R* will learn from this and come up with better dlc for gta6 that lasts longer then a day

Because they teased an update 4 weeks ago, told people to stay tuned for more infos, then two GTAO's newswire later, still no infos. R*: "Infos? What infos? They didn't say that, because they never say anything, but that's basically what it means. I'm not angry, but people on here and on other forums are losing their minds. One simple post on twitter about the update, one image of a new car, anything really and they'd put some more diesel in the hype train. Right now, their hype train is running on fumes and about to suck the bad stuff at the bottom of the tank.

The security guards aren't a fresh addition to the racetrack frontage. I won't comment on the other NPCs as I never really paid attention to their placement before the casino area became a hunting ground of recent weeks! 

 

Well noticed though. I reckon the heroic Fun would have informed us at the time of the construction prop appearances whether there had been any changes in the pathing / spawn mechanics around that location. They'll likely be tweaked (as were the Nightclubs) when the DLC is released properly, along with vehicle paths etc. as necessary.
