How to deliver an export vehicle without getting killed the second I drive out of my warehouse.

I’m a level 162, and just starting vehicle import/export missions as a CEO.  Over the past few days, my associate (played by my boyfriend) and I have successfully stolen target cars to store in my warehouse.  Today, we decided to try selling one.  However, the millisecond that I spawned outside of my warehouse with the vehicle, I was sniped by a high level player (over 700), who then stole the car and apparently turned it in to the cops.  My boyfriend and I regrouped, and a few hours later, in a different session, we tried to start the delivery mission again, with him waiting outside the warehouse to watch for other players.  Unfortunately, same thing happened.  I was taken out in an instant, followed by my boyfriend less than a second later.  This player was over level 800.  Once again, the car was stolen and returned to the cops.  I know that going after other players’ cargo is part of the game, but this is absolutely discouraging, and cannot be a coincidence.  My question is: how do these high level players know when we’re just about to start a mission, and how do we avoid being sniped the moment we leave our warehouse?  I’m assuming these players were off the radar, but I don’t know how to counteract their sneak attack methods.  Between this setback, and all the constant griefing that goes on in GTA Online, I’m just about ready to hang up my CEO hat and call it a day.  The point of playing video games is to have fun, especially with my boyfriend, but between nasty trolls and high-level poachers, it has now ceased to be any fun at all.

Well, there's only a couple reasons why you'd enter and leave a vehicle warehouse, so these guys likely set up shop and watch over the spawn area with a thermal scope.

You can join a grind friendly crew, they usually play together and look out for each other, try to keep the trash away. Or, you can alter your internet settings and set up a "private public" lobby, but your bf will have a hard time getting in and staying.

Sucks but doing all this sh*t by yourself is like, the only foolproof way to run businesses.

What platform are you on? You can always get in a solo lobby and not be bothered.

Yeah, solo public lobby, La Mesa warehouse sales technique and you coin it in. Anything else seems like hard work to me.

Then there’s really no point in playing, sadly.  I created my character and started playing GTA Online so that I could have fun with my boyfriend.  I’m not interested in playing by myself.  I really wish that Rockstar could set it up so that only players of comparable levels ended up in sessions together.  These high level assholes that have nothing better to do than to pick off lower level players are ruining the game for the rest of us.

We use Xbox One.  I don’t know how to get in a solo lobby other than to create a crew only lobby for the two of us, or to keep switching sessions until I luck into a solo public session and then invite him in.  That seems very unlikely to happen.

Sounds like a bad case of sh*t-luck. But usually it's not hard to determine someone's about to make a sale.

-Just delivered stolen car to warehouse.

-Spending lengthy amount of time in warehouse.

Best thing I can say, aside from the obvious solo-public and all that, which I don't do:

-Don't spend too much time customizing: Go for 1 option in each category for maximum efficiency. The less you spend in the warehouse, the less time the others have to reach you before you start the sale.

-Before accessing the laptop: check the world map and watch who's in the vicinity of the warehouse, about 5 blocks out. If someone's there, just leave it for now.

-If you get targeted while selling a car, don't sell in the same lobby again, they'll probably try to do it again.

-When the Global Signal countdown ends, enable Ghost Org. The 12k it costs is not such a big dent in the payout you get, especially if it's 2 cars, considering your bf is helping. 3 minutes is enough time to high-tail it to your seller.

This forum also has a boatload of info in I/E, so have a look around

 Unfortunately, same thing happened

No way it's a coincidence. Was the guy in the same exact spot as the previous one? Do these guys belong to the same crew?

Also, I would consider questioning the crew you are in. Is it open? Is it by any chance related to IGN or MP3/Payne Killers ?

The easiest solution is to trigger a solo public session the seconds you start a sale. Even if you get sniped, even if the car is stolen, you can still complete the sale without other players and without hostile NPCs

I don’t know how to get in a solo lobby

Google always helps.

Source: Hit middle xbox button - Settings - network settings - test nat. Back out once it's complete and you'll see everyone leave your session

If you still want to sell in public, you can test the risk by starting a Fake sell mission using a pending transaction trick.

However, this is even more tricky than the solo session.

If you create a solo lobby as flexcreator mentioned above, your boyfriend can still join you. It will only be you two in the lobby, just check every now and then (like before a export) that no one else joined in.

Good thing GTA is fun when you're doing nothing. Well to me at least. Grinding for cash becomes a chore, since you get into a routine. Steal car, sell car, steal car, launch VIP work, rinse repeat.

I've had more fun doing these contact missions by myself.

I never use it so I'm not sure what is allowed and what is not, but would 'Invite Only' sessions work?

That way you know who you're playing with and can just enjoy the game.

There is CodeSwine for PC players which allows for an IP whitelist, a similar app for XBox would be ideal.

They really should have set separate up PvE and PvP lobbies.

I mentioned this before, that we should be allowed to run business missions in any lobby instead of only public ones. The only choice is doing the trick of kicking everyone out of the public lobby. (For pc, suspend/pause the game for 10 seconds, then resume).

I try to sell cars only in small sessions when I see that people mind their business or helping each others and there's no killing going on. Another indicator of a good sessions is when you see that others making sales or getting supplies without being destroyed. Other way to make a safe sale is to have someone protect you during the mission.

