LotisCat1992 Posted May 21, 2019 Share Posted May 21, 2019 (edited) I started a new file on xbox 360 and when I got on the bike starting a mastersave. I saw a cluckin' bell icon on the map which was wierd, note that the fast food places were not unlocked, I explored Los Santos and I found out I had all the icons except icons like the airplane or race tournaments. I started flying around San Andreas and I found all the house icons except the abandoned airstrip in Las Venturas which was red, I thought they were like the tattoo shops and fast food places being unavailable, but somehow, all the green icons were unlocked which is confusing, I didn't even put in the jetpack cheat which made it stranger, if I had enabled the jetpack glitch, I would have all stores available but no, they were unenterable as they should be? Ordinarily I'd suspect mods or editors, but this isn't likely on Xbox. Please clarify: Does "All Icons" include girlfriends, assets, clothing stores and tattoo shops? Are Wang's Autos or Zeros shop red? Are all safehouses green, including SF and LV? Do you have icons and the red marker for any missions besides the usual starting mission at CJ's house? Is there an icon for Emmet's gun? Is the gang cash asset available at CJ's house? (Deleted incorrect code snippet as it was cluttering the page.) I also found out that if I go to start a new save file by pressing new game, then pressing yes and mashing the skip button while seeing the name of Ganton on the bottom right flash for a split second and only showing the Francis airport liberty city text show up before starting behind the bike, note I'm playing on xbox 360 ROCKSTAR MANIC 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only enter-able places (icons) are purchased safe houses, stadiums, pay n' spray, gyms, and the 2 tattoo shops in which are already available such as the one by the hippy courier mission in SF. Yes all the houses including LV and SF are available. Looking through the PC scripts, there doesn't appear to be any way for these glitches to occur. Weird things happen in San Andreas, so I would never discount any random glitch. But it looks like 3 completely different bizarre glitches would need to occur to reproduce these results. I'll see if I can find your script version to see what's going on. Which version of SA do you have? It looks like a recent "mobile port" type game as I noticed the limited slot selection and autosave slot. Does CJ get an automatic 4 star wanted level when visiting SF or LV? What's up with the map fog in your game? I'm used to a gray overlay obscuring the map and hiding icons in areas that haven't been explored. In your video it only shows the cluckin' bell and CJ icon. _________________________________________________ Added: I think I found something in my android scripts that seems to match the description of your glitch. It's my understanding that you have a remastered version with similar scripts. Is the hangar at the airstrip active? Are the barriers between islands missing? Do you have access to Bincos, Pro-laps and Sub Urban? Actually, it looks like the Intro mission follows the suspicious code segment, and that mission will deactivate the garage, raise the barriers, and lock the stores, but I'm curious anyway. Just to be safe, before you invest too much time in this master save, forge ahead enough to confirm that Hernadez calls to warn CJ against leaving town, and Sweet calls to unlock the gyms (display their icons). I'm pretty sure that the out of town properties are unlocked before a potential glitch can occur, but better to check now than fret about it later. Yes, I do get an automatic 4 star wanted level from reaching the boundaries that aren't unlocked yet such as yay yay ka boom and the green sabre. I think you're talking about the map being obscured, yeah I did this glitch by starting a new game so the other areas weren't explored yet, I also found out you don't need to skip any of the first cutscenes as long as you see Ganton flash on the bottom right before the Liberty city scene and than going onto his arrest. I think there's some link connecting both the jetpack glitch and this one because I think it showing Ganton probably means CJ spawned before the airport cutscene kinda like how you die on your jetpack before being thrown out of the cop car. I seem to notice the only abnormality being that the later houses are unlocked except by houses requiring a phone call, so no the clothing stores are not unlocked, the barriers are still there as they should, and the hanger at the abandoned airstrip isn't active. I have also checked that yes, the 2 phone calls did occur with no odd effects, Hernandez does warn CJ not to go out of boundaries and the dumbell icon does show up when Sweet called me up after progressing a little on another save file. This glitch on the latest xbox 360 release, not sure about other versions but. The way I think the glitch works is like when you get any loading screen right, well when starting a new save I try pressing the A button or any button that skips cutscenes as such. I start mashing at he yes prompt for starting a new save initiating the loading screen still mashing A untill the Ganton city text shows up before the liberty city text for the beginning cutscene maybe having CJ spawn there or something before getting to the prerendered cutscene. I think the normal total % for mastersaves were 13% but buying all the houses in San Andreas that were green, (btw when you save in a 4 star boundarie house the stars don't show up cause of heavens and all that junk, getting