With the summer update bringing new roles that will unlock their own weapons/gadgets/clothes etc still a ways off, I was curious as to what y'all are currently chasing? Have you set any objectives or have things you want to accomplish before the next big update?

Me, I just hit $25k today and so now I want to buy the fire/poison/small game arrows, volatile dynamite/fire bottle etc so I'll be farming the cash but won't dip below 25k.

I personally just love to complete some Daily Challenges,

they are usually varied, making me Hunt a little, cook, play in a Posse and/or play a Showdown or Free Mode Event.

I am keeping my Daily Streak up and enjoy Free Mode, while writing Rockstar Feedback through their official Feedback Site, once I encounter any Design issues, hoping that they will listen to my Feedback and improve on the game, by focusing on the right aspects.(In my opinion these aspects are Hunting, Free Mode Gameplay, Building up your individual Character and Role Play Aspects)

Hit lvl 100, maintain daily streak and build a healthy stockpile of financial resources to dive right into new content with. Though I'm more willing to go broke in RDO; being perpetually ahead of the curve gets stale...

At the moment, save up gold and money for the summer update. Rank up to 149 for a gold bar. Then rank up to 150 for a treasure map.

To play in a very opposite way than I do in GTA.

There I'm a greedy sod, bought the lot and got millions spare. Here though, I plan to live off the land and play a survival way. Stealing or looting along with hunting and fishing, plenty of crafting. And far less clothing, lol.

The rank 50 trophy is a longer term goal, but one that will come with time regardless of what I do, otherwise it's just about making the most of whatever moments pop up. Though it's been a mixed start, to put it mild.

This game can be fantastic at times but the bad spells are still dominating. I hope for more role-playing but to be left to roleplay. :)

You nailed it. That is what I loved about Fallout 4. Had five different character builds, each unique in the way the moved in that world.

This game needs a second character slot.

Stockpile bank (gold & cash). Dress very well. Enjoy every moment. My dad, rest his soul, always loved cowboys.

Just trying to avoid every "childish player", which seems to believe that Defensive mode is a joke...

Apart from that i try to do some dailies, hunting, fishing and stay on the righthand side of the honor scale...

Call me crazy... but I still have crazy fun just hunting and fishing. I don’t really do other modes unless they have double RP or $

As of right now, my only objective is to log on and do as many daily challenges as I can. As a day one daily player my objective was to make as much money and gold as possible for when the game got good.

Even though the Spring update breathed some life into the game, it just wasn't enough and I find it kind of boring. I still enjoy hunting, but I really need some other sh*t to do. Not being a PvP person, the game has become a "been there done that" experience.

I'm really looking forward to these role playing additions to get me excited about the game again. I hope that R* puts their efforts into full throttle and make this game something special, which it could be.

Daily objectives, awards, gun rush...in that order, each day.

Doing dailies as much as possible, hunt, fish, gang hideouts, the random stranger encounters, hoping for ambushes and just chill, enjoying the environment when it's day time and not raining.

I don't have any set objective.

I'm not playing RDO in the same way that I played GTAO, I'm not going after as much money and as many toys as possible. Not that I think that there's anything wrong with that approach, just after 5 years of grinding GTAO I haven't got the energy or will to do it again.

I mostly amble around, hunt and fish before choosing a butcher to sell at, then do some more hunting and fishing in that area before moving on again. I'll accept Stranger missions that allow me to stay defensive, like On The Hunt, join fishing challenges, complete a few daily challenges and do the occasional Story mission.

I'm just enjoying the slower, more relaxed pace of RDO.

To have my character sitting in a saloon moaning about the young ‘uns these days and then die of old age, face first into the almonds.

A lot of cool answers here. While getting ahead of the curve and acquiring recipes is my overall goal, y'all have touched on other important things, namely looking good, daily streaks and hunting/fishing.

I get those who say they did the grind on GTAO and want to slow down in RDO.

Be ready for the time Rockstar releases properties you will have to buy with gold. My gold supply is steadily growing, thanks to the recent handouts from Rockstar.

I am a few thousand xp points away from upgrading Langdon's Patience to tier 3. I have most potion pamphlets that I want.

I'm not anticipating housing much, to be honest. I never set a camp, never roam the same places and would probably never use the house much, as in GTA Online. I would only use the house as a spawn place if life outside it would be far too risky to spawn in, but that is not the case by far anymore.

Since the update I have been spawn killed 4 times only. Once I got killed by some douchebag who happened to be near where I spawned. Another time I spawned at the edge of a cliff, fell off and died and I got mauled by a present bear twice. So, 1 player kill, 3 Rockstar moronic spawns.

I'd never make use of the house.

I hope we get properties. Having a fixed location for homebase instead of a constantly roaming camp you have to pay for regularly, would be much better in my opinion. But they seem committed to the lousy camp system unfortunately, and I don't recall them mentioning properties. Or have they? I don't want a big house, I'll be content with a small cabin somewhere.

My current objective is to level up.

Having started over due to a character bug, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Currently level 23, 4 more levels until I get my horse back!

Can't get there soon enough. I'm really annoyed by that starter horse. The amount of times it bugs out and I have to punch it to be able to mount it again... Ugh.

That horse has got to having a serious hatred for me =P

Grab the free Andalusian & free saddle until then. It's better than the starter horse anyway.

I'm on the Xbox, the free Horse and Saddle is PS4 only atm(PS4 players get exclusive items a month ahead of Xbox players because of a deal Rockstar made with Sony), so I am stuck with that horse =/

After the story mode's epilogues were done, you could find (at least) 3 brand spanking new houses with a "For Sale" sign up front. You could enter them and give yourself an unguided tour. One even had some furniture in it.

When I first found these houses, I was all thrilled by the idea to have them in the online game as well and already picked one I'd like buying. After playing the online game after the update, I lost interest in a house as a safe place to hide from griefers and never even used my camp anymore for that (or any other) purpose either. I choose a freeroam location, spawn in session, set to Defensive mode, call horse and start roaming, no matter where I am.

I actually think the Andalusian is not so bad. I've been using it for a while to level bonding to 4 and the reason I am not using it much is because it's not black. We also have the free thoroughbred. Now that horse should have been better, but mine is a moron. It galloped off a cliff like it's not there and send me to drop dead hell many times.
