Go to the industrial plant bug??

I got a bug about a week ago telling me to go to the industrial plant. When I go there there is nothing however if I attract and escape police attention then a blue circle appears but still no mission is available. I tried talking to the rockstar support and even made a new character but this glitch won’t go away if anyone can help please do. Thank you.

I’ve been having the same problem and I am on PS4 I figured out that if you are in story mode and have your friend invite you to the job then you can play the job

Nope. Like expected, the Alien survivals are still active.

Just made an account on here for this issue. Having the same problem. Ron calls you says to help defend the plant, you go to waypoint and it doesn't do anything. Just comes up as a blue circle. And now it doesn't show up at all when I tried relogging. Read other responses and I really hope its just an event thing. But I am stuck playing single player until because it won't let you do anything else just says 

"Go to Industrial Plant" 

Won't let me pull up any other jobs, and other people keep calling me saying the same things and and over. Can't load any races or anything, can't even quit the current task it just says it. This is really frustrating being a newer player because now the rest of the even is useless. I can't even play it

I just ran into this issue and honestly cannot fathom how Rockstar can be so bad at making games now, that they actively disable a tutorial mission to make their game literally unplayable for two weeks every year running on 3 years now. There are people posting about this issue from 2019!!! It’s 2021, and this game is almost 10 effing years old!!! If you’re not going to give us the new game you know we want, how about actually making the game you have out playable and enjoyable??? Instead we get drip-fed bull s*** updates that add 5 cars and more bugs than it fixes. When it took them 5 years to produce Red Dead 2 and use the same skeezy layout for another crappy online game no one wants to play, you know that they’ve learned nothing and only care about raking in Cash. My advise, wait for another company to release a game like this before investing any of your time into this one. EA could make a better game than this. Hell, a toddler could make a better game than this.

Just got back in to playing the game online, but have now reached this same stumbling block preventing me from playing any missions, I just hope it doesn't last too long otherwise I will end up shelfing this game and play something else.

Having this problem "Go to the Industrial Plant"

their is no marker there

if I get a wanted level then get out of it blue marker appears but no interaction

Cannot access any other missions

Had to make a new Character

It got patched back then but with the halloween event weeks the misson is unplayable again bc some missions got added again. It should be normal after this event week. So at 04.11. it should be playable again. But yeah r* get lazy with patching stuff ing gtao

Just another new account here posting to say I have the same problem. I'll bet there are a lot more people than just here.

 

Bought this game for $30 nine days ago. Only was able to play it for the first two days. Then got to the same tutorial mission as everyone else. Rockstar responded to my original ticket, but won't even reply now. Not only a embarrassment for them, but a totally unacceptable way to treat people.

 

I currently paid them money to not play their game.

I was dealing with this problem too. I ended up getting rid of it thanks to my auto shop. If you own an auto shop wait until you have a clients car that needs specced out then personally deliver it. When it's completed the blue waypoint will be gone

I'm in a similar situation as you. Just came back to check if it was fixed lol not. I never played gta v online when it came out because of all the bugs and people complaining about it in the forums. Got a ps5 recently so I  purchased gta. Got to play online for a couple of weeks before it was broken. WTF no patch for 2 weeks? Definitely NOT buying gta trilogy or ps5 remastered.  I grew up loving rockstar, when the f*ck did they turn into EA?

Guys I might have found a fix, hear me out I had this glitch 5 days ago and now my friend has it. I had that same blue marker, for me it got fixxed after i joined my friend's MC, my friend then started a sell mission for her cocaine lockup and after that it got fixxed. Let me know if it works.

Me also have this problem 2 days ago. After accepting Ron's "go to industrial plant" BUG, i cannot do any normal quest and cannot start heist. What is the problem with the developer.

Good night with everyone, I have the same problem as all of you, after going to Trevol, Ron calls me and tells me that I have to go to the industrial plant, the GPS tells me to go to the industrial plant, when I arrive he does not appear Nothing, and then when I want to play activities, Lester Lamar missions, etc., I get that I can't and that I'm busy, and below I get that my character is dead, then I discovered that if I riot and the police kill me, a Blue circle in the industrial plant but no synematica appears to do the mission, and seeing that this goes from 2019, if some know if when this event is going to end it will be fixed.

The event has ended. The old survivals are back. You guys can go and see if it works now.

I now have the same issue, started during the festive update and since then has not corrected. Same symptoms as everyone else: job list empty, can't join friend's games, map locations bugged, route to industrial plant always there. Rockstar need to fix this. Anyone else found a way to do this?

I got that same bug and now im here to tell yall how i got it fixed in my case, READ CAREFULY, ITS A BIT COMPLEX:

 

WHAT HAVE I TRIED: auto-shop missions, Coke missions, changing sessions, launch the Industrial Plant mission, restarting pc, nothing helped.

 

WHAT WORKED:

 

1 - i noticed that the game notifies about another mission from GERALD at Cypress Flats, but after few seconds the pointer disapears and a new one leads to the Industrial Plant.

 

2 - So i tried to go to the first one (CYPRESS FLATS) even after it disapearing, following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYM_QYpINEA

 

3 - when i arrived there was no blue circle, as usual, so i got out of my car and walked around the area where it was suposed to be (watch the video linked up there to see where it is).

 

4 - it trigged a tutorial dialog talking about deathmatches and stuff, i let it finish, then freezed, so i quitted the game and rejoined.

 

5 - when i got to online again, the mission from Gerald (CYPRESS FLATS) was gone, just the INDUSTRIAL PLANT one was left, so i got there and this time i tried to launch the mission and it worked, LAUNCHING THE MISSION WILL TAKE SOME TIME, BE PATIENT. i was with 4 players at the lobby but it loaded with me alone on the mission, it don't matter, i killed some enemies and died wave 4.

 

6 - DONE! when it loaded back on freemode the glitch was gone! Aparently what it did was sort of "recreating the tutorial mission cicle" doing jobs that the game was thinking i was going through for some reason.

 

7 - So yeah, try to see if the game gives you some another mission before the "Industrial Plant" one and, even if goes away from the map, go there and walk on the area the first job was suposed to lead you to, then go to the Industrial one and try to launch it.

 

8 - if you still can't, try to ask someone to host the industral plants job to you, hope it helps! Peace.

Thank You! This problem started appearing for me yesterday and i just couldn't work it out. I tried going to Cypress Flats but there was nothing to enter. Then it told me to go to the Industrial Plant where there actually were a corona to enter but it didn't work. I never thought to go to where the Cypress Flats mission was supposed to start even though there wasn't a corona there. At first i thought step 5 wasn't going to work because after entering it, i was starting up with 3 players and it actually seemed like it froze at launch. It probably seemed like that to the other players because when i finally started up in the mission i was alone. But it worked!

THIS, I couldn't get the survival game to start. I Followed the steps like stated and it worked just like that.

- For the cypress flats, just stand where the circle would be and it should trigger the tutorial

- when it freezes, I just went to the menu and joined another session without exiting the game.

 

- Went to the industrial plant and got into a solo lobby. I started the game solo and it WORKED!!!

- I played until I died

 

BOOM!!!  Problemed solved 

This solution makes sense and I would like to think that it would work for many others GIVE IT A TRY

its not a issue, its an alternative way to solve the problem that i found when i was getting the bug, but it didn't work for me

the same happened to me, i was with full party and the survival mission started with me alone at the map xD Rockstar and their bugs.. but im glad it helped you guys, i tried diferent things for 2 hours yesterday and i needed to share so other people could find something real to try.

It worked like a charm for me, a little freeze after Cypress Flats so I search a new session and Simeon calling between Cypress Flats and the Industrial Plant.
