Horse bonding/gender issues, lag, disconnects. Still a thing.

Ability to glitch a solo lobby, patched immediately.

 

I simply do not derive any pleasure or satisfaction from a game that shoves me up against other players all the time. Aside from griefing or being interrupted with what I WANT TO DO, it also reduces the spawn rate of AI and animals so the world feels more empty. Makes it feel like a deathmatch instead of an actual sprawling open world.

 

R* peaked with GTAO, it's downhill from here.

Yep, the beta is now over. The LeMat is pretty cool too with the shotgun mode on it, been using it a bit today.

Private sessions is my number one request, have submitted feedback every week asking for this, and they never even respond to the broad fanbase that have been asking for private sessions . The only way to get their attention is to just not play the game until they put in private sessions. Enough people do that, they will notice

Played in saint denis. It was the basic Texas hold ‘em.  Kinda slow but that’s poker and at least it’s somthing new.  Are there other kinds of poker at other locations like “Obama, hi/low, draw/stud ?

Not big on poker my self but hopefully it's a sign of things to come regarding minigames in RDO. Didn't actually try it my self earlier but can someone tell me how it works? Can a bunch of people in the same lobby walk up to the table and all start playing, or does it put you in matchmaking for it?

This update seems great! Cant wait to try that bank robbery mission.

Think it’s also cool that they added the pig farm characters from story mode. But they give out the same stranger missions that we have did before, it should be new stranger mission too.

 

Do they show up randomly or must we visit a spesific person to get to do the new one?

 

I like how they surpriced us today, i was thinking nahhh nothing going on this tuesday either, and suddently i see Rockstar posting a trailer on YouTube

Matchmaking. That would be good though

It’s matchmaking I believe. The players I saw were spawning in/out.  I didn’t see any players walking around the saloon

The Defensive play style is for those players who would rather explore the world in Free Roam than engage in conflict with others – and it’s designed to let other players know that you don’t want to tangle with them, as well as minimize opportunities for griefing. At the same time, Defensive players will not be alerted to PvP Free Roam missions and can not be pulled into them while in Defensive mode, allowing them to go about their business as freely as possible. Players in Defensive mode will be indicated by a shield icon, will take reduced damage from enemy players, cannot be lassoed, melee attacked, executed or targeted with auto-aim. Defensive players will also be excluded from being targeted in PvP-related missions such as Player Assassination. Those who attack Defensive players receive hefty penalties via the Hostility system., while players who initiate conflict while in Defensive mode will be instantly pulled out of Defensive mode) and also receive similar Hostility penalties."

 

Ok, now this is something I've been waiting for. I just hope it's not passive mode like GTA where I can't interact with the world and shoot at hostile NPC's or animals. If it's not, I'm good.

Going by the Newswire you can do exactly that lol, you can invite people to the table and make invite only sessions. Sounds like the buy-ins are higher in public matches though.

I believe buy-ins for private sessions are $5 and $25 for public sessions. When you walk up to a table you have the option for host a private game or joint public matchmaking

Decided against creating a new character as I don't want my stats getting messed up.

 

But so far so good. Collected some loot from my 2 treasure maps in the heartlands and swamp trouble free, blue dots here and there too. Went to a fence in the heartlands too and Valentine for the butcher, gunsmith, store etc. Did a mission, think an older one. Great lil' session.

 

Couple of questions, does camp still have a life of its own? I don't wanna waste cash moving it or anything. Also, when I load in and when I join on call story missions, I'm always put back into the clothing I chose when I created my character. And sometimes my horse has animal skins on it in missions. Are these regular bugs for others?

 

Anyway, played with a bit of apprehension but hope that goes away with time. Certainly a lot less already. Good, good!

 

Can't believe I've got 70 gold and $800 stashed, I last remember buying a recipe for arrows and the other horse stables for trophies, lol. Sweet.

Anybody noticed a buff for animal spawns? I was riding through the marsh north of Saint Denis and there seemed to be more valuable birds present than there has been in a while.
