Casino: This is The End

The Casino is known as the Holy Grail Update. I always thought Rockstar would drop it on the release date of RDR2, because "they're like that". And because this is it, this is the last big update they have.      (New little game modes don't count as updates).     Back when we didn't know RDR2 online was going to fail.

Until this game stops making massive amounts of money from Shark Cards, I’m sure there will be more updates to come. Another reason for players to burn their cash in the casino.

Literally every DLC in the last few years: "This is the last one"

Everyone thought Doomsday Heist was the last DLC.

No way they're stopping updates until GTA 6 comes out. They may not have a ton of ideas left, but there are still some ideas for updates that could easily be used. Or even if they wanted a low effort option, they could just add an update that had a bunch of cars from previous GTA games and nothing else and people I'm sure would love it.

I never though past updates were the last. The nightclub was nothing special.    Doomday...maybe.    You're

lying to yourself if you didn't know Rockstar always had the casino up there sleeve

They didnt explore a lot of themes with the DLC's

I think that at least, there will be one DLC more to treat UFO theme and Epsylon. The futuristic guns were only an approach

There is still tons to come. Most of the map isn't even used really, and they can always expand the map.

The end of GTA V will only come 6 months before GTA VI is released. GTA V is still their most lucrative asset for close to 6 years. Just on one game with "free" DLC R*/T2 has been able to keep their doors open, lights on and people employed in multiple offices across the world. They have even had the capital to remaster previous titles as well as release a new AAA title, RDR2.

Business is run on risk management. Until GTA VI is officially announced and hard-scheduled for release, R*/T2 are NOT going to discontinue support and maintenance of GTA V, their primary revenue stream of the last 6 years. To do so would be too risky. Although if they did, it would be pretty entertaining to hear of the first instance of a RPG used in the boardroom.

Not an end, but a change to a really slow PR and update phase.

No, there will be an RC-update IMWO... That's something that will definitely arrive one day. Miniature warfare is the way to go... Miniature racing is the way to go...

Why would they kill off the chicken with the golden eggs? GTA online will continu to receive updates until GTA 6 drops and I don't see that dropping anytime soon.

So I most definitely don't think my grinding for cash is invain… Lots of stuff still left to explore and introduce... And I think RC is something that will happen...

They have zero incentive at this point to even think about GTA 6 - why would they?

Until no one is playing gtao, gta 6 will never happen.

I'm going to request your source on all of this, do you have inside info that is freely leaking this? Because so far we have nothing that tell us that the Casino is their final DLC.

We also thought that Heists were the final DLC, and then Doomsday Heist, and then After Hours...

Dan Hourser and Sam Houser are the incentives, they like singleplayer games where they can write their own stories withing their own worlds unrestricted of Online BS, and since they call the shots at R*, that's more than enough incentive for GTA VI.

Also, you lie to yourself if you think VI is not a work in progress back at R* offices.

I'm not expecting it to end any time soon. Due to all the different and random things they've added to GTAO, they could add practically anything at this point and take any theme for an update and it will 'fit'.

RC car racing update with a bunch of RC cars to face the RC Bandito? Yeah, that works. Just do that, add a bunch of tracks - maybe go ahead and take a page out of Re-Volt's book and have us race in interiors with various props added to spice it up. Add a few real cars to the update as well to fill it out, some random clothing they like to throw in, a bunch of missions and there you go.

We can't even say 'it would be too weird for GTA' since we have flying bikes, a DeLorean with rockets onboard, a jetpack armed with homing rockets, golden revolvers, rocket powered cars, trucks, armored everything etc.

Stop hyping these updates up like it's the end. No matter how good the theme is 1. No 2. You're only setting yourself up for disappointment. People genuinely thought After Hours would be the update and when it launched the disappointment was intoxicating. Not saying this update will be that bad or anywhere near it but, it's probably just another update. Nothing extraordinary and certainly not a mark towards the end.

Thats right, I know nothing; I'm using common sense.

They'd be stupid to stop updates after the Casino update, logically because that update would rake players in. The Casino has been requested since launch, releasing it WILL bring back those that left.
