Meh, tired of contact missions..

$250k bonus is better than nothing but still peanuts compared to a real bonus on selling NC business products

It's both you and games. You're getting older and games are not really progressing as they should in general: more graphical candy and less interesting rewarding mechanics.

Oooooh look, another 250k they'll dangle in front of me but won't actually give me ...

Anyway, 2x$ Contact Missions are awesome, I know what I'm doing this week.

An actual update is soooo long overdue, even something as simple as a car pack would do lots of good for this game by now.

Maybe if it wasn't for the extremely toxic playerbase and endless neglect in part of T2 and Rockstar, I would still be playing the game. But right now, it's just not interesting. I've run out of what to do, and have everything I cared about having. So, pretty much done and waiting for the next update now. And it's being a loooong wait at that.

Seems like a decent deal for players under rank 100 who are still building their empires. Contact missions are often visited by older more experienced players which is ideal to the young player trying to earn a steady payout with minimal chances of sabotage. I haven't used my Nightclub much since release but for those curious this week's discounts and the cute lil bonus could push them towards the sale.

Not a very exciting week for the established, but barring the release of actual new content most event weeks are the same story anyway.

I'm just glad there's consistent discounts and mini-bonuses for those starting out. A consistent, strategic player could theoretically make this overpriced economy work for them over the long run.

We have some pretty reliable information late June early July (at least as reliable as we get these days). So it is coming...

As R3CON says, these are great for up and coming players, making it easier to get in the game sooner.

I'll probably take a break from filling crate warehouses to jump some levels and pay for those crates by running playlists.

I was still hoping for a sale on the Sea Sparrow, but I guess I'll get my other character the OpMkII for doing crate runs since it's on sale, I can save by not buying weapons or countermeasures at least, he won't need them, just engine mods and the boost.

He's got the Thruster, but it sucks for doing the boat crate mission, nearly got killed by the Buzzard last time he tried it.

There's really nothing to talk about this week. Just be patient, I guess. We usually get a major update in June/July.

Here are some (2X) Contact Mission playlists that I created on XB1 for all of the main NPCs. Creating and organizing theses lists took a lot of time. I have even updated Simeon's contact missions with a bunch of Repo Missions at the end, plus added a few missing missions to the Gerald and Simeon playlists. It's not perfect, but please enjoy, copy, plagiarise at your leisure.

At this point I think a week with no offers would be more exciting, at least it would be a change from the same thing over and over. We've had so many doubles that surely everyone owns everything by now? They've left it so long between updates that I wonder if all will even come back for the next one.

Not bad; I still enjoy contact missions and cannot complain when they're x2. Still, I wish they'd separate Dispatch missions from the other missions because the infinite loop of only seeing Dispatch missions on the vote screen after having played one is still unfortunately a real thing. Also, I've noticed that if I choose a regular mission on the voting screen and the next person chooses the Dispatch mission (if it shows up in the mix), the Dispatch mission always seems to win; regardless if anyone else has the time to cast another vote, which generally doesn't seem to be an option from what I have noticed.

Ah well, I guess if I decide to play, I'll have to solo them or only play them with friends and without randoms as I cannot really take playing Dispatch missions anymore; especially if they're always rushed through with most everyone using the MKII.

I'm still trying not to burn myself out again though; I haven't really played GTA much within the last couple of weeks, but maybe I'll jump on here and there to revisit a few missions if I have the time and am feeling up for it.

Rockstar is either losing a bunch of players from GTA, or there's something really expensive on the way.  Back to back months of 2x Contact missions?  Bonus gift money, and other perks for Gunrunning and stuff?  It's not like them to be that generous.  Kinda wish I wasn't busy with other games at the moment.

2x on modes I play anyway, and a bonus lump on the only business I do, and 4 t-shirts. I'm set, lol.

That said, I'm all but done. RDRO has really killed what was left in me for online gaming. Always thought I'd see this bitch out though, but I think my time has come. The DLC will have to be special, but after the arena and RDRO, I've no faith!

Been playing story mode games too much, lol. Spoilt by it all. :)

I'm betting on the former aka they've finally run out of ideas. Because after 5+ years of stalled innovation in game play, what else is left for them to do? The map was never designed to be as interactive and sandbox the way SA was. SA was highly interactive and could keep you playing for AGES. And that was before you added mods to a predominantly single player game.

Hell, compared to SA, the only thing GTAO has going for it right now is graphics. The scarcity in the amount of value added game play (i.e. Yachts, clubs, CEO & other business DLCs) are about the only thing keeping the game afloat for us grinders/RPers. Heists were the best attempt they've made that encouraged ppl to play constructively together. But that was only for a limited time before the linear, scripted missions became a complete bore. Resulting in most ppl abandoning them until double promotion payouts in promo weeks.. Just like the cookie cutter missions (Arena and other adversary modes nobody wants to play unless 2X payout), and activities (contact missions like Simeon, Madrazo this week). Seriously there is really no driving incentive to play GTAO after passing that $150 million milestone in your criminal empire anymore. Regardless of whether you cheated or genuinely RP/grinded your way there.

GTAO has been dead for a long time now. That's because unlike SA, it has always been fundamentally lacking in emergent game play content. e.g. considerable lack of interactive content like having to work out to keep a body builder physique. Or be as fat as you want. Being able to gamble. The fact LS IS STILL A [email protected] ISLAND WITH NO SF OR LV AREAS. The fact most of the map is completely inaccessible from a mission/interactive point since it's UNDERWATER. The fact the amount of interactive interiors that was in SA doesn't exist in GTAO some 2 GTA gen later. There's LESS interiors in GTAO vs. the single player game lol

TL;DR if they were really interested in dropping a decent DLC, they would've done back to back crates, Bunker, Clubs AND I/E at a minimum of 2X payout. Left the higher payout missions/activities like Survival at 3X. Left the underpaying hangar/MC business the f*ck alone. Kept contact 2X-3X payout. That would've given n00bs or ppl interested in starting a new character the incentive to really grind the servers these past 2 weeks.  Then come out with a decent DLC aka CASINO THEMED DLC, WHICH BTW IS THE ONLY FEATURE LEFT FOR THEM TO DROP IN THE GAME. ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY NERFED THE BAWSAQ FEATURE once the #yoloswag billionare playas permanently FUBARed the GTAO economy.
