                       GTA Water IO 1.0b


MAX Script for export and import of water for gta sa (improved analogue of  waterIO)
has an interface for setting water parameters

features:
- support of triangular water exports
- water import along with all its parameters
- auxiliary utilities for working and setting up water

 

in the archive there is an image with a detailed description of the script interface

 

upd: 20.03.2019

Compatible: 3ds max 2009 and up (maybe versions and less)

I Got a problem.

everytime i leave the place and go back there like 10 Meters from there my game crashed everytime.

i encountered the same problem in the old water.ms by deniska (?) before , but i found the solution which i removed 1 of 307 surfaces. and the crash will be fixed. but since your script merged those surfaces too 2-3 objects (object001-object003) i tried to delete it by editable mesh. (i deleted 1-2 default surfaces) but it seems like nothing solved at all.Do you have any idea what's wrong and how to fix the crash ?

 @6Four9 did you export quadrilateral water or were there triangles? Can you show the mesh of water from 3dmax?

i couldn't provide any ss of my 3ds max right now , since i'm not on my main computer.

so what i did is i use fix plane,the mesh of water changed to bigger and moved little bit from the position should be. so i moved it back to the right position. that's all.

perhaps that what's make it crash.

am i not supposed to do anything to mesh of water after i clicked fix plane ? or could i ?

@6Four9 That's right, the FIX plane align the coordinates of the vertices of the plane to even numbers, which leads to shifts, unfortunately this cannot be avoided, otherwise the game will crash, in the future I will try to make the shift minimal. I can advise only manually align the coordinates as needed, the main thing so that they are even and preferably without the fractional part, it is also important that the plane has even angles of 90 degrees

allright , that's good to know , so instead of moving the mesh of water i should move the object ex (pools) to the mesh of water right ?

the problem is the mesh of water moved to bad position like ( trough the ground , and the middle of fences of the mansion) that's unfortunate :(

I already wrote, move the grid by hand,  do not use the Fix Plane and manually align the coordinates of the vertices
