Since most titles got their own encounter thread of this type of polls, I'd like to give GTA Vice City Stories a shot.

I give it 8/10.

It's my second favorite of the 3D era's titles. Its story has nothing on Vice City's, but it's still pretty good. As for the gameplay, it feels like it properly combined assets from San Andreas with Vice City, which gave an incredible experience.

El Penguin Bobo

A solid 8.5. It deserves a spot in my top 5 GTA games. VCS felt like a dream come true to other VC fans, you can swim, own/take over properties, the side missions even improved by adding checkpoints to them.

9/10. Ability to swim, feel like you're actually building a criminal empire, a more aesthetically pleasing map and a fantastic story places this game near the very top of my list as far as rankings go. I still think some kinks should be worked out with this game but for what it is, it's a solid title.

6/10

The story was decent (better than LCS) and the missions were good.

But there's something about this game that make it feel unpolished.

The gameplay was very bad with terrible camera, bad aiming, lots of bugs vehicles disappearing from garage and the weapons were so overpowered like smg and Molotov.

The driving was smooth though.

The game's biggest plus point is empire building missions and this adds a lot of replay value to the game.

A good GTA title for handheld but a mediocre game overall compared to other games in the series.

Liberty City Executioner

I'd give it a 7/10. I only watched YouTube gameplay of it as I only play Xbox consoles, but it definitely makes for a pretty good YouTube series, :)

The Coconut Kid

Rated 7.

Vice City Stories did a lot of things very well -- and was incredibly advanced for what was initially a PSP title.

Empire building allows us to assemble crime rings from the ground up with a depth and level of choice that we hadn't previously seen in a GTA title.

The hand-to-hand combat is excellent -- and still the best in the series in my opinion. This isn't just on merit of Vic's fighting style either: the pedestrians are equally as tough and can give you a good go.

Fantastic soundtrack. Possibly even exceeds the original game in places.

Let down by a poor protagonist, subpar story and map issues though.

8.5/10

Great predecessor to VC, Empire building was an awesome feature, building the Vance empire was satisfying. I also liked  the side missions such as Beach patrol and imo has the best Taxi driver mission in the 3d era. The combat also was the best in the 3d era and being able to swim was a nice touch.  The story ws just ok imo, characters like Forbes seemed wasted and i liked the returning characters better in their VC incarnation. Otherwise it's a really good game

@Jack Lupino omg I thought the disappearing vehicle bug happened only to me, good to know it's a common bug. And yeah aiming in this game is a b*tch lol

I'd rate it 3 at most. Targeting, vehicle handling, city, characters etc are  poorer than it's predecessor. The city is ample pink-pink and also it's citizens.

7/10.

It's an improvement over LCS however I don't care for Vic, the 80s aesthetic is too over done and over the top and this might be a petty reason, but the fact it locked off The Malibu Club as an interior is a cardinal sin to me as a hybrid Vice City fanboy.  Things I like are the empire building and melee combat.

Liberty-TG

10/10

VCS,fist GTA I played,it still is a very good game with good characteristics and lot of improvements after LCS.Still miss Empire Building, this game feels like a bridge to GTA IV because the characters are more serious than other 3D universe games.Only issues are lack of weapons from Tooled Up,very few missions(only 59) and VCS which is a predecesor to VC,looks more futuristic than VC,like VCS was in early 2000's not 1984,but still an amazing game(considering it was for PSP),with the same amount of cars of VC but new ones were added and no RC Bandits, also Golf in Prawn,Empire Building and amazing radio stations.

7/10.

The story was weaker than Vice City obviously, but the game was very fun and felt a lot more complete than LCS for me. I really had a lot of fun playing it back in the day.

I think it's unfair to rate a game I haven't played in a decade at least, but I remember VCS to be very buggy on PS2. The empire system was a great idea but it didn't seem very polished. Suddenly you would have businesses ruined for no reason at all, with no rival gang having tried to claim it before. Sad to see it was never implemented into any other game, that was a lost opportunity.

The story was fine I guess, but Vic was a huge hypocrite. Not wanting to do anything with drugs yet he can (and must) build an empire that encompasses drugs. They were trying once again to make a more human, likeable and sort of heroic protagonist, something that definitely doesn't work in a "rising to the top" type of game. IMO, they would only achieve that properly in GTA IV with Niko just being a mere gunman for most of the game.

Lance was insufferable, I get that before the death of Vic he could have been a bit more joyful and less experienced, but I think they went too far with the exaggerated "goofiness" of his caracter. Not completely ruined like Donald Love, but not very far from that. The rest of the game was pretty decent, fine characters, the tragic story of Louise wasn't bad. The antagonists were present for most of the game, but IMO they don't beat Sonny and his calls, getting angrier and more nervous every time. He is among the very best antagonists of the series, along with Catalina, Tenpenny and Dimitri Rascalov.

I would give it a 7 out of 10.

When I first played the game, I thought it was boring. Now it's one of my favorite 3D universe games.

Vice City criminal

As far as content goes for the hardware it was released on;
A 10/10 PSP game and a 9/10 PS2 game.
the PS2 version is still my favorite though.

7/10, Vic is too soft and I don't like how Lance was handled but its a fun prequel overall and I enjoyed playing it (haven't really done another playthrough since 10 years or so though). Nowhere near VC or SA but still the third best 3D era GTA

9/10, my favorite in the franchise and it's a crime that it hasn't been released on PSN as part of the classics, I want to replay it so bad.
