Nerfgoth
After saving Tom Davies from hanging and killed all members of The Montez Gang that story got its conclusion. Finch got his bank robbery and killed the men who double crossed him. So that story have an ending too and no hints for a bigger job. LeClerk have some people left to kill. So my question is that are we getting a continuation on Finch and Davies?
IamCourtney
Plenty of other criminals for Davies to hunt, plenty of other banks for Finch to rob. Or maybe new people will get roped into the drama, who knows?
Jason
From what was said in the last mission I think future story missions are gonna take a break from this story and we'll move onto other things / new characters etc. Xtf
Gray-Hand
New story arcs might very well branch off according to the ‘careers’ that are coming to the game in September. The Dedito Gae and Commander S
Lonely-Martin
Mrs LeClerk mentions some lass she's after, and how if/how to clear all our names. The others are more spontaneous events so anything could pop up with them. A proper train robbery, the poker boat in story could be another to hit. Definitely more coming. Gotta see Horley get rejected, lol. It's gonna be like There's Something About Mary, but at the Alamo I reckon. Edited June 18, 2019 by Lonely-Martin Wording. Nerfgoth, Rev. Red Lynx 23
Grace Lansing is still alive, and may quite possibly be the meanest of the bunch who killed Mr. LeClerk and framed our characters. Finishing the story with her, and clearing our characters of that annoying murder charge may lead to the professions we'll get with the summer update. Hope so! August cant come soon enough. But hope there is more pve in the tunable. Some idea about robbing a boat sounds mighty fine. The speculation about LeClerk leads in to our future career sounds like a good hypothes. Lonely-Martin and IamCourtney
4eyedcoupe
I've always assumed that we would be saving Mrs. Leclerk from the gallows in the end. The Tom Davies mission has made me question it, but I still see it as a possibility. Maybe we will just have to break her out of jail. Red Lynx 23
^ I was hoping we would get to see Alfredo Montez get hung, and mock him with emotes. Kind of like Elias Green being hung, and John Marston can watch from the crowd, and taunt him. Nerfgoth
4eyedcoupe
Just thinking about it more, I would love to see a mission where WE are broken out of jail. I know that we are sort of in the beginning, but imagine you are doing a job for Mrs. LeClerk, Davies, or Finch and durring the mission we are surrounded by lawmen from Blackwater for the murders commited durring "Destroyed by Grief". Overwhelmed by lawmen it goes to a cut scene and we are forced to surrender. Maybe in jail, or while in front of the Judge, one of Horley, Davies, Finch or even maybe all of them together come back to break us out and we fight our way to freedom. Eh, just day dreaming at work instead of crunching numbers lol
Commander S
Definitely think that each different arc is going to get revisited at some point - already had that with the most recent update, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the trend going forward. Not sure if they'll all be continued as part of the one update, though - depends if there are story missions with the new role-specific stuff, and whether the new jobs are strictly Free Roam unlockables, or handled a bit like going down the gunslinger/honourable or outlaw/dishonourable paths with the current branching arcs. Might be we'll see something new introduced first, then later a follow-up to the LeClerk stuff, or whatever.
Red Lynx 23
I wonder if they'll expand on some of the story mode characters as strangers. Even if it's divided by being honorable or dishonorable? Just as some examples: Online story missions similar to The Hanging of Tom Davies, but you are partnered with Sean MacGuire, and possibly become a (temporary?) member of The Van Der Linde Gang. Or working for Joe, leads you to taking part in a robbery alongside Joe, Cleet and Micah. Which I believe was before he joined Dutch's gang. Perhaps a mission where you follow Black Belle's lead against The Lemoyne Raiders. Maybe they decide to attack her hideout in force, similar to a camp defense. Or fight alongside Flaco against some Skinner Brothers. Maybe about the same idea, similar to a camp defense. All just speculating of course. Depends on if they're moving the timeline like in GTA Online. I'm hoping that they do and for a brief while Red Dead Online will parallel Red Dead Redemption II Chapters 1-6. By next summer Red Dead Online could be set post Chapter 6. It'd be interesting if their goal of making Red Dead Online as immersive as Red Dead Redemption II includes temporarily immersing Red Dead Online with the events and fallout from Red Dead Redemption II. I would not fancy trying to clear out the Van Der Linde Gang hideout. At least 2 of them have dead eye superpowers that are superior to ours as well as health regeneration. Also explosives. If you don't head their warning and leave, you die instantly from a single gunshot. (Similar to the those mysterious snipers that are intent on keeping Arthur out of New Austin) Arthur or John using Dead Eye to quickly eliminate a posse of 7 in a matter of seconds would be believable. I'm more interested in the consequences A Land of Opportunities will have on RDRII, and the consequences RDRII will have on Red Dead Online: Pre-Red Dead Redemption II: Joe moves out of the house and a family moves in A father and his sons begin building a house in Pastor's Ridge Black Belle moves north of Saint Denis Central Union Railway sets up camp north of Saint Denis to continue working on the