micaiahisawesome
I have an HP 2009m monitor which was bought a couple years ago. It was working great up until now. The problem is, when the monitor comes on, the display stays on for 2.5 seconds and then turns off. However, the monitor still appears to be working. If I turn the monitor off and then turn it back on, I get the same thing. Turning the computer off and back on also gives the same thing, and if I let it go into sleep mode and come out of it, it also gives the same thing. Please help, this has been happening since yesterday and I don't wanna keep turning it off and back on again. EDIT: Got a new monitor! Banana
Aoe you able to get into the monitor's settings? It's possible an auto-sleep option got turned on.
yoječ
Maybe it's just the monitor's backlight that broke?

I had a similar issue with an old monitor and in my case the PSU in the monitor was dying (blown capacitor).
