[LCS|VCS|REL] PS2 assets for PSP

Thank you very much for these mods!
a question in Liberty city stories the subtitles appear by default,
but in vice city stories it is necessary to enter the menu
in the US version,
Is there a way to make these appear by default like the EUR version does?

Annoying bug report for latest VCS version: Objects in the distance seems to pop in/out right away with the mod installed instead of fading in/out like they should (and like they do without mod installed) Hopefully this can be fixed. And a smaller issue: rain particles can look invisible or bearly visible in some casus.

And one last least important thing being HUD elements positioning doesn't look right? Or completly accurate to the PS2 version? Dunno how to explain it but its 100% not the same i think.

Use widescreen and 2dfx plugins to fix some of these

No, that shouldn't be required, when i notice issues i only test the game with mods one by one and this issue is apparently caused by that one, and hopefully its not that hard to fix the lack of fading.

I'm having this problem on Marty's first mission "Shakedown". Marty's truck is misplaced below where it should be.

 

Please ignore the exploded gas works, I played the cutscene through the TV at Clymenus to quickly take this screenshot. This truck bug also happens if you play the mission normally:

If you don't mind cheating you can just install the CheatDevice Remastered and spawn it.

I can wait, but thanks for the advice as I never knew about CheatDevice.

 

Looks like the bike outside the safehouse disappears ONLY if I save the game. I left that bike outside as I left to do taxi missions and when I am done and return, the bike is still there.

 

And the bike inside the garage with a car is safe.

This usually happened on the road in Harwood in front of junkyard where the car crusher is/8-Ball's place entrance.

 

Also let me confirm something else:

I also noticed health/armor bar in one version is rounded-square and in another version is standard square.

The rounded-square bar is for PSP version whereas the standard square bar is for PS2 version?

Since this mod is using PS2 assets so the health/armor bar becomes standard square instead of rounded-square?

On LCS, the game gets stuck on the loading screen when I use HD Hud PSP (haven't tried the PS2 one).

Also the HUD gets messed up with the widescreen fix (I am assuming its because you have modified the hud).

Why does the textures of the barracks look blueish? Jerry's office looks blueish as well

Compare to normal version. It doesn't look blueish at all in PSP by default either.

Just finished the game at 100% with this mod (both LCS and VCS), and the edited PS2 main.scm ofc. Apart from the aforementioned issues, there's also an issue with some stats for oddjobs from PS2 not showing, like all of the PS2 exclusive side missions don't show (with the exception of collectibles such as rampages). The records are saved but hidden as I could test, as the game still tells you what was your previous hi-score.

hi, love this mod, also i am confused about the file GAME.DTZ from the GTA Liberty City Stories folder inside the archive and with the GAME.DTZ file from the GTALibertyCityStoriesAssets.rar\PSP_GAME\USRDIR\CHK\PSPHR folder, do i need to use the file GAME.DTZ from the GTA Liberty City Stories folder inside the archive? also the GAME.DTZ files from the HD Hud folder is crashing the game on loading. thanks

Hello. 

I use the European version of GTA VCS.

I was able to try with the US version of the game with the project GTA PC edition the rendering is stunning.

I've already tried on the PSP emulator to put the modified files on a European ISO of the VCS game as I suspected it wasn't compatible.

How to extract subtitles and text files from the European version of the VCS game on PSP for the US version.

I think it is easier to convert text files than to reconvert the files to adapt it is a European vers

ion.

I have also encountered the issue of vehicles suddenly disappearing near me in Saint Mark's and Harwood. Is there any fix for this problem?

I love this mod. It's nice blend of the PSP and PS2 look.

Out of curiosity, has there been any update to fix the police bribe/rampage pickups being just circles in VCS?

Also, I am wondering if it'd be possible to increase the render distance of the detailed objects. That'd be sweet.

I've tried this mod with VCS and there was no such bug, so you should be alright.