out of the safe house does prompt you with 4 stars so I guess this makes farming for the minigun a whole lot easier. Garages from safehouses are available so mpre storage space in the master save. I got down the glitch and I know how to do it, but I'm just speculating on WHY it occurs. Unlike the jetpack glitch though, no early access to barber shops and I'm perfectly content with that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You'll have some clothing icons at locked shops until very late in the game, but most of the other icons will be correct by the time Doberman is completed. I suspect that the jetpack trick won't work quite the same way when using this glitch. It looks like the Pleasure Domes and Zero' Shop will be locked when usually, iirc, they are open after the jetpack trick. A minor issue. I suspect you'll end up with a handful of duplicate icons when the normal icons are added later, but I doubt you'll notice the effect. I think you found a legitimate glitch. The jetpack trick actually needs a button cheat. Here you are simply activating the script as designed. Since the gyms are unlocked on a remastered save the master save completion is something like 1.59 higher than the standard 13.37% possible on older versions. With the properties unlocked you'll be able to set a new record for highest completion percentage on a master save. Good luck. The logic is a bit weird, but basically if you press key 16 (sprint - also used to skip) then run the codes starting at main_65553. If you stare at it long enough you'll start to see why I was asking specific questions about barriers and interior access. What isn't so obvious is how the safehouses turned green. When the cities are unlocked the Buy Properties script will make the country safehouses available. In addition, this segment will set $22 = 1, which allows the properties in the cities to unlock as well. Normally, unlocking the cities early will cause the phone calls for the early LS strand to end, and without calls from Cesar or Tenpenny the missions can't progress into the Badlands. Fortunately, this segment executes before the LS1 phone thread has started, so this problem is avoided. Your glitch has no name. Would you care to do the honors? Oh yeah the progress thing, I do think it does exceed 14.96% since I have 18.72% List of things I did: Fire Fighter sub mission Los Santos Horse Betting and getting Max Money Buying all available houses except for the 3 phone call ones Acquired all 3 available girlfriends: Katie, Barbara, and Michelle Los Santos and Las Venturras Courier Assets Burglary NRG 500 challenge and Las Venturra Gym Kickstart Stadium Max Score 50% sex appeal Max Pilot's License Not much I know. The system depends on widgets for input, and no widgets appear until the Airport scene is in progress. However, I was able to reproduce the 4-Star Properties Glitch on Xbox One, which provides cleaner videos. Still, I think your controller video is extremely helpful. Thanks. Weird. I thought I saw the Ganton flash on screen briefly but it doesn't seem to show in the video. (Yeah. Ganton flashes in the original but it got lost in compression or something.) From what I hear, if the ps3 and xbox one ports are ports of the ps2, it might just work on ps2. Not completely sure; although, I do think that the pc version is likely to work. OrionSR Posted May 22, 2019 Share Posted May 22, 2019 (edited) It looks like duplicate icons isn't much of a concern as the "icons shown" flags are set for fast food, ammu-nations and the first three clothing shops. But there's a fairly major problem. The early clothing flag is preventing Sweet's call from unlocking Bincos, Pro-Laps, and Sub Urban clothing stores. I suspect they will remain locked the entire game. Fortunately, the same problem doesn't look likely for Ammu-nations as access to the shooting range is required for 100%. There are several segments of the MS_Skip thread that will unlocked the the shops, but I'm not sure how to trigger them. This thread doesn't exist in the PC/PS2 scripts I'm familiar with, but it might still be possible to unlock these shops by failing a specific mission enough to trigger a skip option. Since they get unlocked via missions like Saint Mark's Bistro unlocking Dauchands. Just checked and it seems the 3 locked ones are unlocked after the mission "Nines and AKs" Zip after "Are You Going to San Fierro" Victim after "Learning to Fly" Didier Sachs after "Saint Mark's Bistro" So maybe Zip, Victim, and Didier Sachs shouldn't have a problem. There are glitches such as the duping glitch that could help, I hope ammunition doesn't get locked though but we'll see, I think it has something to do with Nines and AKs. Be very careful with duping though if you duped doberman twice, it would make reuniting the famililies skipped and impossible, there are other instances but there are speedruns that show it off in action Duping though might not contribute to 100% so we might have to scratch that idea of the window. The call that unlocks the shops is actually connected to the Nines and AKs mission, which isn't part of the usual call routines. I'm fairly confident that there won't be a problem with Ammu-nations unlocking as expected. Confirmation would be nice, but there isn't any reason to hurry. Good thing too. I am so sick of going to the airport and stealing the Shamal. Also I plan to mix territories into SF early in the game so being able to save overseas is going to help tremendously. . Can anyone confirm if it works on the PS4 remaster version, or the PS4/PS5 Definitive Edition?
