Epilogue invisible length 2 natural facial hair.

A couple of months ago I submitted a ticket to Rockstar support about this and they said they understood the issue and will forward it to the developers but nothing has been done yet so I thought I'd share this with you as well.

I think we've all noticed that John's length 2 natural facial hair is almost completely identical to his length 1. It's pretty much invisible except for a few dots of hair here and there, as you can see here...

vSUoK6N.jpg

And here is what it looks like during gameplay, basically identical except for a few dots of hair scattered here and there.

R2FYP1E.jpg

When you compare that to Arthur's Length 1 and 2, you'll see that there is a vast difference between the two lengths.

9MwRXm3.jpg

At first I thought this might have been a design choice but then I was playing as Arthur recently with his length 2 facial hair, I died and when I respawned Arthur's beard glitched to look just like John's length 2 beard, invisible except for a few dots of hair scattered around, pretty much identical to his length 1.

mx0vaZq.jpg

I figured if it was a glitch for Arthur it's probably a glitch for John as well. I was able to make it go back to normal by just sitting Arthur down in a barbers chair but the same fix doesn't work for John.

This only applies to the natural style facial hair as John's pencil mustache length 2, double forked length 2 and dundreary sideburns length 2 all look very visible.

To clear up any confusion, I'm talking about length 2 in the trim menu at the barbers and at shaving mirrors. When you select the individual styles from the style menu at the barbers it's length 1.

It's a shame because Arthur's length 2 looks the most like John's facial hair from the first game. John's level 3 looks much too thick.

As I said I already told Rockstar support about this a couple of months ago but I wanted to share it with you here in case any of you were bothered by this and wanted submit your own tickets.

While you have valid points I'm afraid this is beating a dead horse. There was a whole thread about the epilogue hair stuff that was over 170 pages. That thread is no longer on the site and I believe this could be removed as well. The fact is Rockstar is done with the single player and have fully moved into online. So you shouldn't expect any fixes in this dapartment, this isn't me being negative or hating on Rockstar. It is simply just a fact, Benjamin Byron Davis (Dutch) & Rogar Clark (Arthur) were at something called Momo Con and there is an hour long video on youtube, it's a good watch so I'd reccomend it but they were asked by a fan about any futher Story DLC and they responded with they haven't been asked to do anything but they plugged online and the addition of Sadie into it.

I bring this up because I think this very much shows single player is in the rearview mirror when it comes to Rockstar. Me though, I am still playing it today. Doing my 4th playthrough and this is the 100% one, a true 100%, full compendium and everything.

It was deleted because the high iq users in there decided to f*cking troll a rockstar stream because they couldn't get their hairstyle.

The only thing that's going to get this thread locked is users trying to turn it into thread for talking about the other thread being locked/deleted. This is a user reporting a glitch and nothing more, it's fine.

Yeah I wasn't trying to get people to start brigading streams or anything. Just reporting a bug. I considered posting it in the troubleshooting page but that didn't seem right because I know there is no in game fix for it. I've just seen people here complain about this issue before and I already had the pictures made from when I submitted a ticket months ago so I thought I might as well post them here and let everyone know that it might be a bug and not a bad design choice.

Rockstar do not give a sh*t about feedback for singleplayer of even online, i doubt they will fix it just like they never fixed the hair or many bugs still being reported for singleplayer and even gta online and red dead online

Rockstar have fixed and added tons of stuff in GTAO and RDO due to player feedback. The driving changes from IV to V were a direct result of player feedback. The idea that they don't listen at all to feedback is a myth.

They are, however, very stubborn about certain things.

Sorry, but Rockstar don't give a damn about singleplayer anymore.

Literally the most recent RDO update has a bunch of changes/additions from community feedback lol. GTA V being centred around heists was a direct result of fan feedback because the heist missions in previous GTA's were fan favourite missions. They have a long history of listening to player feedback, just like any other developer out there. They are stubborn on certain things though, particularly when it comes to their game design but they have done lots of stuff to improve the quality of life in games as a direct result of player feedback. I'm not saying they're amazing at listening to players, but the idea that they literally do not listen at all is a myth.

As for their support for single player post launch I do definitely agree that is lacking (by this I mean patches/fixes/tweaks, not DLC), but for GTAO and RDO they've been okaaaaaaaaaaaay when it comes to listening to players. One problem they have though is that they go months between patches rather than constantly patching on a regular basis, which I don't think is a great way to go about supporting an online mode in 2019.

Of course they don't listen at all, but they don't care. They ''steal'' ideas from the community.

And I could't give less of a sh*t about any online stuff they release. They sh*t on any credibility they had with GTA:O.

If any other developer takes ideas from the community it's highly appreciated, if Rockstar take ideas from the community it's stealing. 😂

So basically you're dismissing the evidence because you don't care about GTAO. Okiedokes lol

Where did I write anything about other developers?

And yes, I dismiss the evidence because Rockstar only do things for their online modes to make as much money as possible, not for the good of the game or the players. And it's fine. But the fact that they completely don't give a f*ck about the single player part of their games makes me angry and because that I will wait to buy the next GTA and only played RDR2 on my brothers copy. And I've bought every GTA since GTA 2 on release day.

You didn't, I was merely laughing at the idea that it's stealing when developers taking ideas from players and implementing in the game is something that is highly appreciated by players.

So the stuff they add because of player feedback they add for their own personal amusement then I'm guessing?

RDR2 is like 95% single player. Online was basically pieced together with random SP content and then some clothes on top. Sure, they dropped SP DLC for V but RDR2 is a giant single player experience. So I'm not so sure how much I buy into the theory that they don't care about single player. Unless you of course mean "they don't care about single player DLC", which is another discussion entirely.

If they cared about single player post-release they would have done something about the Marston hair thing instead of saying 3-4 months after the fact that it is a design choice. Everything they do post-release is just an excuse to make money off of the online modes.

I've read many great ideas that has not been implemented. Seems to me they only take the ideas they can earn money from.

I can't disagree with the idea that they don't support their SP's well enough post-launch when it comes to fixes and stuff, they do a few patches and then call it a day there which is ehhhhhhhh,

They can only add so much to the game, they can't take every idea and add it into the game. Many community ideas sound cool but are riddled with potential problems as well. As for earning money, I mean, the main cash sink in every update is the vehicles and/or customising your new businesses interior. That's not a really limiting factor on ideas they can and can't do, it just ties into what I said before about them only being able to do so many ideas at a time.

Post-launch yes, like I said above they can definitely be better there. They do definitely take feedback into account when making brand new SP games though. It's for that reason that I fully expect them to do something about their controls in their next game, the criticism this time around for their controls was looooooud.

Anyway, this has went from me pointing, with proof, that they have listened to player feedback before and it's evolved into a full blown argument about Rockstar's whole approach to SP and online so best swing this back on topic.

Arthurs length 2 also acts as kind of an underlayer for all his other beards, it goes under his chin and down his neck a little bit. John doesn't have that so his beards look kind of glued on instead growing out of his face.

I think the combo of Arthur's length 3 mustache and length 2 chin and chops would look just like John's beard from the first game with the scars added. It has a little soul patch and a gap between the top and bottom of his chin and it looks thick but not too long. Unfortunately this is what the same combo looks like on John. His length 3 mustache looks too wispy because there is no length 2 underlayer beneath it and the length 2 chin and chips are totally invisible.

That looks really good to me. Is it photoshopped or is it modded somehow?
