White Shark
I love the Deathbike. It's become my favourite out of all motorcycles. I like the versatility of being able to use my own hand held weapons, whilst also having the offensive capabilities of the bike's miniguns and spinning blades. I'm just wondering if any of the vehicle mods make any difference performance wise? We know the spinning blades can hamper you a lot when going over kerbs etc and the speed glitch on the Apocalypse / Nightmare variants, but is there anything else you have noticed? E.g: Does the back shield change the performance of it? (Apart from the obvious bullet protection from rear) Do the different armour upgrades make the bike stronger / weaker? Does removing the back shield enable a passenger to sit on the back? Can the different modifications effect how easy it is to fall off the bike? I'd test this all out myself, but the mods are so expensive on the Arena War vehicles that I'd rather ask others who may have different modified Deathbikes. Thank you! SummerFreeze
In general, buying armor plating sets the vehicle's armor value to a certain percentage AND increases its resistance to crash damage, explosions, and bullet damage. The heavier the armor plating the more you get of each, but the difference between no armor plating and light armor plating is much bigger than the difference between medium and heavy armor plating. Also if you buy 100% armor on a Gargoyle before converting it, the Deathbike will retain that armor value BUT buying any armor plating option later on will overwrite that value. In addition, a Deathbike with 0% armor before conversion and light armor plating upgrade afterward is much more resilient than a Deathbike with 100% armor and no armor plating, especially in regards to crash damage (the latter will start to smoke much sooner). The Deathbike only carries one person regardless of armor plating. Personally, I own two Deathbikes: - One Apocalypse version with only light armor plating, jump, boost, and large diameter rear wheel. It looks like a WWII-era motorcycle and I use it in freemode. - One Future Shock version with all upgrades for use in the arena. I have not noticed any difference in regards to falling off. I only know that the faster I go, the easier I crash into something. The glitched Deathbike can go very fast; I've hit 301 kph / 188 mph with it in the top speed challenge.
