Sure it had good quality but there is something about illegal street racing that makes things more exciting that Forza just can't deliver even if we scratch the fact that it lacks cops. Forza is just too "posh" and wants to be way formal. I want to be on the edge and feel like a menace when I'm racing. Unfortunately NFS hasn't kept the quality high as well which has pretty much made me give up on racing in this generation. Hopefully things change. Cause I'm a sucker for these types of racing games. Having only asian tuners is gay, NFS started off with Exotic cars anyway. Carbon's great for having a good mix of all car types. That's sort of what the Crew is. TDU+Forza but both games are severely flawed. I played the first Crew and started the second one and they are quite boring actually. You have to grind too long to get cars and for some of them you have to pay real money. Upgrade system is pretty sh*t too. Overall quite disappointing but the driving physics are good. ṼirulenⱦEqừinox Posted September 15, 2019 Share Posted September 15, 2019 I'd like to see them go back to the old school route and bring back the orginial concept of Racer v Police and make a modern version of the 2005 version of NFS Most Wanted where the whole purpose was to evade cops and get where you're going but maybe that's just me being older and prefering older games over the new racing style games... Visually, it's reminding me of Underground 2, and it seems to have a little bit darker of a story. Loving all the pink neon. Reminds of NFS:U2 and Vice City. Nice to race a nice city at night again. These days there is so little open world games that are set in Miami. During the last ten years I can't think any. I could be wrong though. Considering that racing genre has been a little lame lately this feels like a breath of fresh air. Remains to be seen if this is actually good or not. I know I kept making points against the next GTA in being back in Vice City, in favour of a new city, but there's no denying that it's a fun city, especially for racing in. Did you play The Crew? Miami is that is great in that. And yeah, that BMW reminds me of driving around in a Sentinel in Vice City. Even the colour seems like it's Vice all over. The N. APB Posted October 19, 2019 Share Posted October 19, 2019 I noticed Ghost Games have done something wrong with the traffic in this game. In the night there is more traffic than in the day lol. Shouldn't that be the opposite? Hope they make it more denser anyway through a patch or something, because the map feels really empty, especially within the city environment. Otherwise I think this will be the only game I buy this year when it comes out. I definitely love the underground and most wanted era of need for speed, but a game like that wouldn’t work well today because modern car costumisation has hit the sh*tter. The focus nfsu had on chavmobiles and cheap japcars wouldn’t work in a modern car game, while mixing classics supers and tuners together wouldn’t give off the same vibe nfsu had. Like a lot of people have mentioned in here, story/gameplay the series never really got any better than Most Wanted, but even that game was past the prime of the series for me. I got into it with the original 4 titles. My favorite being High Stakes. EA killing modding is what really killed Need For Speed. It doesn't matter what the company does, nothing will ever be as fun as increasing the speed and mass of a car and sending cops into orbit off of a stupid jump you built into the track. Hell all of these companies killing off the modding community in general and going total control freak is whats killing most of everything. Anyway. Every now and again EA comes out with an NFS thats good for a single play through. I actually liked NFS 2015. That had one of those B movie "so bad its good" qualities to it. This might be one of those. Payback on the other hand... tried the demo of that and couldn't uninstall it fast enough.
