1v1 practice method w/o affecting kd?

Does anyone know of a way to play/practice 1v1 combat without affecting the K/D ratio?

Using Creator?  Within a mission?  Other??

I don't care about kd scores, but my friend is now reticent to practice with me since the first time we had a long 1v1 netted me a 10-point kd score loss. He feels bad about it.

But I'm godawful at this combat stuff, and just want to practice with my friend.

Have an equal kills on both sides after 7zsSMLW.png7zsSMLW.png

Sanches:  Thank you for that suggestion.  I will keep that one in mind if there are not any more convenient options.

Word of advice K/D means jack sh*t on this game. When there's explosive ammo oppressor mark 2 deluxos and military vehicles getting into the mix is hard to actually take the whole KDR serious.

Just compete against each other for fun.

Agent 14: I don't care about the kd. My friend does, though, and doesn't want to decimate mine.  I just wondered if there was a known method that would satisfy us both.  But I totally agree with you.

The only thing you can do then is as someone mention above get the same amount of kills problem might be is that since he cares about KD he won't like his to go down either as you get your kills back.

So there's nothing you can really do regarding a dm that doesn't affect KD. The only option you have is to convince him to compete with you for fun.

If you don't care about it, why does he? Get your friend in a headlock and knuckle-rub his head until he capitulates to your demands.

Make an extra account if you just want to mess around and practice.

It affects your KD tho

like if your average total kd is 10 and then you do a match where you get 5 kills and 5 deaths your kd is 1 which is worse than your average total kd which brings it down

Big Molio:  Funny, and okay, I'll probably end up doing that.

StangOne50:  Good suggestion.  Thank you.

Sentinal Driver:  Right, good point.  Thx.

K/D doesn't really matter and holds no weight considering how easy it is to artificially inflate through methods such as EWO. Just save yourself the headache and just play the way you want without worrying what your K/D looks like. Its meaningless.

Just tell your friend that each time you get beat by a score like that, you use it as further inspiration to get better so to bring his A-game.

Tell him it's for the greater good, as for if he lets up, you can't improve. :)

To hell with PVP, just do BVP.

My new character on my new account has a 76.00 K/D, lol.

RC Bandito FTW.

Just tell your buddy that he'll have to sacrifice a damn near useless number for the sake of practice.

That's my 2 cents here.

What about if you're a CEO, he's your associate, and you turn on friendly fire? Anyone know if that affects K/D?

Friendly fired just prevent you from shooting at someone in the organization/MC.

Also, I have a feeling OP is this "friend"

Sort of like when people ask an outrageous advice for a "friend".

The fact that he made this topic and even claim to have KD warrior that won't play with him because of his KD kinda puts it into perspective. Not assuming anything cause he might be telling the truth, but you never know with some people.

KD means nothing in gta. If it’s high now, it will take 100+ deaths for it to really budge. Even then it might not, I killed a player 80+ times once and mine didn’t really move. Not worried about it though, you’ll enjoy the game way more if you stop worrying about a stupid meaningless stat in a game like this where it doesn’t matter.

Ohhhh, they hate that Bandito, don't they?

It's hilarious, LOL   (and I never use LOL!)  🤣

I did nothing but BVP on my other two accounts during February and March. The K/D's on those characters look "respectable" now.

I know K/D is meaningless, but yeah, the RC Bandito can provide a lot of lolz.

A good way to practise the mechanics and get paid at the same time, is survival.

Complete 10 waves solo (as a goal)

Hi El Sueno.  I have actually done quite a number of Survivals solo, and have managed to reach 10-level several times.  But only because I hide in a corner and let them come to me, LOL.  I am, though, trying to improve and move away from that duck/auto-aim habit.

 Thank you for your suggestion.

Just to clarify:  I really meant to just see if anyone knew a novel way to just practice sans kd change.  No big deal if there is not such a thing.  I will pressure my friend into helping me more.  No one needs to convince me that the KDR is meaningless.

I am working with Creator to make a Deathmatch that I can practice in solo (via testing option) or with a friend.

Thanks for all the input everyone!

You can create as many death matches as you want but none will prevent your or your friend KD from dropping.

Log into an invite only session.

Head down to beach.

Go into First Person mode

Pull out your Marksman rifle

Place a stickybomb at your feet

Wiggle your joystick while firing wildly at a NPC 200ft down the beach

Detonate the sticky.

TADA!  You are now an EXPERT LEVEL tryhard!

(BPH + Rebreather, white facepaint & BST optional)

wish I had an answer for you op. funny how nearly everyone is just giving their opinions, when you clearly didn't ask for opinions, you just asked for a simple answer.

and some ppl even think you're trolling cuz you're asking a legitimate question about a legitimate statistic in GTAO. crazy huh
