I hoped the Animal Kills event was gonna be more of a hunting kinda event and not this mindless killfest. 

Imagine if we had to Hunt the most pounds of specific type of meat for example. Something to make us use animal baits and have some hunting strategies. Idk wtf is R* thinking but this is not fun at all. I don't like just killing animals for no reason.

So that bonus of the 2 step verification: Is it only for people who enable it this week? Or is it for everyone? Im talking about the 10 gold+500.000 gta$ bonus

someone said you wont get PVP notifications. But isnt pretty much every free roam event PvP?  I mean i have never gotten a notification for any other PvP thing in game so im confused.

It could be a bug... Rockstar said you wouldn't get them if in defensive, but I have been getting them all along.

I wonder if they've decreased animal spawns within the hunting challenge. I've noticed that during the fishing challenge, it can be difficult at times to get the fish to even take the bait; even when you're using the special spinner. I don't know, perhaps that has something to do with the amount of players present within the area at once, but they do seem to spawn at a normal rate. It seems a bit strange, but something I've noticed the last couple of times I've played it.

That sounds better actually. I mean, I don't think what they've made is necessarily a bad concept; I've yet to try it, but I'm just kinda glad it's not the biggest overall single kill like how the posse fishing challenge is constructed with catching the one largest single fish.

well i thought that was what they said, that you would not get any free roam event invites if in defensive mode( which i really hate that because i stated how easy it is for them to turn it on and off, they already do it for doing missions while in defensive mode in free roam)

@-LN- The new game mode is just a small circle area where animals constantly spawn. You get 1 point for small, 2 for medium, and 3 for large animal kills. There's special animals that show up as golden icons for everyone, unsure if they gave extra points though.

Things have been good of late to be fair, had a few good sessions now and am delighted by that. 

 

Seriously thinking about starting over as I hate my character, lol. Also, just by renewing my PS+ I get an extra £10 off and 10 gold a month all year. Blimey! It was only £39.99 for 12 months, lol. I usually do 3 months at a time for £20 so can't knock a bargain there, IMHO.

 

I hope it continues.

Eh, I guess it looks playable, but these challenges would be so much better if they were a bit longer and allowed us to use more of the map as opposed to just a small specific area where everyone is in such close proximity with one another.

They did say it, but I'm thinking they may not have enabled it. I'm always in defensive and get every invite. It would suck to have to go offensive to wait for an invite to complete a daily that is a freeroam event.

The event week would be great, if it didn't screw over us older players. I'd lose more than I'd gain for deleting my character, all those weapons he's got on him. I do want to change his face, but I've got FAITH we'll be able to pay to change at some point.

 

EVERYONE should get a bonus for doing those missions

I think that by pvp free roam missions they mean intercepting other peoples missions. When I am in defensive mode I never get those, but I get the free roam challenge invites.

Agreed. It was way too many players over a way too small area. A real hunting challenge would also include pelt quality.

Not particularly thrilled by this week's clothing, the hat is awful. I have been wanting a grey shirt though, so that's something at least. Personally, I prefer the Heathland Chaps to the Shaffer Chaps, but if your going for a Sheep's Wool Jacket and Sheepskin Vest cold weather outfit, the Shaffer Chaps could work.

 

I've just replayed Kill them, Each and Every One and Destroyed by Grief, no immediate bonus, so I'll probably replay them both daily and wait on a black screen alert for the $75 and 10 gold bars.

 

Not had an invite for the animal kills challenge, but it did take around a week for me to get a fishing challenge invite, so I'll play the waiting game and see what I think after I've had chance to play one.

One thing GTA did better was the challenges because they became active on a live session. I'd rather run to my nearest hunting or fishing area and try my luck there than have everyone transported in the same location.

Feel like we need the sheep jacket/throwover from SP for the new chaps to look good in an outfit, they look a bit odd with anything at the moment.

Wait, do the bonuses apply to everyone and does the new player bonus only pertain to them playing the first mission (Honour Among Horse Thieves) for the first time? Sorry, I've not slept much and sometimes the way R* words their promos can be a bit misleading. I'm hoping that is the case though!

It says "awarded". Something I interpreted as something you are actually given. If you look in the catalogue you can see that several of the tints are "limited stock".

I guess, either or, I don't see a free exclusive tint not do I have a free hat in my inventory. Have to wait I guess, I didn't get the care package yet. I only see the hat itself as limited stock, meaning that it'll go away then come back later like other items did.

They'll offer you some scripted empathy and tell you to reformat your PS4.

 

Well, that put some life into this week's update. I was worried that may have been all for the new players having read the post and some of the comments from the first page. I'm collecting and holding on to my gold; I had spent all but about 3 bars prior to my break before the update dropped; now I'm up to almost 100 thanks to these events and promos.

R* can do so much better than this... We only get repetitive adversary mode easy to make garbage every tuesday... Cmon R*

Just Imagine the headline: "Introducing Nuevo Paraiso region in Red Dead Online" 

or

"With the brand new update, we focused on player camps and their features, players can now compete in minigames of five finger filet, armwrestling and poker. You will also be able to set a permanent location for your camp." 

 

I bet this would make much more fuzz about this game than some stupid run for the hills adversary mode.

Didn't get the bonus for the Fort Mercer mission instantly either (not done the other yet). Must arrive in a few days or something.
