Well, once Rockstar sends the update to Sony or Microsoft, it takes 2 weeks for the verification. These are pure facts, and all of the other updates are released 1/2 weeks after the Sony/MS verification. This pattern was present from the very beginning, and still stands today. However. we have no way in telling anymore when this happens, because Qabeta branches are not valid indicators anymore. When Quabeta stopped updating for 2 weeks straight a couple of years back, that meant the update was right arround the corner. Ofcourse it's not only Sony and MS that does this, there are multiple aspects at play here.

I'll go through this one more time. 

Spider confirmed Mas' identity and the leak itself, but before that even happened him and others were dropping hints of a casino update, I'm not talking about 2014 speculation, after Mas posted and his identity was confirmed those hints were quoted all together by another user, that is when I started paying attention to Spider.  since then he has suggested, more than once, that we would be surprised by the date, that it would be a Tuesday, and finally that it would be the 2nd.  he also said not to expect heists, that could be speculation but taking the rest into account I believe Spider knows more than the rest, even Fun.

The cars leak between 12 and 3am launch day. And I usually dont get up til 7 or 8 regardless of how hyped I am. Central time

I have a build-in natural hype alarm clock. I wake up once the first vehicle gets leaked by Wildbrick or Foxy. It's instinct.

Anyone get to experience the modded captre fun made the day before the high life update? Modded Niko in and we got 75k after 10-15 minutes and in early 2014 that was alot. Things were simpler then

is this referring to Fun and his tweet?  he is just a data miner, even if he has/had access to their test servers that wouldn't give him the release date

There's loads of people who have voiced valid reasons for why they believe the release date will be otherwise.

As far as I am aware, these lobbies never worked, and people abused them to make a bunch of cage deathmatches to push their K/D.

The host could basically kill everyone.

All I'm saying is that with every leak, don't take it as 'fact'. For all any of us know, they could just be on a string of lucky guesses. But who knows? He is credible, I'll give you that, in the same way Mach is for example; as are many others. So take leaks with a pinch of salt and all that...
