Feels like its been forever since we had some good discounts on day to day items. I want to stock up on ammo again. Some of it I'm still going through my old stockpile, but weapons like the sniper express ammo ran out a while back.

Seems like TDM disappeared ages ago for some weird reason. You used to have a straight up TDM mode. Never seen it again now.

Yeah I wonder that too. There are 2 awards related to shootouts, one for getting the first kill and one for getting the last kill.

Does anyone know if these awards are only for the now removed tdm mode? Or do they work in any type of pvp showdown mode?

I haven't made progress for them in ages but that's probably because I only play showdowns for dailies and often just camp and leave when I completed the daily.

Btw, Public Enemy seems to be just like Hardest Target, except there's no timer for the player who's the public enemy.

I guess if a public enemy gets killed the next player will be chosen.

Which probably means a lot of camping.

No, wait if the public enemy kills other players you get points too.

So camping isn't rewarded I guess.

Don't think I played hardest target. I'll give this a go anyway, see what it's like.

 

The rewards - I do think they actually work for other showdown modes. But getting the first kill in one of them, you've got to get lucky. If someone else spawns right near an enemy, you can't get them first.

You know I always hate that fight clubs in GTO, but something like that in RDO inside a salon with the piano man playing , it would be hilarious and fun

I judge on a case by case basis. It's a gut thing. I guess a rule of thumb might be that if your outfit would look incongruous with an animal carcass over your shoulder, you're on the wrong track.
