Clever... You should try using the PS2 timecyc for both games. I think they work fine. It'd be nice to see this for mobile, too. Good luck :)

EDIT: VCS has some additional sidemissions on PS2. Will you port the script files too?

1. These screens and videos already with PS2 timecyc. 

2. Mobile LCS already have PS2 version map so I will not add mobile support in my tools.

I made a timecycle mod for LCS once that made it look more like the PS2 version. Since the lighting is different in both versions you can't just use the raw values from the other one, it needs some post processing. Unfortunately the colour filter works different in both versions so i couldn't do that.

Thank you again. I've used this method of converting timecyc (clearing blur section) in my first tries of converting LCS from PS2 to PSP couple years ago :). I should reuse it again

Thanks. All things pretty cool on LCS side, it runnning pretty well with converted files and I'm not expierencing random crashes during testing.

On VCS side this a bit complicated. I have working ingame MDL, XTX, LVZ/WRLD converters but expierencig a crash at end of loading with converted DTZ (maybe some platform specific data which I've not found). Now I trying to pass loading screen because porting other stuff like SCM makes no sense without DTZ (PS2 version map has many stuff placed through DTZ map, like palms for example, and few extra collisions for USJ for example)

I' thinking about it too because this mod supposed to be played on higher resolutions than on original PSP. Also I'm thinking to add hi-res textures during converting (via texture catcher) from mobile version to improve graphics even more.

It is possible I think, but I'll not do this anyway even if I get permission from VCS PCE team to use their resources. Target of these mods is to port PS2 versions to PSP without losing their originality. So there will no self made fixes or gameplay changes. Only thing I'm planning to do is to replace original textures with ones which I'll find in GTA3 (PC/Xbox/Mobile) in higher resolution, make HQ hud and fonts

@MAJEST1C_R3 Any chance to bring back PS2 exclusive statistics to PSP version of VCS? PS2 script for VCS works just fine on PSP but i'l crash whenever game will try to load/save PS2 exclusive stat, workaround is to of course remove the stat which was suppost to be loaded in scm itself and it works just fine (Caddy Daddy) (Playground in Docks) etc...

ew no. hud looks like nothing in original ports. world textures are either sh*tty upscales or remakes based on gta3 textures and not gta lcs.

For hud it would be better to ask Re:LCS since the remakes are pretty close to original in nice hq.

I can't. My HDD died couple years ago and I've lost all of my tools, source codes and all of my 3ds scripts, including MDL importer with PSP support.

Yes it will. I've contacted PPSSPP developers and they told me how to make it compatible not only with old versions of emulator. But this mod will NOT can be played on PSP. Not sure about PS Vita

I have a psvita and am willing to use it to test on a vita. I'm sure there is a market for a graphically updated LCS for vita. Even if its just the map, models and textures from ps2 would be a huge improvement and I'm sure the vita can handle it. Let me know what you think.

What bothers me on PSP versions are low poly textures and mainly... the sh*tty draw distance. I can't stand at stuff popping at 2 meter from where player is. I prefer the PS2 version. Would there any way to replace VCS/LCS HUD and fonts to use on PCSX2? The only annoying thing (IMO) when emulating PS2 Stories are bad fonts and HUD. Is there anything I can do to replace them?

Maps in both games will be streamed 1:1 like on PS2, and of course draw distance will be 1:1 like on PS2

Currently I don't have any tools to replace textures in GTA Stories.
