Social Club email changed, my account was hacked?

So yeah, as the title suggest, I got an email from R* today stating that "the email adress for your account Dinosbacsi has been updated", and that emails from now on will be sent to a different adress. I quicky went onto the recover option and got it back, so it fines, but guess my account was hacked? Whoever did it also changed even my profile picture, and who knows what else. I didn't check yet, I hope they didn't mess up my GTA Online character.

 

So my question is, am I safe now that I recovered it, or should I be afraid and is there anything else I should do?

If you haven't changed your password then they can just go in and do it again.

I did, so hopefully they'll not get in again. Also everything seems to be alright in my Online game, so that's good. It's kinda messed up people go around hacking random accounts.

Definitely check your Online character and status when you're next freely available and get in touch with Rockstar Support if there's any anomalies as they'll be able to see the activity associated on the account and rectify any changes. 

 

EDIT - damn, posted right after you did!  Glad it's all okay though. 
And yeah, people stealing Social Club accounts and reselling them has been going on for a long time now sadly. Best way is to have a strong password and 2FA activated.

Seems like I have this problem myself now, how can I recover my account? I've been making a report at Rockstar Support, but no answer, and I'm not gonna make a new account and buy the game again
