What do you think GTA VIs first Trailer song will be?

(Please play the music as you read the description)

We see beautiful flowers blowing in the wind. Beaches, silhouettes of people on roller skates. It's beautiful. It's paradise. Cut then to the camera slowly zooming in to a in inconspicuous window of some beach front hotel.  Close up of a guy in slow motion punching someone off screen repeatedly. Blood spatter appears of his face as the camera keeps zooming in. He's kind of smiling but not quite. The camera zooms right in to his eye and the Vice City logo appears.

If the rumors of GTA VI being set in the 1980's are true, then I think this would be a perfect choice, especially if it's set in Vice City, if not for the reveal trailer, then for the main trailer that gets aired on TV.

Some low iq white thrash EDM music or Some Blackphanter trap rap or some latino themed cholo idiot rap

instead of quality white music like john mayer or frank sinatra or quality black music like tom morello, jimi hendrix, gary clark jr or even some quality latin music like vamos a bailar

Because today's society have gone mental no classy no more

Well, ever since VC, the first trailer uses an instrumental song (the only exceptions being VCS which uses "I Wanna Know What Love Is," and TLaD's "Dead Embryonic Cells"), so I'm sure that'll be the case here. So, my vote goes for this:

They should also use this song in any trailer after that:

Perfect if they do indeed revisit Vice City in the 80s.

Damn, I hope Boomers at Rockstar Games realise that we need to move on from 1970's and 1980's music.

The world moved on.

Okay, you old songs - doesn't mean you should put them everywhere.

If the game is set in the 80’s they aren’t going to put modern music on the stations. Music is tailored to the theme and often timeframe of the world.

Yes, but Grand Theft Auto V was set in 2013 and almost every trailer featured 1980's music. Give me a break.

Oh right, sorry. Thought we were speculating on music in a trailer for a new game not GTA V.

Even so, the music used in the marketing is a curated list of music that spans from the 60's-2011 to give various different flavours to each trailer and character in each trailer.

Rockstar have made a sh*t ton of bad choices, music choice has never been one of them.

To be fair, the game's soundtrack was composed by Tangerine Dream. You just don't get more 80's than that. I think that it has to do with Micheal not letting go of the past or whatever.

This is the better cut of the OST, imo.

Since we don't know the era the game will be in, this is a pretty cool track that is a 2018 track but has a lot of 80s overtones in it.  I could totally see a speeding convertible car, roof down at night in the city:

I dont think Rockstar will take the obscure approach with this game. I think the music they will use will be very IN YOUR FACE, and mainstream. Especially on the adverts, we have seen them approaching this scheme with the Online updates and extended commercials of the regular game.

Somethings that’s smooth, has a complete vibe of the era, and is evocative of R*’s dominance. Something that tells us “Here you are guys, this is it..GTA VI”

All this '80s sounding new wave and rock stuff being suggested in the thread, seriously people? If it were Las Venturas:

That would be the perfect trailer music. I always get strong Vice City vibes whenever I hear it.

It might not be for the first trailer, but I could see that for the second or the third one.

Not a trailer song, but f*ck ME if this isn’t a track being played in the new Malibu Club. Omg this sh!t has 80’s funk club vibe ALLLL over it.

Someone who is 30 years old definitely isn't a boomer, it's actually not even GEN-X, but an early millenial.

Boomers are people who are in their 60s and beyond, now.

Modern song but I could totally see them using it for a 1980's Vice City trailer.