I've never had someone trying to snipe me when I was out of the vehicle warehouse, but I've got Flying Broomsticks after me several times since the op mkii's inception.

Since then I only sell cars on solo public, or in sessions with my crew, or when I have 1 or 2 friends and non-hostiles around. It's just too easy to go after a I/E car with a mkii and destroy it, I know that because I did it a few times myself.

The odd thing is while you're still on that loading screen waiting to spawn outside, you're already visible to other players, just sitting in the car for a few seconds. You can't be killed during your loading time, but other players can manually aim at your head and as soon as you spawn outside you can be killed.

If they simply unload their Combat MG during your loading time you'll die the millisecond you spawn outside.

I don't know why the game works like this.

Don't worry, the game is working exactly as intended. Rockstar always tries to give griefers an advantage or head start to ensure maximum failures and shark card sales.

Those MC Post-op vans that shouldn't draw any attention? They appear on radar, can be missile locked by the likes of Oppressor mk2s. Pretty balanced, right?

This game is very complex and changing code often has some unintended consequences, a good example is bug with Akula which couldn't lock on anything when it had dual passenger gun. For few years playing game I never heard before of sniping someone during car sale, so I guess being visible for a few seconds getting off the loading screen is not really a big problem worth changing code. I don't think maximum failures will lead anybody to invest additional money in the game, most likely constant failures will make people to stop playing GTAO at all and find other game to play. MC DLC is really old, at the time it was created there were not many vehicles with  homing missiles around. Besides MC was created for team play  - it allows you to have many members and they paid well for successful sale. I guess this concept proved to be not as good as it was intended, but the thing is that you get 6 people in your MC club and make sale with half of team protects your sale vehicles. Rarely works though  : )

this works perfectly, thanks for the tip. Just did it for the first time today. He tried firing a rocket at me, but missed. Too bad the payout was just 5k for delivery at the police station.

If you are playing with your boyfriend, don’t be greedy and try to run a two car sale. Get him outside first to ensure any lurkers aren’t around and then only do the sale when the coast is clear. Have him escort you on an Oppressor 2 or something, to ward off anybody who tries it on.

And watch out for people like me. I love to guess the intended route, then wait out on the highways and byways to steal CEO cars from other players. (It is Grand Theft Auto after all)

I feel ya, but don't give it up entirely. I just stick with friends (or a bit of solo time when i fancy/friends arent available) and do very little businesses stuff. The game has loads to do, including the Doomsday Heist that is 2 player friendly.

There's cash rewards for certain heist challenges too which can help with some good bank. Criminal mastermind, all in order, loyalty (same team throughout) etc. Very rewarding gameplay, IMHO. (Even more if you can find 2 other players to join and make a 4 player team).

Plus there's missions, and VIP work/Terrorbyte missions are invite/crew session friendly too. Might take a bit longer, but in peace and on your terms, good gaming all round. :)

Taking the time for 5k lol, you could steal and sell half the cars on the map and get more, but you just gotta get that satisfaction of killing a totally defenseless person and screwing them out of 20k.

Granted its still "mostly" their fault, but it takes 2 to tango.

Screw them out of up to $100k if they are delivering.

”It would be better if players had to steal cargo instead of mindlessly destroying it” cry the players who are distraught at losing their shipments.

So players do exactly that with CEO cars and still the teeth gnashing continues. There would be nothing left to do at all if some of the GTA Online community had their way.

Like others have said, spend as little time in your warehouse as possible. If you spend an extended period of time in your warehouse other players knownyoure about to make a sale.

What I always do (and this goes for any sale) is watch the map like a hawk. When I'm heading to my warehouse I'm conscious of who is around my and within close proximity. Also watch the screen to see if any players activate ghost organization or off the radar because that probably means they're after you. If you see any of this just find a new lobby.

I typically don't like to sell cars in a solo lobby because then that triggers NPC's to come after me which can devalue my car if they're shooting at me. Whereas if I can find a safe public lobby I can get the car to the drop point without losing any value if I drive carefully (and NPC's don't try to kamikaze in front of my car)

Ummm select CEO GhostOrganization "before" you go to the warehouse. :p

*or if you have an Akula you could disarm the missles and fly around all day in ghost (works best at night)😉

sure, that would work, but it's a bit expensive if you have to do that for each car. (12k out of 80k = 15% of your profit, and NO high demand bonus) It makes perfect sense for bunkers, nightclubs and crate warehouses where the risk is much bigger (in the millions). For cars, it's better to find a small peaceful lobby, you can set your spawn in vehicle warehouse so you shouldn't expect to lose too much time over that.

I agree but she asked how to "counterattack" which to me meant she wanted tips to fight back not run so my suggestion for that is to "be sneaky" 1st. :^:

RaigeGames  When you leave warehouse there is a certain point where NPCs spawn. Learn it. Get out and away from vehicle. Fight 3 or 4 waves of NPCs. get back in and deliver car with no damage. Before you get back in car pick up spare cash lying all over the place. Drive carefully because NPC drivers get stupid also.  This is mainly for solo lobby play. I have weak Internet and solo is what I get.
