HisNameIsMilad
Console gamer here , does anybody know how to improve that annoying filter/blur/glow on the screen? Maybe in the menu settings ? Or console settings? I try so many ways but the glow around cars ,objects and people is such an eyesore to me , thanks in advance!
CreepShow
If you're playing TLaD, there's a setting to make the granulated effect less intense. As for regular gta4, welp, its a console, can't do much about it. HisNameIsMilad
billiejoearmstrong8
I guess you can play around with the display settings to try and minimise it a bit, not sure of the best way but maybe try adjusting the brightness and contrast HisNameIsMilad

LazlowsucksiloveslutS
What console are you talking about? Are you playing on 360. ps3. ps4 or xbox one? I really cant help with newer consoles. I recommend default display settings. In TV menu you should play in game mode or dynamic mode. If your tv has 1080p pixel direct ootion in option settings, try that but I personally see no difference. In xbox 360 set HDMI color space to RGB or source- You can also try a lower resolution such as 480p as it makes things easier to see and better colors. I don't mind the glow thing but I changed the settings to make it less dark and I remember when I was messing with it to get it right it was making the lights look more/less blurry as I was changing the brightness and contrast so I'm thinking it's possible to alter it. Maybe someone else can give more detailed advice on it though. HisNameIsMilad

I played on ps3 xbox 360 & xbox one x and it’s never below 720p and I have the rgb to limited because full makes the colors a lil too saturated but maybe I can adjust that on my tv and after doing countless adjustments in the game menu under display I noticed that this filter is always there even if I go extreme low or high or in between idk if you guys know what I’m saying but the brightness of the glow isn’t my problem but around every edge I see like a slightly yet not complete invisible glow no matter what I try on the game menu settings it’s not going away , I envy you pc players , and on tv I tried anything to lower that effect but when I try to lower it the screen becomes too dull and dark and anything else makes the glow appear again oh well haha thank you all for your time and advice means a lot! HisNameIsMilad
Here are two examples the first one has that glow it may be hard to notice https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.usgamer.net/amp/gta-4-iv-open-world-realistic-10th-anniversary-analysis and he second example without it which I prefer much more https://cdn-gamer--network-net.cdn.ampproject.org/ii/w680/s/cdn.gamer-network.net/2018/usgamer/gta-iv3.jpg/EG11/thumbnail/600x375/format/jpg/quality/
LazlowsucksiloveslutS
I don't envy pc players at all. GTAIV on PC is pure torture. It looks and plays better on consoles. The first time I booted GTAIV on Xbox 360 I was shocked how smooth everything was. Playing GTAIV on Pc gave me a PTSD. I actually feel sorry for PC players-