railway. Applessed Timber Co's camp is set up The Trapper opens shop in Saint Denis and sets up shops in the wilderness Red Dead Online -> Red Read Redemption II: Spoiler Hosea Matthews hears about the Lancing's and Jeremiah Shaw's deaths. He sees an opportunity and creates a real estate scheme in Blackwater. Posing as an out of town broker that manages the Lancing's estate, Hosea claims to be auctioning off the Lancing's estate to the highest bidder, and sets up the auction. The potential buyer(s) of the Lancing estate have their money ferried over from Saint Denis for the auction. That in turn creates the opportunity for Dutch and Micah to plan a heist on the ferry to steal all of the money being ferried in for the deal. Mrs. LeClerk, Mr. Horley, and the PC are in Blackwater to find our what the ruckus is regarding a "Lancing Estate Auction." Before they can confront the men behind it (Hosea and Arthur) the rest of Dutch's gang makes their move on the ferry. Mrs. LeClerk and Mr. Horley are killed in the cross fire and the Online Protangist is forced to flee Blackwater alongside Landon Rickets. Rickets however gets the fame as being the "sole" survivor of the Blackwater Massacre. Red Dead Redemption II Chapters 1->6's effects on Red Dead Online: Stranger Changes: Bray and Tammy Aberdeen: Spoiler Final Mission: ThevPC rides up to the house and senses something's off Mission Objective: Investigate the house Reward: Brey and Tammy Aberdeen Belt Buckle Jack and Sadie Adler: Spoiler Final Mission: The PC rides up and sees the burned home Mission Objective: Search the Ranch for signs of Jack and Saddie Reward: Jack Addler Belt Buckle Black Belle: Spoiler Final Stranger Mission: OP rides up and sees the aftermath of a fight with the Lemoyne Raiders Mission Objective: Search the location for Black Belle's whereabouts. Reward: Black Belle Belt Buckle Anthony Foreman: Spoiler Final Mission: The PC rides up and sees dead bodies outside the home Mission Objective: Search the area for Anthony Foreman Reward: Anthony Foreman Belt Buckle Flaco Hernandez: Spoiler Final Mission: The PC rides up and sees dead bodies in the camp Mission Objective: Search the camp gor Flaco Hernandez Reward: Flaco Hernandez Belt Buckle Sean Macguire: Spoiler Disappears from the map. They could add a mission/encounter involving Karen, which rewards Sean's Belt Buckle Hamish Sinclair: Spoiler Final Mission: The PC rides up to Hamish's house and finds it empty Mission Objective: Track down Hamish Reward: Hamish Sinclair Belt Buckle Josiah Trelawny: Spoiler Disappears from the map, but will start to randomly appear in various locations . He becomes more ambiguous, often talking about the consequences our actions have. Instead of offering Honorable or Dishonorable missions, Trelawny will instead let the player decide if they'll be Honorable or Dishonorable in how they handle them. Some might say Trelawny has become a Mysterious Stranger. Joe: Spoiler Disappears from the map, but later reappears alongside Micah and Cleet in Micah's Gang. World Changes: Appleseed Timber Co chops down the local trees, then abandons the location Central Union Railway Camp completes the railway The house in Pastor's Ridge is finished The Bacchus Bridge is destroyed The Rhodes Bank gets a hole blown in the side Braithwaite Manor is burned down Colter, Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shaddy Belle, Lakay, and Beaver Hallow are temporarily inaccessible while the Van Der Linde gang are camped there New Gunsmith and General Store owners in Rhodes, and a new Sheriff Cornwall Kerosene and Tar closes (Whatever else I'm forgetting was changed throughout the course of Chapters 1-6) To avoid GTA Online's Free Roam's "wibbly wobbley timey wimey" issue, The Blackwater Massacre would be a turning point. Players that haven't completed The Blackwater Massacre would experience the pre Blackwater Massacre Free Roam, which would remain exactly how it was prior to the Blackwater Massacre. Finishing The Blackwater Massacre would put players into a post Blackwater Massacre Free Roam, which will continue to progress with time. The Blackwater Massacre mission would include a "temporary point of no return" warning, but hint that there's a way to return. Post Blackwater Massacre Freeroam would have a unique Stranger Mission involving a certain RDR2 stranger who shows the PC the way back. However, the stranger warns that they're limited to what they can bring back with them. (For example, Player owned businesses/properties that didn't exist pre-Blackwater Massacre wouldn't be avaible when time traveling to a pre-Blackwater Massacre Free Roam) They also inform the PC their time travel is limited. They're only allowed to time travel between on their own history. Doing so would allow players to return and play the old Stranger Missions, making the Blackwater Massacre a temporary point of no return for them. Opposed to being permanently gone, having dead characters be alive after their "deaths" and structures not being changed as time progresses. If they wanted to make future shakeups to Red Dead Online, they could introduce other "fixed" points in time to travel back to via time travel with a story mission being the turning point. AStiffBreeze
I don’t think they’ll make any map changes. The idea that the story missions could somehow intersect with the Blackwater Massacre is an interesting one though. IamCourtney
Pocket Fox
Future story missions will involve Mr. Horley screwing us over and we'll all be like. 'Noooooo!' And then there's a cliffhanger for future story missions. Horley is behind it all, I just know it. lewiz6235, IamCourtney and blackwolfred
