Really cool project! I'm playing in this game, and I saw that roads have strange textures, and objects are rendering very slow. Just not as good as on PS2 or GTA 3 on PC. I'm waiting for link to this mod. Keep it up! 

 

Maybe you can use this mod, if you ask author for permission to do so: https://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=22930 he retextured radar for vcs, lcs, some random map textures (for vcs and lcs), and player textures/clothes.

Hello i really love this project since LCS works really slow on PCSX2 i wanted to ask one question would it be possible to not port PS2 hud because it has things that i dislike like for example squared health and armor stats, on psp i really love that it has cut corners like in VCS, would it be possible to just change the size of psp HUD like on PS2

Yeah, I hate these square health/armor bars too and thinking to leave them rounded, but for this I need ability to rebuild DTZ resource image (I have only converter which can make PS2 one playable on PSP). About HUD size: Idk for now, I'll try to resize it later

Afaicr you was only posting things about LCS. But how are things looking on VCS? (you just uploaded video from vcs) and when you'll post an download link :p? (just asking, coz your videos are old).

For vcs I need to build workable on PSP .dtz, because ps2 version has more stuff placed on map. Firstly I need to finish lcs (kinda busy right now, but still do progress)

Since development has taken longer time that I expected I decided to upload this pre-alpha version of LCS Remaster. It has working 3 islands (subway is not converted currently, sorry) converted from ps2 and replaced almost 80% of all textures, also it has ps2 DTZ, models and textures and so on. Currently it has few known graphical issues, so report only if you expierenced crash. Tested it on latest available PSP build, so it's sort of playable.

As I told above I replaced 80% of textures to GTA3 ones (which in most cases have double dimensions compared to LCS PS2 ones)

Cool! But I don't know if this mod have any sense now. Ryadica is working on GTA LCS PC and its done in 90%, on VC engine. There's no need to play on PPSSPP if someone made PC port. So, it's better to think about that fact. VCS will never have PC port (most projects are dead if not all of them) and only this game is worth this remake. I know, that some players want to play only in these games on PPSSPP but also many people wanna play on PC. Because PC port is more stable, without FPS drops and other problems like very ugly textures or non-widescreen-HUD. On emulator I could play in 4xPSP resolution with some FPS drops. In Vice City I have 1920x1080x32 all settings on max and without FPS drops. Any FPS drops. That's insane! Everyone wants to play in LCS on their PSP, but without PSP support your mod will not be so popular (maybe if you finish VCS it will be). I'm not saying "stop making this mod" but "try to make it PSP compatible, so anyone could play it (if it's possible)". I'm waiting for next update!

 

By the way I think that PS2 textures and models with better draw distance will slow my game, is this possible?

I think that lcs saves store more informations than just how many money we have and progress we made. In VC if somebody edited ipl and ide files, they could corrupt their saves. I think that this happens in lcs too. And, I don't know what version of lcs you have and what version majestic had, when he edited it and it's textures. Maybe its version problem? (European, USA etc.) I'm thinking about "downloaded USA version from Majestic and trying to run it on my European version saves"

Idk, I never played PC editions of these games and seems never will. About compatibility with original PSP - it's impossible because it's too weak to run enhanced for PS2 game, fortunately PS Vita can handle it.

Corrupted map in down left corner? 

And you know what - for me the best thing in this mod will be PS2 cars and it's LOD draw distance. It's annyoing how they're spawning in front of the player on PSP, and how I could saw when their lods were dissapearing, and the normal model was showing up instead of the LOD.

Sometime ago I had GTA 3 enb series. That enb had HUD reflections. This means that Ive could see HUD reflections on my car, like in the mirror

The texture on this car is looking like the broken map texture, so maybe its the same bug I had with GTA 3 enb series.

This mod has almost all game resources changed, so ppsspp savestates created in original game will cause bugs with this ISO. Savegames shouldn't cause bugs (I used ones downloaded from internet myself). But if you upload here yours 100% savegame I'll check it too.

 

Radar is BACK. Hope to upload beta soon.

i create that savestate after load 100% save game

its not a savestate from old original version.
