2014 - ? (this was a bad year for my taste in games aside from the remasters of GTA V & The Last of Us)

2015 - Metal Gear Solid V (currently playing the witcher 3 so this might change)

2017: Horizon Zero Dawn
2018: Red Dead Redemption 2

2019: Resident Evil 2 Remake

Aargh, this is tough - not least because I played so many of these years later. Technically, Halo: Reach should be my 2010 GotY, because I didn't really get into Mass Effect 2 properly until a year later - but on balance, and as much as I think Reach is arguably the best game in the series, I got even more out of ME2.

(also, wow, did I play a lot of licensed stuff back in the day - probably helped that so many of LucasArts' Star Wars titles were really, really good!)
