roggek
Found an AFK player (there is sometimes lots of them) in Rhodes, which i had fun with in over an hour. First i shot him at least 15 times (all headshots). Then i throwed him on a campfire (and that was a fire!), lassoed and hogtied him and rode around with him on the horseback (no wonder everybody was afraid of me, beacuse they thought there was two players). I took him up to West Grizzlies so he froze to death. Then I was targeted for assasination, which i won, beacuse nobody was near Colter at that time in 5 minutes. My frozen friend has then probably awaked and logged off... What is the pinpoint of this? Well, the 15 minute kicking for idle timer obviously doesn't work… So next time you see a blue dot not moving on the map, have fun as long as it lasts... If someone is constantly respawning, that's not being idle. I see plenty of people standing around, I assume maybe they're on the phone or in the bathroom. If I have to walk away for a minute or two, I'll use the catolog. To me, it would only be funny if could get someones reaction on mic. They come back from the bathroom or whatever and see their character being dragged around lol. 1898

But there was no reaction for this AFK player for over 2 hours straight. Just standing there But I had a fun moment in target practicing... Just respawning, and even when i rode around with him hogtied on the horseback there was no reaction at all... Now when i look for the gamertag on XBox there is no matches on that username… So I still doubt the 15 minutes idle timer works correctly…Or there is a glitch on R* side... Foxwolfe
Naw the idle kick timer definitely works, I got kicked from it just yesterday. Not sure how some stay afk out in the open for extended periods of time like that though, maybe there's a particular menu they enter or something (similar to how say using the wilderness outfitters menu from Cripps will prevent the idle kick timer from activating). But yeah I can't blame ya for having fun with the guy, it's like at that point why not just log off? You aren't playing the game by idling for over an hour. Fozzie
Use a Titan One/Two console tuner, run scripts on your controller to make it seem like you are playing. Done

areyouchappin
If a player's controller disconnects for whatever reason that could possibly delay or obstruct the Idle kick timer.
4eyedcoupe
The idle timer has tried to kick me while driving the train. I hate the idle timer on this game. When I need to go AFK I always go to the post office and interact with the postman, never get kicked. grandtheftbanksy
In RDR 1, I would find idle players and fill them with craploads of tomahawks. Hit them once, let health regen, repeat. People look funny filled with a bunch of tomahawks or throwing knives. 4eyedcoupe

Leftover Pizza
I lack the capacity to see the fun of attacking AFK players as a whole as well as the need of going AFK for a longer period of time. If I need the bathroom shortly, I'll look up a store and get in there to prevent being attacked while shortly AFK. If I need to leave the game be for a longer period of time, I simply log off. It's not like you can generate easy cash while being AFK, like in GTA Online, anyway. The Dedito Gae and Lonely-Martin

Red Lynx 23
While visiting the gun store in Valentine, I once watched someone hog tie an afk player's character and drop him in the water trough outside. The character started thrashing around and gasping for air every half second. No Homing
Ghoffman9
The only time I did that was doing a hogtie on the guy and chucked him in a pig pen to roll around in some pig sh*t and just let him there. No Homing and roggek

LooseCanon
Maybe opening the catalogue in a shop stops the inactivity timer starting? I’ve seen people in the post office with it open.
