I cant claim mastery of using PIB because I only use it frequently but I have discovered this helps me when I do use it...First I aim assist onto the target before activating PIB. This way, I am already close to the head shot area. I am under the understanding that PIB drastically reduces or maybe even eliminates the aiming bloom on weapons. With this logic, when you are aimed at the targets chest area by aim assisting, activate PIB, and slightly aim up to the head area, you are ready to fire (you wont have to wait on the aim bloom to decrease). I have friends that use it very efficiently and can wreak havoc in gun fights. If I had to pass along one piece of advice that I can tell you for certainty, it would be NOT to activate PIB first and then start aiming because at this point you are forced to free aim. Don't know why but now you have mentioned it that makes perfect sense. Sound like I just need to use it a lot more and get used to the timing of those three things.
