Couple of questions, does camp still have a life of its own? I don't wanna waste cash moving it or anything. Also, when I load in and when I join on call story missions, I'm always put back into the clothing I chose when I created my character. And sometimes my horse has animal skins on it in missions. Are these regular bugs for others?

I am pleasently surprised by how effective defensive mode seems to be at the moment. I was walking around in warzones earlier, the two times I was shot at in defensive mode it did like 5-10% damage and I either just ran or blew the guys head off with no punishment other than my honour got hit.

 

And yea, that's the downside of the update, sadly not a whole load of the more evident bugs were fixed. Still can't save more than 3 custom outfits, as for the camp system I don't even know with that these days, it never spawns automatically for me.

Noticed it too but wasn't sure if it was just me, tons of animal spawns all over the place. Trekking from town to town I was running past flocks of birds, herds of deer and buck, rabbits on the road, could always see birds in the sky. Never had issues when I was doing a bit of hunting either.

It's been implemented quite well.

It's the same style as in SP, Texas hold'em. Only you enter matchmaking when you go to a table. It feels quite fluid, there's always players etc and a full game.

It doesn't take place in the actual game world, if it did it could be an issue.

Betting, etc is sensible. A solid addition, finally.

 

Is there a way yet to customise or change the appearance of our character? Tired of seeing my wrinkles, especially when I made the toon I said 0 wrinkles but the game was like 'have tonnes'

I heard plenty of shooting and saw a few guys running about in Valentine but I just did my thing and plodded off round the corner before logging off. Quite pleased it seems to be helping, I'm looking forward to jumping on again tomorrow, lol. No bad thing.

Because you can't be targeted and because free aim in RDR2 is utter trash even if people do shoot at you they might as well be pissing in the wind. I was standing still earlier and some guy about 3 feet away needed 5-6 shots to hit me once lmao.

Finally able to remove 'slippery b-' from my ability card line up.

 

No longer a must have in order to ride into town to buy a hat or sell a pelt.

 

Was in Valentine where people were going absolute apey, strolled through at a leisurely pace... not even a scratch.

 

After waiting for 6 months, I can finally stroll and mosey without constant fear.

Didn't see this mentioned yet but there's a "Land of Oppotunities" option present next to Free Roam on the main menu. That's neat.

 

i finally got home and loaded up the game.

Chuffed to bits they finally added poker. Though most people seem to not know how to play and just go max bet as soon as possible to skip the betting rounds, rather than to try to bluff people into folding. Takes a bit of the fun out of it, but it definitely feels good to win 25 quid for doing nothing. Here’s hoping they add blackjack from singleplayer in in the future, along with bring back liar’s dice. And maybe add stud poker, faro, and Mexican monte as well.

What can of changes/expanded features have they added to the character creator? Is it thoroughly changed or just some basics? I can't find any videos of the "new" creator on YouTube yet. I hate my character's looks despite being more or less as good as I could possibly make him (with the old creator). I just wanna know if it's worth to start over or not.

Go to any poker table in the game, press and hold Y to begin matchmaking.

A nasty little habit I’ve noticed return from singleplayer is one person tends to get dealt the winning hand the majority of the time. I’ve received the game’s blessing and been cursed by it. I’ve had games where I’ve had the winning hand upwards of 10 times in a row, and had games where I would not get a winning hand single time in 20 rounds. I don’t know why they did this, it really ruins it the longer you play. 

Word of advice: if someone at the table has upwards of $50, just leave. They’re getting the winning hand most of the time.

Hrm.. I've not played in RDO my self, honestly don't remember playing it in SP either outside the mission but this to me sounds like RNG being RNG. Stuff like that can absolutely happen legitimately.

It’s only in 3 places that I’ve seen, saint denis/black water/and tumbleweed.  The option to play when in party chat isn’t there only to host a game.

I’m on Xbox and it’s there for me.  Maybe reset console or try a different lobby.

About an hour ago when I was really testing it, someone got a full house, a flush, a straight flush, and 3 of a kind twice. Consecutively. Either he is the luckiest cunt the world has ever known, or the game randomly assigns players an ‘increased odds of winning hand’ check. Another player beat on one of the 3-kind hands with a lucky full house, but he still was getting incredibly good hands a majority of the time. I refuse to believe that’s pure RNG.

Absent.

 

Horse bonding/gender issues, lag, disconnects. Still a thing.

Ability to glitch a solo lobby, patched immediately.

 

I simply do not derive any pleasure or satisfaction from a game that shoves me up against other players all the time. Aside from griefing or being interrupted with what I WANT TO DO, it also reduces the spawn rate of AI and animals so the world feels more empty. Makes it feel like a deathmatch instead of an actual sprawling open world.

 

R* peaked with GTAO, it's downhill from here.

They are pretty stubborn. It's a bit like how in GTA there's so, so many people who don't like the orbital cannon or broomstick - they still haven't touched either.

 

They have listened with a lot of other stuff though, even if they do have some weird opposition to invite only sessions right now. Finally getting some card games in, more content to play, activating the second barrel on the LeMat, and it looks like bounty hunting might become a thing down the road.

 

It is annoying though when there's that one big thing you want (or need), and they just have this reluctance. Hope you get it. I think they'll give in eventually.

 

I don't think I've been attacked all day. Kind of a shame actually - I want to see how well defensive mode works.
