^ Well, I disagree with IV being boring. I liked IV because it was long with a great story, but V was short with a not so good but really fun story.

IMO, IV's missions are not as repetitive as people say they are. Can't deny that I did 3 chasing missions in a row, but shooting people can be fun.

I thought GTA IV was slow, but realistic. GTA V was faster paced, crazier and more fun. I don't think I've played a GTA game that I thought was boring. I get the complaints about GTA being "go here and shoot this" but I liked that. I still had fun. For GTA 6, all I really want is more freedom with the missions. Less hand holding and more options for how I do things. If it's the same as usual, I'll still enjoy it. For all the complaints about RDR2's game design, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the cinematic style, and it matched my personal style of play.

I agree IV had an amazing storyline and ofc was longer.. but yea I had fun shooting ppl in missions but that's the problem, they made the fun part when in the middle of the game. In GTA V, the fun part was in the beginning until finish but it was short, next GTA I want the story to be awesome and fun with a lot of amazing missions..

I'm kinda like you tbh. The type of guy who doesn't expect much from games and still enjoy them the way they are.

I'll enjoy any game that's not buggy or broken to sh*t, and that's the truth.

Yeah, pretty much. I enjoy some variety in my games. The main reason I was so hyped for GTA V, and also enjoyed it as much as I did. Was because of how different it was to GTA IV. GTA IV was dark, gritty, depressing and tonaly realistic. Whereas GTA V was bright, sunny, hot, beaches and a lot crazier. TBoGT was a great bridge between the two.

And that's why I love it and the Red Dead games too. GTA IV's deliberate slow pacing is what makes the experience so wonderful. Niko arrives in the city and he starts off doing lowkey jobs for contacts and slowly establishes his network and gradually works his way up to higher level hits/assassinations, but the game never gets too crazy and loses focus of its core.

At one time I used to hate GTA V's faster pacing, but playing it again it's not so bad. Infact despite that the story's shorter it plays out more like Summer blockbuster action flick and I don't see anything wrong with that the more I think about it. I don't know what direction GTA VI will take, but hopefully it continues to provide a different experience like the 2D era, 3D era and HD era GTAs thus far.

I've always said part of the reason I love GTA V so much, is the juxtaposition to GTA IV. I prefer the slower build up. But if GTA IV wasn't as slow, gritty and dark, then GTA V wouldn't have been as attractive. I guess it's like seasonal weather in the real world. I look forward to the summer after Christmas, and around August/September, I start looking forward to the autumn/winter period. Rinse and repeat.

The difficulty is what GTA 6 will be. I'm not sure what kind of game I really want. After V, I'm not sure I want to go back to a GTA IV style game. I'll miss the crazy fun and fast cars and explosive action. But I'm not sure if I want that twice in a row, either. Seems like it would be tricky to balance the two, without putting people off, who just want to get into the action fast.

That's why we need SP DLC to give us different types of stories and atmospheres, especially considering the length between games now.

Absolutely. What they did with EfLC was fantastic. liberty City was so different in each episode. I said it earlier, but TBoGT was the perfect bridge between GTA IV and V. But I'm past clinging to hope. Can't be let down that way.

Rockstar is a GOD when it comes to making everything they do feel new and different from the last while still having a traditional feel to it.
