Still couldn't delete my character and go again. Not because of levelling up, but the ugly mug is growing on me.

 

They keep throwing gold my way atm, lol. Just got another 12 and $75 added before jumping off. I got over 100 bars now! Think the hat is there too but not gone to check/collect yet.

 

Really started getting into the game now. Had a couple if knobs be knobs after missions, but when the other 95% of my time is like it has been this week, it really doesn't bother me. Just can't be a 24/7 sh*tshow like it has been and what GTA:O proved to be is all. 

 

Dunno what to buy though.

They have genuinely preeeeeeeeeeetty much solved the griefing problem. There's one or two things that need changing/fixing but yea, free roam currently plays like they intended it to (going by the GI interview). You can roam and go undisturbed 99% of the time but there's still that wild westyness to it. So many times now I've rode into towns or just been out and about and seen shootouts going off and I've never once been dragged into one. It's pretty cool, honestly. Watching mayhem unfold in a town while you sip a beer or sit on a bench or something, lol.

 

That isn't to say the games in great shape yet or anything of course, cause there's that teeny-tiny problem of having absolutely nothing to do. If the summer update is what we all hope, oof.

 

also fix the f*cking saddlebags and give us more outfit slots ya dumbos there's a reason GTAO now has 20 outfit slots how the f*ck did you take a gigantic step backwards on this

Yes, you get 10 gold for playing Destroyed by Grief this week and $75 for playing Kill Them, Each and Every One. It does not have to be your first time playing them, the only mission reward for this week that's exclusive to first time players is the $50 bonus for Honor Among Horse Thieves.

Going by the wording the cash/gold reward for the second two missions they mentioned (Fort Mercer, Blackwater missions) are for everyone. The cash bonus for doing the very first mission is new player only, which makes sense given that veteran characters have no access to that mission.

 

Haven't checked my self though, will do that tomorrow, my gold bar supply is low and I'm due 20 (2FA gold + event) so I'm hoping I get it soon.

1 game day is the timer and wait out the countdown to finish each mission dont go in till 30 secs from end as payout is far better, Just wait out the timer in safe zone

My only complaint aside bugs is that after jobs we spawn too close at times, especially noticed it after the mission in Fort Mercer, 'Kill Them All..' Otherwise, it's certainly feeling much calmer now and that's so much more appealing.

 

Totally agree the game is a long way from safe though. Content and bugs are needing good attention and like you with the outfits/backward steps, the camp is proving quite annoyingly useless to me. Wish it would stay put until I tell him to pack it up, I'm paying for it, lol.

 

And as good as some of these story missions are, we only have 13 (less if you're set on playing with a honour level one way or the other), I hope we end up with loads more. Really like this new batch and still to do the low honour ones. The Valentine one at night in the rain is a real highlight.

 

Plus more content keeps us busy too, less griefing if people are too keen to learn new things.

It was my first time doing that mission this week. Plus I'd already done the 2-step verification thing last time when they offered gold and GTA cash so believe I'll not get another 10 bars, lol.

Yes it is a new mission.  Since you finished the hanging of tom davies you should soon get a letter from Horley.  Pick that up at your camp or post office, read it and the mission unlocks

I hate to swipe that icing of your cake there, but propperties are coming. and you might very well need FAR more than 100 goldbars, even for the shady start-up shed without any furnitures and sh*t

yeah just googled that, cool! I have had that letter in my satchel for 2 days now...but didn't wanna open it right away (I take it slow when it comes to story missions) I guess now is the time though!

I don't doubt that at all, lol. I saw how GTA:O got warped too. But if the gameplay is there (much needed), I'm in no rush. And if it goes like GTA, I'm just lucky I can play a bit more than some, in general as I'll not play more than an hour here and there of this game.

 

I've no plans to buy much at all though. Quite enjoy being a lone wanderer out there, living off the land with meat, herbs and tonics etc. Wish I could start a campfire anywhere though. All I've bought is a fishing rod and guns, not much else. My horse was part of the UE bonus, and I've a free saddle too. My only goal is rank 50 for the trophy, beyond that, we need session choice for me to get stuck in properly.

 

I'm getting my platinum, and making the best of it and finding moments of fun. But it's a long way from 'there' yet.

Me and my friend got one gold bar each out of nowhere during a session last night, but since I didn’t get a message about it I have no idea why I got it anymore.

 

Got the free raccoon hat too but when would I ever want to wear that..?!

 

All Stranger missions worked last night, but the camp was glitched in a session, couldnt raise the flag or even pitch it but that solved when I jumped a session. No disconnects for me, my friend disconnected once and has decided to start using a hardwire ethernet connection. Good choice eitherway.

I got 11 this morning too, 1 was for a level up and I'm guessing that the other 10 were for replaying Destroyed by Grief, because I got the $75 for replaying Kill Them, Each and Every One at the same time.

Kill Them, Each and Every One gives a separate $75 bonus. You don't need to play both to get the gold.

Finally, I got the ten gold bars for the two step verification process. I am hoarding my gold like Scrooge. 

 

Rockstar should not have been their usual selves, by nerfing payouts in the first half year since the release. Now there is new content, handling out cash and gold is an effort to win back the lost player base. But I am happy with the gold. 

 

I am sure Rockstar will carbon copy the gta online model: Sell a Paywall and hide new content behind it. You will need to buy a shack to plan your heist for a boatload of gold.

anyhow, I was the driver and drove pretty slowly, listened to what the characters had to say, before and after the fight. I guess I dragged out the mission a bit that way but it was worth it, totally, since we got paid quite well:

 

- 1.3 goldbars

- 280 $

- 1600 XP

I believe the Fishing Challenges now pop up at 02:30 AM, 08:30 AM, 14:30 PM and 20:30 PM UK time.

This will probably change once a new freemode event is released.
