Good day everyone!

It's been a long time I didn't create any thread/post in the forum. However, due to a recent issue, I had to come.

 

So, yesterday, I had nearly 29M or something like that in my GTA:Online money, I had them via selling products from businesses, selling vehicles, gun runner, mission and extra... I was super shocked when I found my all money gone and I have only 1M?! ALL the damn money just disappeared?! I am super pissed off due to the issue. Anyone here who can help me out or advice me something about it?

Did you used to have a lot of money from duping/glitching that you already spent? Or are you on PC and spent time in a populated public session.

No, I didn't earn money like that at all. Yes, I am on PC, not really spent a lot, I had money yesterday and today when I joined, my money gone.

PC is modder hell. Someone probably emptied your bank account for lols. Open a support ticket with Rockstar as they'll be able to see any sudden money loss.

As far as I know, there's no current method for a PC 'modder' to deplete someone else's in-game money. Indeed those method(s) existed, but I think Rockstar have got a good hold on that now?

Do you still have your product etc or has that disappeared as well? If you do - it could have been R*'s servers screwing up and not saving your progress. If you've lost your product AND money, then there's definitely something up. 

 

As @Gaffa mentioned - there was a few ways modders could deplete your bank account, but that was using fraudulent Bad Sport transactions (by blowing up a spawned vehicle over and over) but that was "patched" a while ago and I haven't seen it since. There's also no public remote event which can remove money from another player either.

I didn't check the products that much but I can ensure you one thing, my money all are gone. It happened when I joined today to a lobby, I assume China players were there and maybe they did something? Who knows. I have submitted a ticket, let's see what happen. I really start hating it, since all the money is hard working money.

Check to see if the product you sold before (to earn the money) has been restored or not. That'll tell you (and us) whether it was a server side glitch or something else.

 

There's also no (public) way a modder could remove money from you like that - and definitely without you knowing about it, so it does sound like a glitch on R*'s end and checking to see if the product you sold has been restored or not will give us an idea what happened as well.

Why do you say they were Chinese players in that lobby? Can you please elaborate?

No, the products were not restored. Other items are also the same as I left with.

China players know as modders, cheater and all the stuff. I even found one china player who was cheating and taking advantages. God mode, flying without a vehicle and other stuff is common.

good to know. If I ever play with anyone who tells me they're from China I will make sure to report them to R* immediately and tell my friends to do the same

I believe there's an old Chinese proverb that goes along the lines of this: "If you can <break the rules> and get away with it, then do" with the only thing I'm not entirely sure on is the specifics of break the rules. I think it stretches to the extent of saying that if you can benefit whilst someone else suffers, do that too. I dunno, been a while.

Ahh that's no good - customer service across the world is going downhill and not enough people seem to be concerned about it... anyway, try posting on the ticket again and see if that re-opens it. 
Do remember though that this is GTA Forums, a fan forum not affiliated or associated with Rockstar Games on any sort of official level.
