It is kinda strange how some people will experience lots of issues with the game and the rest will experience little to none. There doesn't seem to be an inbetween, at least if there is those people aren't being vocal about it. Speaking of locations; back when lobbies were plagued by the piles of dead horses and other broken elements, it seemed to only be affecting players in the UK and Continental Europe. It is all indeed very strange. I'm not sure if the problem with showdowns are related to geographical location though; that seems to be happening to players from all over the world. Yea I saw UK players mention it, but while I was in a few lobbies with the horse glitch I had almost no problems with DC's and no crashes if memory serves. I had a few DC's a few days after the update, but they didn't last long. RDO just seems to be very sensitive to latency or packet loss or something. As far as I'm concerned, they were way premature in removing the Beta tag. For a game from a AAA dev/publisher with this many bugs this far out from release is disgraceful. Foxwolfe
I still remember people posting about the issue with animal spawns, and me bringing up my experience with not seeing the issue. There was once or twice for a few minutes each time where I did notice what felt like a lack of wildlife in the game but literally that was it. While I have no actual idea I can only assume it was a bug that just effected a decent number of people, similar to how some would get disconnects on the regular while in my experience I rarely got disconnected, does that mean that person was being targeted by R*? Of course not, there's too many variables behind the scenes for any of us to have much of any idea. Xtf and Lonely-Martin

But seen folk mention 'high ping' could that be another issue? (Not that I'm in any real rush to learn all that mind you, lol). For me, it was that xxxx2006 error that would kick me to a PSN blue report screen that I had the most trouble with. Some days I'd be on all of 2 minutes and bumped, others I could play a few missions and be booted after a little while. Sometimes no issue at all. 9 hours ago, CMCSAVAGE said: Weird is an understatement. As far as I'm concerned, they were way premature in removing the Beta tag. Currently the game seems calm and I'm finding more peace and with far less errors at the moment, the game really has good flow to it for me. But before the last content update I was logging in thinking not only who I'd meet and what crap they'll sling my way, but always wondering if I'd get in. Usually as the game loads, I'd make a cup of tea, lol. But after long I just had to sit the and wait to see because coming back with a fresh brew and ready to go and met with that blue screen was just annoying. (Trivial I know, but don't mess with a gamers rhythm. Ha Ha). Edited June 23, 2019 by Lonely-Martin Wording.

I don’t get many issues like that odd 2000100xxxxx disc and serious blue screening several time within a 4 period after last update but as far as stability and staying online I’m good. It's been pretty solid. That whole beta phase was just plagued. Naturally as a beta, it was expected/anticipated of course, but along with the lesser content back then too and how easy it was to grief, all of it, just made the game that bit more frustrating when the game messes up like it did. Restarting for whatever reason 3 or 4 times really just isn't inspiring, lol. Shame these showdowns are having to wait to be addressed, not my kind of activity, but freemode can only be more friendly and varied if the external PvP modes work. Forgot to say, the one good thing about that error report disconnect was how we send the reports to Sony (And I assume Microsoft for Xbox too). It meant after so many, R* couldn't ignore that one and I'm sure Sony would have gotten fed up and told them it's a bigger issue too, lol. Edited June 23, 2019 by Lonely-Martin Spelling. If they actually did something on purpose then it would've affected 100% of the players on both platforms. How can someone claim not seeing alligators for weeks when I was skinning them everyday? Ok then other than insulting people here what is your point? That because something didn't happen to you it didn't happen? Nice example of solipsism syndrome. It happened to a majority of posters here and on other forums. You don't accept that because it didn't happen to you in your limited playing time in your locale. Okay fine but don't try to denigrate those to whom it did happen as delusional gullible fools (i.e. "kool-aid drinkers"). gtmike, AmyStone, Chunkey_Monkey and 1 other
CMCSAVAGE
Perhaps you should take your own advise and "let it go already". First of all, I never disagreed with someone about "their experience". I disagreed with those that claimed it was intentional.

gtmike
Yeah this has been over for a few pages now. No one can prove anything conclusively, and one user in particular seems to be unable to disagree or discuss anything without being a condescending asshole. It could have been intentional, or a bug, the only evidence either way is peoples "experiences" which mean f*ck all. ALifeOfMisery
I encountered the lifeless lobbies, it wasn't just no animals, or no animals in certain areas, it was no animals, no NPCs, no missions/hideouts/ambushes across the map. What was interesting though, was that I'd use a solo lobby glitch and everything would be fine, more animals than I'd see in a working regular public lobby, hideouts spawned, as did ambushes. Stranger missions were still hit and miss, but they had their own persisting issues. That's only my own anecdotal account, but it does lend itself to the theory @Jason posted on the last page. I've had no problems recently, the game seems to be running well as far as my recent experience goes. Xtf
To me, This sounds like the same thing that killed rdr1 free roam. There was a spawn glitch where you get one npc to spawn multiple times but the game could only track so many assets so for every spawn of the one npc something else didn't spawn. If you went to a private session where no one was doing the glitch everything was and still is normal. I can't say if rockstar intended to reduce spawn rate or not but we can be fairly sure they didn't intend for the world to be empty. We know they reduced the payout on skinned carcases as they were previously the same as unskinned and that was not intended. As foxwolfe has said, there are too many variables behind the scenes. I think part of the issue was the actions of other players, whether it be the glitch or just being more active in the world hunting and clearing hideouts. It would also explain why people who play in solo lobbies and spawns in mission (essentially a private session) were not affected.
