Edwards
Hey, does the F@H banner count, or not? I'd like to wear it and an AMF/LFM alliance banner, but that'd put me over the limit, if the F@H one does count.
The Quick and the Dead
It's supposed to not count, but 3vil doesn't know that.

Edwards
It's supposed to not count, but 3vil doesn't know that. I checked, according to his topic in Public Gang Chat, he recognizes it as being exempt, just like the stoner sigs.
Exkabewbikadid
jevon is going very fast and has HUGE wu's... Yeah, I noticed that he has 2 processers going. If he keeps cranking out 73's, you're gonna be screwed I better get to work on "The Machine" I have planned... whatever that is Speaking of banners, I think I'll get a battle going for the official banner on the stats page in the SMBL forum here in the next week or so. Maybe have some new sigs made as well.
Wheelman
jevon is going very fast and has HUGE wu's... Jeez, you're not kidding... Has Jev got some rackmounted beast of a server churning out these huge WUs 24/7? A pair of new Opterons, perhaps? Actually, if anyone notices the forums running slower these days while Jev soars off into the lead, you might just be on to something...
majestik
hmmm i still do more wu's i get small sh*t now, 15s 23s and 30s.. craptacular, i want the 73pointers
foreverstoned
I've been doing this for a few months, I've done nearly 80 work units so far, but only the one's I've done since I added the team will be counted in the GTAforum team stats, otherwise I'd be top of the list! Exkabewbikadid
How come i'm not on the list yet I downloaded and got it running 2 weeks ago. Are you sure you have it configured right? If you don't have our team number 32093 entered correctly, then it's not going to show up on the list. Also make sure you are using your own username and not one that's already being used (unless you want to help that person get ahead ) Click on the folding icon down by your clock and you should see something similar to this on the left of the box (with your own username of course): Here it says I have 6 WUs done (actually 15 right now, but this is an old screenshot). How many WUs does it say you've done so far? After 2 weeks it should definately be more than zero.
Edwards
Just a note to JL25 and anyone else who has deadlines disabled due to work being stopped before it's done: Disabling them only wastes your CPU. You will not get credited for a WU that had to be reassigned to someone else because you didn't get it done quick enough. AFAIK.
Datalord
EM3 says i have a genome core help? i had to reinstall f@h because none of the packets were downloading so does it matter the genome core? will it still count as the folding@home stats one? edit: its worth 18 points and its /

Just see if the WU is added to your stats a couple hours after it's finished. If it doesn't count, then do the following to make sure you only get Folding@home WUs: Go to configure > Advanced tab > Client type and choose "folding@home" from the drop down list. Heh, unless "the suits" are willing to give us a F@H team forum, I think Mike39 will need to seriously update his initial post with all this info. It's not encouraging participation when someone wanting to help out has to sift through 12 pages just to get some answers.

JoeyLeone25
Update now on 60/400 bein goin for about 3hours each day & for about 7days so I doubt I'll make it before the deadline & about the points, how do you get different ammounts of points as I've seen some with 1WU finished with (estimate) 70p's while others who have done 2WU's have 40p's
majestik
different work units have different "weight" a smaller work unit takes less time to complete, but weights less. i prefer big wu's (73pointers) because they tend to be more efficient i dunno... but i always get small sh*t i'm mostly on 23.6 pointers now (wu #633) refer to http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html
Wheelman
Yeah, I prefer the bigger WUs too, but I've been getting really small sh*tty ones for the past few days.

Here screen shot (lol I threw in a few extras.) LOL, AOL=Bullsh*tters! Anyways, that's messed up, man. Just un-install it and try re-installing it. you might want to try downloading the "text only" client instead of the graphical one. I 've been reading through some threads on other forums and people seem to have more problems with the graphical client. I'm probably gonna switch to the Text-only one myself because the graphical one is f*cking up with sliced images (images that have a little information box that pops up when the mouse cursor is placed over them). It's not a big deal, but just annoying. If all else fails, blame it on AOL, lol. No seriously, AOL could somehow be keeping the program from downloading WUs. Also, in the configure panel under connection, set it to use IE settings if it isn't already.

Exkabewbikadid
EDIT: Can someone explain what all this WU and Pointers are and what they look like and so on. Majestic posted this link a few posts back that gives a table for all the projects, not including those that are still in beta. http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html Basically each Work Unit (WU) is worth a certain amount of credit. For example, you might get a WU that has a value of 73 and you might get one with a value of only 5.6. If you look at our stats page (see my sig) you'll notice that the team rankings are determined by the credit value and not the number of WUs completed. So it's like: person A - 1st place, points 73, WUs 1 person B - 2nd place, points 66, WUs 3 Also, when you move your mouse pointer over the Folding@home icon in the tray by the clock, you'll see something like 100/400. The number 400 refers to the number of frames in the work unit. So 100/400 means 100 frames are finished. Each frame takes so many minutes to complete too. The faster your CPU is, the less time each frame takes. Each WU also has a deadline for completion. So WU are given 12 days to complete and others are given 50 days. If the WU doesn't meet the deadline, then it is terminated and given to another person. Deadlines are based on a 500 MHz Celeron processor folding for 10 hours a day. Man, we so need a team forum to organize all this info.
